So now DH and DDs will be taking the 5:35 flight, arriving at 8. I am sitting in the hotel now since I would have gotten to the airport by 4... I am going to find a store to go to as I have some kind of bag I need to buy...need to fit the shoes. DH still needs a bathingsuit, so good thing ROnJon's is will be open when they get here.

Luckily the shuttle wasn't rescheduled for today!! COuld you imagine if I had to travel from the airport to here at 8 pm?? It would have taken all night.

well we are here. everyone overslept except me - I didn't sleep at all!I am waiting for DD to crash. The weather is cool. Let's put it this way - we did not pull off our jackets when we got into the jetway. It's I think low 60/high 50s. DD is not pleased that she can't swim.

We are still here. Almost done packing. DD just got home from school. DH went out & got a new pair of tennis shoes. DS should be home in about an hour. I hope everyone is making good time.

I got here from Macon, GA In a bit less than 5 hours.

hey todd. I just saw that happylawyer is leaving on sunday. maybe you should hang around the terminal an extra day and see her off.

Yeah - plan was to cancel so would not lose $, then yesterday to book again if possible.

I was talking to Kristina telling her DH's woes so I know they made it fine. Hope there wasn't anyone with troubles...

I am going to get all this last minute stuff done. I have to leave in about an hour and a half to pick up the family at the airport...

We'll be taking the 9:30 shuttle from here. I was going to try to get there even earlier by having DH drop me off, but I am so over thinking about an upgrade. THee is another family signed up for this shuttle going on our cruise. Didn't recognize the name though.

I know I won't be able to sleep tonight, so I am sure I can get to 67,000...just later.

This hotel is beautiful!! I love it! I can see the ship from right down the hall.!!

I read a cruise report some time ago that the ship left the harbor and stayed put until the launch. But this launch is for 9 PM - don't think it could wait that long.

I don't know if I will have the chance to truely "catch up" so I will tell basically no one what happened. DH left a little later than I had planned them on, but he said they got to the airport by 1:15 - 1:30. THe flight was at 2:30. He said the security line was crazy long!! He waited for what seemed forever, then they took him to a line that was closer to the terminal. WHen they finally got up there, he could hear their names being called for the flight. SHoes off, yadda, yadda, yadda, then they opened his carry on and guess what DH decided to bring?? Juice boxes for the kids!! THe lady said she had to go through the whole bag more thoroughly, they ran the 20 or so feet to the plane, and was 2:31 and it had justshut the doors. HE MISSED IT!!!!

Oh NO! How did he justify that one. It's amazing what they come up with isn't it.

Our contingency plans are to head to Florida Dec. 20 for DH family reunion at Boardwalk. They better be finished with all their bills by about then - or I could safely slip away


So the last part of the vacation still may be reality.

I hope it works out!

We will get to sail with you on the Repo next August. As DH said at dinner this evening - no way are we going to miss that cruise Missing one is one too many.

I don't like not having a car but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. DH and DD went walking over to the arcade place and played air hockey. She eyeballed the go-carts but she has 10 years before that becomes a reality. The car service was great and we did the stop so DH could pick up water. I guess kidney stones put the fear of everything into you because he asked if we wanted to buy more to be please get more because he would not be able to share what he is bringing since he counted it out. Poor thing.
