After the hockey game tonight I caught the tail end of John Stossles (sp?) 20/20 report. It was basically saying that giving is good for you. I really do believe that. When you give to others truely give....it makes you feel so happy and good inside. Giving is a selfish act...if that makes any sense. Watching the end of his report made me think of that girl, then when I read Kim's santa question I decided to post it.

You saw the nice part of the show. The first half was him asking rich people why they are so cheap. One lady's response was :rotfl: !

So...guess who calls my house at 11:54PM. Yes - 11:54PM. No - not 11:54 AM, 11:54 PM......that wacko teacher that I've complained about before...

....I'll break this into numerous posts to help hit our 70K goal.

OMG! Without hearing another word I would be at the school this morning filing a complaint!!! That is obnoxious!!!! :furious:

Good morning everyone!
The kitten is attacking the tree and capturing ornaments to hide. Don't bother hanging them higher, he's just climbing the tree.

Are the lights hooked up, and plugged in? Here kitty kitty kitty... :rolleyes1

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

So now your DS is going to be tired in her class today because of her stupidity??? How is she able to handle being in school ready to teach your child when she is up calling parents at midnight??!?!?!? :furious: Sounds like she needs a DDD whooping!!! What time are we marching to the school?

BuzzBoyMom said:
Thank you for verifying my reality ....wasn't that a bit odd?!!!
:furious:

No, not odd. It was rude, inconsiderate, moronic, assinine......shall I go on? :furious:

Who is this wonder a first year student. Our rule growing up was never call anyones house after 9P. Almost midnight she called. I am so glad to hear you are calling the school tomorrow. That is in deed bizarre.

If you owe a company a million dollars they cannot legally call you after 9 pm to collect it.

Ahhh - so that is why he was rushed home to Australia when they were at WDW. The guy Sam was pretty good though.

That is sad. :( I hope that they are able to treat him so he can live well. I saw that on the news last night.

I wonder how old he is. My son really isn't a Wiggles fan, but I (looking through my music teacher eyes) find them to be a good show for the preschool set.

Greg Page, 34, said in a statement that the disorder orthostatic intolerance, which causes dizziness, fatigue and nausea, had left him debilitated.

He said it was not life-threatening but "it means I'll no longer be able to sing and dance as I want to".

Foursome The Wiggles are among Australia's highest earners and their TV show is broadcast around the world.

"I'll miss being part of The Wiggles very much, but this is the right decision because it will allow me to focus on managing my health," Page, who plays the yellow Wiggle, added.

The condition is related to blood pressure and has affected Page's balance, breathing and co-ordination at unpredictable times and with varying severity, according to a statement on the band's website.

Page withdrew from the group's US tour in June after suffering from fainting spells and lethargy. He also underwent a double hernia operation last December.

WOW! He is so young! :guilty:

there must be all kinds of cancellations, my mom called while I was calling, (I guess she didn't want us with her) and got me a room and it was cheaper...hers was $144.64 for 2 nights, mine was $178.54...I kept mine and don't want to call about the rate but I thought that was odd. The hold times were pretty long as well so I wonder what is going on....?

I have been slipping I know. I feel guilty!!! I just wish I could get that darn research paper done. I stopped working on it tonight. I was just getting too tired to think about music and Christmas!

Yet here you were DISing at 1:30 am? :rotfl:

I saw that Karen already answered this...I am still in catch-up mode. I have to laugh to myself everytime you call me Kliney. When we were in HS my Dh's friends called him Kliney. I always say that I can tell what era the person on the phone is from by what they call him!!!! When I see Kliney...I picture young Jason...not me. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My last name is Kline. I chose that user name for lots of stuff after I was married...because I am Kliney's Queen!!! geeky...I know!!!!

It's that way all over. Yikes. All of our teachers are aliens!!!! DGS is having problems now and he was an A- student. They have gone wacko I tell ya. They were all prepared for a written English final, when the teacher telss them that they won't have to do a written final. They have to memorize 15 lines from a Shakespeare play and design costumes and backdrops, then do act that part of the play in front of the class. Wow. That's very valuable. I am sure that he will need to know how to do that when he is in Pharmacy School. A whole term of English boiled down to that! He didn't take the Shakespeare class because he didn't want to do that. There is an English class that deals with JUST Shakespeare. (AND WHAT'S with that?) I studied Shakespearre all four years of High School, and though I appreciate it more now, It wasn't worth a hill of beans to my life's work and interests.

I did not enjoy reading Shakespearre the summer before AP English, however our teacher made it funny. :rotfl2: I wouldn't have enjoyed that for a final though. :sad2:

She claims...and tells me every chance she gets....that she's been teaching for 18 years. 18 years and you don't know how to prepare your students or when to call parents?!!

Senility has set in! :teeth:

Yes. Its like the real work and studying aren't supposed to matter. I honestly think this teacher thinks I'm a PIHA b/c I want to work my child each night on his school work. I like to keep a pulse on his life and academics. So if I see that they are doing something in class the next day, I help him understand how to prepare for the next day. I think it is part of life's lessons....be prepared!

IMAGINE!!!!! Most teachers are concerned about parents who don't get involved in their kid's schooling! :sad2:

OK, DISers...I need help. (no comments, John)

We have about a week until we leave and WE (DW and I) have nothing done....NOTHING.

Bags are not packed....or even started.....We have no real list of what we need to do....Work is backing up (mine and hers).....Bandanas are not ironed....house is still in disorder....and, she is stressing more over the stupid pirate costume than over us having a well prepared week...If I have to take over the packing and organizing, we will be in VERY serious trouble.

I am asking everyone to do us a favor...INTERVENTION! Gentle reminders to BOTH of us to get to work, get packed, etc etc...

She is lurking right now as I type this, even after I asked her to get back to work. She runs out the door in the morning to get to work and then shows up on DIS right away...she stays later (to finish stuff up) but then has to run home and DIS... :sad2: Then she tells me we don't have enough time. :confused3

I'm just as guilty...I need to get to work too...But knowing that she is lurking, just to stay caught up, makes me hang around here too...not good!

We are not going to be ready to go and we'll both be stressed and screaming at each other for this last week and the following week....Please help....I KNOW you all understand.
