That is wonderful Brack. Our money is just too tied up. One day we will join. I am not looking forward to going back to work on Wed. but I am ready for my check so we can keep our heads out of the water.

We didn't join until now (I turn 55yo next month). Our only child is 34yo this year so it is never too late.

I know that we couldn't have done this when our DS was younger either. If it is a real goal then work at the plan.

When it makes too much sense then it will be time.

Do you remember me telling you about a year ago that the Treasurer of the PTO from the school where I teach was stealing the money...front page news on our local paper tonight:

FRACKVILLE's FORMER PTO TREASURER GETS JAIL TIME

HOORAY!!!!!!!!

I am even going to type the story.

DD wants to do TBall - I have until this Saturday to decide. 15 games - twice a week for the school year. She turns 7 in March and this would be her first experience in a team sport. I'm thinking its quite a commitment and I'm trying to explain to her that she HAS to go because the team expects it. She can't say "I don't feel like going today" Her reply "Well, I've very good at T-Ball - well is it on the tee or will they pitch it? I'm great at hitting" Oy. Any thoughts/advice?

From their website:
Practices start the middle of April. Games start April 22. Teams play 2 games each week, one week night game and one Saturday game.

Weekday game nights and Saturday game times are varied. Teams will play 15 games and will be done by the end of the school year.

LEAGUES
Players are assigned to a level of play according to their age.
5 year-olds play T-Ball I. Players hit off a tee the entire year. Players bat every inning and play every inning in the field.
6 Year-olds play T-Ball II. Players hit off a tee for the first half of the year. During the second half of the year the coach's pitch to the players. Players are given three swings and then the ball is placed on the tee, for the player to hit. No one is allowed to strike out. Players bat every inning and play every inning in the field.
7 Year-olds play Instructional Baseball. Coaches pitch, 3 outs per inning, 10 players in the field.

Carla, I wont let the kids sign up for anything during school that has night games. They practiced one night a week with soccer 5-6 and they had a game on Saturday 10-11. IMO that is enough of a commitment for a 6 yo....even for DS8. My kids need to be in bed by 8 pm at the latest or they are bears to get out of bed the next morning for school. I will allow DS to read a bit after that but he is winding down...not active running around at a game. I wont even let him join scouts because the meetings are until 7:30. That is just how I handle it. I depends on your child...their regular sleep habits.

Great News ... at least for me! I am not pregnant!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

The last week or so has been the scariest false alarm I have ever had. I just feel such a big weight lifted off my shoulders. I hope tonight I can really relax and maybe even get some good sleep. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. :)

LOL! You never think that you will enjoy something that much eh? ;) Have a great night's sleep! :goodvibes

Me too...Actually why don't you come vacation with us...

You have better pics of us than we have....

I'm loving the group snapfish site and the ability to supplement our shots with others.

I'm glad that it is working out that way. :) I know that I have lots of pictures of other DISers on there. We ended up in someone picture in 2005 and didn't know it until months later when they posted it. :lmao:

Here is the story. No I am not mean spirited with my Hooray because she got jail time but I was so afraid they would do nothing...anyway...the story.

Jennie Wishnefsky's theft of more than $7,000 from the Frackville Parent Teacher Organization cost its president much trouble, school students missed opportunities, her family much heartache-and her freedom.
A weeping Wishnefsky,38, of Frackville, received an 11.5 - 23 month prison term Friday from Schuylkill County Judge Charles M. Miller, who also placed the former PTO treasurer on probation for 10 additional years.
"It does warrant time in prison," Miller said of Wishnefsky's conduct, which witnesses said nearly destroyed the Frackville PTO and hurt students at Frackville Area Elementary Center.
"I am truly sorry for everything I have done," Wishnefsky, who pleaded guilty Nov. 21 to six counts of forgery, five of theft and one each of identity theft, bad checks and misrepresenting an amount paid to charity, told Miller, "It hurts everytime I look in my son's eyes."

more coming....

continuing....

In imposing hsi sentence, which also included costs, $1,000 in fines and more than $8,000 in total restitution to the PTO, former PTO president Tina L. Dixon and the state bureau of Forensic Services, Miller accepted the recommendation of First Assistant District Attorney Karen Noon, except he imposed 10 years of probation instead of 12.
"There were sevon felonies here," Noon said, referring to the one identity theft and six forgery charges. "It was over and over and over and over again."
She also reminded Miller that Wishnefsky had been placed on probation in 2002 in New Jersey for a theft conviction.
"She should never even have considered this,"Noon said.
Miller ordered Wishnefsky to report to Schuylkill County Prison at 10A.M. Jan 19.
Miller rejected the request of Frederick J. Fanelli Jr.,Pottsville, Wishnefsky's attorney, who had asked that his client be placed under house arrest and be required to get a job in order to pay the restitution, which consists of $4,691.31 to the PTO, $3,058.76 to Dixon or the Mercantile Adjustment Bureau and $700 to the Bureau of Forensic Services.

there is more....

Well thankfully Brandi the cow is still in the freezer where I hope it stays for a little while longer. ;)

Since I am suddenly feeling so much more confident in being able to get back to WDW later this year I went ahead and signed up for TGM. There sure is a whole lot of info to dig through. Should be a fun way to spend some time these next few months.... :)

Actually word is spreading quick that I know a lot about WDW at work. It used to be known in just the department I work in but it is now spreading. In fact someone in another department I helped for a trip last month gave my name to someone else in the company. They came looking for me yesterday morning and I so thrilled to be able to try to point someone in the right direction and give them some quick tips. It was funny because after she left my co-worker in the next cubicle yells over at me that I missed my calling... :rotfl: I told her I didn't miss my calling but I just had not figured out a way to make my calling pay the bills..... ;)

Fanelli also said Wishnefsky has signed a consent deree with the state Bureau of Charitable Organizations agreeing never to be involved in a charitable organization again, which he said means the court should nto worry about recidivism.
"We're not talking about a violent criminal," he said. "She is genuinely remorseful and she needs to make amends."
What Wishnefsky must make amends for is her taking money from the PTO between Nov. 17,2004 and June 13, 2005 as charged by Frackville police.
"She embezzled PTO funds and started credit cards in the individual's name, and wrote checks out and used PTO funds for her personal use," Frackville police Chief John M. Morgan said after the hearing.
That individual was Dixon, who served as PTO president while Wishnefsky was treasurer. In the statment she read to the court, she worried mostly about the impact on the organization and community, even thought Miller said Wishnefsky had done "a terrible thing" to her.

LOL, Becka! :) Who knows. Maybe you can plan trips at work for Disney Dollars. ;)

Me either because if I could I would retire today and be in Florida tomorrow!

I also signed up for TGM. Just to have something else to read!

What's TGM?

(and i guess by your good news today that that's why you didn't answer my question in chat last night.)

TGM - Tour Guide Mike
Lots of info on the Theme Park and Attraction Board on his site. So far it looks interesting. :)

What question? I was not trying to ignore you but I may have been multi-tasking and chatting at the same time. (I don't recommend it :sad2: ;) ).

When my DH stresses over a game (IE the EAGLES are losing) he starts to clean or something of that nature. He is currently baking muffins while watching the game and stressing out....it is so funny!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
