I was able to remove my Boo's

We are in a little town called Lake Alfred, just 25 minutes SW of WDW, near Lakeland and Winter Haven. I hope to start working at WDW in January. I hate retirement. We are 46 and it's just too young; we've been retired for 3 moths and it feels like 30 years.

We've had the house for 1.5 years and have spent much summertime here. See, we have an older farmhouse in DE and it doesn't have AC. Dh wanted to keep it as original as possible :confused3

We figure we'll be more comfortable here in the summer with AC than we were there in the summer with no AC. It's all perspective and what you're used to, I guess.

This is our first cruise and I am excited; Dh is apprehensive. It's sort of a marker between the old stressed life and the new less stressed doing-what-we-love life.

I had the Rasul booked for us, but he said he wouldn't pay $83 to get muddy when he could just take me to a local mud bog and throw me off the back of a pickup truck for free. He's a peach. :-) So i cancelled.

We have Palo for 6:30 Wednesday and he is parasailing at CC at 10:30 on Sunday. Other than that, we are relaxing on the ship.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, now I really have to leave. I couldn't get out earlier because DH wanted to talk "door" talk for the addition. I keep mentioning packing and he said he could get to it by Wednesday. Ummmm, dear? I am leaving tomorrow and am taking the luggage with me! I am NOT going to leave him til the last minute to pack and bring it himself. :sad2:

hmmm never gave my DD a goodie bag or basket... Perhaps i must get a bad parent award... DD has always considered it gift enough to go on the boat with us.

Although DD usually gets a new sweatshirt for our trips in the winter. She's asked about one for this trip...(Shhhh i got her a TINk one) but with as tight as our budget is right now she's going to have to wait until x-mas to get it. (She does have plenty to take now though)
No goodie bags for us either. DD is getting a birthday present on the first day out just because it seems appropriate. The cruise is Christmas for all of us so Christmas at home will be a light one this year.

:lmao: Kevin is parasailing at 10:30 as well. He will probably check in here some time this week. Noone is in Palo on Wednesday since we have plans to take over the dining room in our pirate garb along with our leader CJS. pirate: :rotfl2:

Funny story... my DD25 got married last year at Paradise Beach over near Indialantic (near Melbourne FL) and it was a PIRATE theme. Outdoor wedding. Pirate music, pirates dancing. My younger DD (wench of honor) met the grooms pirate buddy and married him earlier this year, so pirates kidnapping... you get the drift.

I made DH a pair of knickers and lets just say that mens knickers have very little support in the... um... fly area. I thought he was gonna hold the bouquet in front of himself all day because he was quite aware of the lack of support. Besides, it was Labot Day weekend and hotter than all get out, so the knickers were a thin fabric anyway.....

I couldn't get him back in those without putting him in a drug induced coma. :stir:

The best we'll do is a Tommy Bahama shirt and shorts for him. Me? I dunno.

The suitcases are zipped up. I think they are ready! ???? ACK!!! I'm off to pick up lunch and visit with Kathryn to get the scoop on the school. See you guys later!

I shipped my box for the school children this morning (finally!). Fedex ground 3 day - $11.
Of course I got home to realize 4 books were missing. :sad2:
I had things for us to put in a second box but I'm too stressed with work things I'll just have to put it in our bags when I get around to packing.

Speaking of pirate costumes...... In cleaning my closets last week, i came across a women's pirate costume i wore for halloween many moons ago....

It has a red shirt with attached black/white striped sleeves (jagged edges),
vertically black/white striped skirt (again jagged edge), leather stay type belt for the blouse, and matching red bandana. I also have red stockings to go with. (although black fishnets would be neet too.) It could probably fit someone from a size 12 up to a 16 or so. (the belt and drawstring neckline makes it pretty adjustable.)

I washed it yesterday so freshly laundered and can pack it if anyone wants to use it.

Just send me a PM if you're interested.....

My DD will be 25 when i'm 46 too..... Just hearing that almost makes me feel older already. (She's only 13 right now)

I wish we could retire that early... With the cost of living in MD...I'll be working at least for the next 30 yrs for our mortgage.

OMG in Pirate Garb. :lmao: :lmao: DH will have his mouth permanently open this trip

OMG! I'll be way older than 46 when DD is 25. Now I feel way way old.
It must be time to find a good red hat.

:wave2: Everyone!

I was reading the 11/25 sickness thread and boy does it have me freaked out. My own personal hell would be to have all of us with Noro on the cruise. :faint: I can't even begin to imagine how terrible that would be.

Oh, and on retiring, I don't get to. I'm going to work till I'm dead.

Actually I will amend that ... having Noro while traveling would be the worst thing. The cruise would be a very close second but at least there you have a bed and a bathroom although with my kids ages the bathroom would not matter very much.

I took 30 diapers out of the bags....I wonder if I should add them back in. :confused3
