It IS harder to carry around than just a compact camera, and can be harder depending on the lens. We have two cameras . . . a Canon Digital Elph for convenience and portability, and the Rebel XT when I don't mind lugging the bigger camera for better quality and flexibility.

I do lug the XT around WDW all day with me though. I have a Lowepro case that is just big enough for the camera and lens, and strap it over my shoulder. I get by OK.

Oh man! I did that when we went to see Lion King. I was only a half hour off though and we were getting there "in plenty of time", so we just missed the opening, which I HEARD was amazing!!

Well that really sucks!

I'm not DrHug, but I know what he tells me to take. I take meclizine each morning. It lasts 24 hours and by taking it when I first get up it cuts down on the drowziness (which it is not supposed to cause - BUT...). Kids cannot take this though. He also recommends ginger, which is what we will give Aaron for at least a day or so just to be sure.

Is it over the counter?

DH wants to know about pin trading on this cruise. I PM'd Brack because I know he is a pin trader but what about the rest of you? DH is trying to decide which pins to bring on the cruise with him because I won't let him pack his BIG book - gotta save space somehow!

I just bring pins that I will let the girls trade. They had fun. You can trade with amy of the CMs with pins. I didn't see any private trading going on, but I am sure we can schedule a group trade one day.

I have the new Model 0 Brownie Camera Model A, by Kodak. Small and easy to carry. It takes film though. I am trying to get the sensor out of my 10D so I can convert the Kodak into digital. Yeah, That's the ticket!

Nope, checkbook is mine. It is very cool now with the online banking that I can just look at the balance each day and see what has cleared and never have balance my account! No more math mistakes for me!

DH bought the XT, or maybe the XTi, I really don't know which... but he also bought 2 stabalizer lenses and some special battery pack things and so many other things for the camera that the camera bag now weighs a LOT! I'm not looking forward to seeing him lug that thing around everywhere.

Oh, Angie can lug the camera for him. She'll have room now because of the backpack.

I have heard that too. My doctor has told me the kids can't take any medicine for seasickness so I hope they don't get sick. I did find some natural oil stuff at Wal-Mart that you are supposed to put a drop behind the ear for help with seasickness and if the kids get sick I will probably give it a try.

Has anyone else with little kids ever been given anything?

In case you missed it, I don't have much to pack!! I have to go buy stuff FIRST!

I had convinced myself that I would not have to buy much because after all we just went on the 4 night back in February! You all know how that is turning out! I will probably make at least 2 more Wal-Mart trips for cruise stuff before we leave.

Is it over the counter?

Yes, or you can get it FREE on the ship at either guest services or down at the health center they have a box of them outside the door. Just help yourself. We bought a bottle of 100 Meclizine last year because it was less than buying a small packet of Bonine. The bottle of 100 is available from the pharmacist-just ask-you won't find it on the shelf (at least not here in Orygun). Or better yet, just get it FREE on the ship and don't worry about packing it.
