I want to keep you all in the loop but hope that it is not too drepressing for you... MIL is going downhill fast. I have just called the priest and he is going to the hospital. The Surgeon said that any type of surgery is out and that once all the medication is stopped and the vent is out it should only be a matter of minutes. I hope this doesn't sound mean, but it is really is for the best, her quality of life recently has not been good, I just wish she didn't have to suffer, that is the hardest part.

I asked John if I should start unpacking and he said to keep packing...so we will see what happens.

Amy - I don't quite know what to say. I am so sorry to hear this latest update. Please let John know that he and your entire family is in our prayers. Please let us know if there is anything Aaron and I can do.

John called and things do not look good. MIL had to have blood transfusion and the surgeon said the next 24 hours will be critical. He also said if it was his mother and there were any out of state relatives that would want to be near he would call them.

With all the other stress that John has been dealing with this has to be difficult. Our prayers are with all of you.

I feel kind of wierd now posting just regular fun trip stuff.

I think I have finished 99% of the packing. I have just a few odds and ends items left to pack over the next few days. Door signs (once I get them printed), hairbrushes, kids blankets/stuffed animals, etc.. It looks like the final damage is:

1 large suitcase (clothes)
1 large duffel (clothes)
1 medium duffel (diapers/wipes)
1 small suitcase (miscellaneous - nightlights, Neat sheet, school supplies, etc.)
1 small suitcase (DIS Geek stuff)
1 garmet bag
1 toiletry bag
1 carry on

Amy, I keep checking to see if you have posted any updates. You are very good friends and we care about you all. I wish that we lived closer so that we could watch Sophia so you could be with John at the hospital. DH & I are here for you if there is anything at all that we can do. We aren't telling the kids anything yet.

Well, I was taking a break from packing so that I can go in & be able to see what is missing without being burned out.

3 big suitcases clothes - DS & DD, Me, DH
sm suitcase shoes kids & me
suitcase candy for CMs, us, sand toys for CC
big rolling duffle with gift bags, DD's princess dresses
small duffle school supplies
small suitcase snorkling stuff, beach bag, pirate hats
2 beach bags packed light to carry on
big Target bag Christmas stockings to carry on

I still need to pack the garment bag & the toiletries along with curlers, hair dryer, etc. I think that will take care of everything for us.
