I left Jake when he was 15 months old and I managed to survive. I need to do it again. I feel mentally unstable. I feel like I am hanging on by a thread. It is taking all of my power not to start crying every 5 min. I am literally sick to my stomach. I keep telling myself that this is the way it has to be. I know my kids will still love me...but this is killing me. How am I ever going to leave them tomorrow?

:grouphug: I know it will be hard. :sad1:

Goodness, that picture makes the room look so small! It doesn't seem that bad IRL.

Anyone else brave enough to take a picture of the Mexican "police?" I did ask them if I could take one first...good thing I wasn't hauled off...

To be honest I didn't even see them!!

Brandi, the only police that I really notice were at the roadblock when we were going to the ruins.

I've been thinking about you, Brandi. I know it doesn't quite make up for missing your babies, but think about how excited your students will be to have you back! I know how my kids miss a favorite teacher!

makes sense about the tips, I just thought they would add a bit more.
I went to DCL and the med repo now is 12 -3105.44, 11 4305.44. I can't get to my personal folder on my work email....I saved all my day 1 med repo pricing in there.

V, if you go to the DCL site and look under the Med, it will tell you the price range. The starting prices are what they opened at. The Repos haven't gone up much. I know the Cat 6 went up $100 to the same price as the 5.

is there no bunk in the 10's? I like the bed at the back much better.

The beds are in the back in the 10-12s because there is no window on DCL. It is not like this on all ships though. On RCCL Explorer, even with the veranda the bed was in the back.

My biggest hesitation for the August PC Repo is the heat. I remember reports of the AC not working properly or effeciently enough because of the humidity. That may have been for the WB though...:scratchin

I still have it, but that is what I will be transferring for a 2008 cruise. We just have too many $$ projects going on. DH decided to jump into too many things at once. The whole trip was supposed to be a summer long thing and he can't do it this summer. The only reason I convinced him (well, he still didn't like the idea of a 2 weeks for himself on the ship) was we were going to stay in Egypt for a month then take two weeks or so to travel through Europe to get to Spain. Taking DCL back left me with only 1 plane ride.

I have to go make a call to our insurance company. I think I may have to go take some pictures of what is left of the skid marks from the accident DH was in also. They settled at 60% DH fault and 40% the other driver. If she weren't speeding and didn't go into his lane because she locked her brakes it wouldn't have happened. I am disappointed in our insurance company for not fighting it more.

I didn't notice this mentioned in the Navigator. Was it listed? I'm bummed we missed it. We love doing gingerbread houses every christmas but this year never got around to it since we were so busy with the cruise and all.

You had to sign up at guest services...I think it was the first day.

Thanks Marielle, that is what I keep telling myself. Everytime I stop at the school (I went in a few times to have lunch with some friends) the kids were always excited.

That would bum me out too!

I'm so tired of the cold. 28 degrees here this morning but not a cloud in the sky so no snow. I heard we may get snow again by thursday.

Yep, that would be the stuff that is coming thru here today. Enjoy! They now have said that the police are requiring chains on all vehicles anywhere in the Portland area. So glad I made the decision to not even try it this morning.

so Lisa, did you decide on the repo?

Well gang . . .

With all this talk about the Repo cruises, on the eve of the possible announcement, I am going to throw something else out on the wall and see if it sticks. Hopefully none of you that we have changed plans with will want to lynch me if we do this, but I have thought this through logically . . .

(luckily, Canton Ohio is a long drive for most of you)

I already mentioned that we cannot under any circumstances do the August repo due to work. While I could schedule it and be hopeful, I do not want to put my nerves through that at that time, so I will stay away from that timeframe.

That leaves May for us. Now, if we do May, can I pull Sophia out of 2nd grade for one week in December, and two weeks in May? Can I afford two cruises within six months of each other? The answer to both is no. Will I pull Sophia out of school for two weeks to see the Panama Canal and cruise for two weeks? Yes. Can I wait 18 months between cruises to see the Panama Canal? Yes. Do I want to cruise with at least some good friends from last year . . .? Yes.

So where does that lead me? If Disney announces a May repo tomorrow, I plan to (unless Disney announces some ungodly premium for the repo) move my 2008 dummy date to the repo. I will wait to hear from all of you to see what your plans are, and if we want to do the repo, and feel good about it, then I would cancel December 8th 2007, and the repo would become our 2007 AND 2008 cruises combined. We would put off our next plans then until Jan/Feb 2009.

What does everyone think?

Who would be with us?

John1
