I just got word back from Lamar my crusin' friend. He said he hasn't has a problem with bugs. When he does he goes with Skin So Soft.

Yeah, like i said, I am trying to figure all of the shutter speed, etc stuff. Our camera isn't top of the line (not an XTI ) but its good enough for the casual photographer...Canon Powershot A95...

I think a small "class" would be neat...just as long as its not aimed at you professionals out there...

No pro here! Enthusiast might be a better word.

OK, DISers...I need help. (no comments, John)

We have about a week until we leave and WE (DW and I) have nothing done....NOTHING.

Bags are not packed....or even started.....We have no real list of what we need to do....Work is backing up (mine and hers).....Bandanas are not ironed....house is still in disorder....and, she is stressing more over the stupid pirate costume than over us having a well prepared week...If I have to take over the packing and organizing, we will be in VERY serious trouble.

I am asking everyone to do us a favor...INTERVENTION! Gentle reminders to BOTH of us to get to work, get packed, etc etc...

She is lurking right now as I type this, even after I asked her to get back to work. She runs out the door in the morning to get to work and then shows up on DIS right away...she stays later (to finish stuff up) but then has to run home and DIS... Then she tells me we don't have enough time.

I'm just as guilty...I need to get to work too...But knowing that she is lurking, just to stay caught up, makes me hang around here too...not good!

We are not going to be ready to go and we'll both be stressed and screaming at each other for this last week and the following week....Please help....I KNOW you all understand.

Yes it is Caroline. I think I am up to 7-8 potential stalkers for Karen and Marielle. Since I still need time to work on the spreadsheet all stalker volunteers will need to submit their names, preferred stalkee (we could use some more Marielle volunteers) and preferred hours.

Angie, that is just crazy! Sarah had to "dress up" as someone last year and I think they are nuts! Maybe someone doesn't have the time or money or resources to do that kind of thing. And scenery?? It is a public school right?? I hate to see so much waste on 'creative' things anymore that end up in the trash afterwards. I mean, creativity is great and all, but how many sheets of posterboard need to be wasted for a 2 minute presentation? KWIM?

Schools should really cut out all the crafty stuff because some of us parents have a severe dislike for that kind of stuff. Quit trying to ban Harry Potter because of witchcraft....that is not the kind of craft they should be worried about. Crafts that involve glue, scissors, glitter, etc.. that is where the real danger lies.

OK - know how I've told you guys I'm not real keen on my TA??? I just called to fine out where our freakin docs are - she says:
They came in over the weekend - you can pick them up anytime.
So I say:
WHAT??? YOU MEAN THEY'VE BEEN IN YOUR OFFICE FOR 4 DAYS AND YOU HAVEN'T CALLED ME??????? DO YOU NOT REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE DOCS AND THE PAIN AND SUFFERING I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING????

OK - maybe I didn't really SAY that, but I sure did THINK it!!!

So looks like I'll be sailing after all!!

Now - back to catching up...I WILL get finished packing TODAY (at least the clothes)!!!! That is my goal!!!

Yes Becka, hope you all stay safe on the way home. Is there a chance you will be snowed in tomorrow?

There is a chance although since it is another payroll day I will still be working and it would probably be easier to work in the office than from home. We will have to see.

The daycare will be closed more than likely so DH will have to stay home with the kids. At least I won't have to worry about dragging them out into this weather.
