It IS harder to carry around than just a compact camera, and can be harder depending on the lens. We have two cameras . . . a Canon Digital Elph for convenience and portability, and the Rebel XT when I don't mind lugging the bigger camera for better quality and flexibility.
I do lug the XT around WDW all day with me though. I have a Lowepro case that is just big enough for the camera and lens, and strap it over my shoulder. I get by OK.

I am bringing my old Speed Graphic. Angie can lug it around for me.

Oh man! I did that when we went to see Lion King. I was only a half hour off though and we were getting there "in plenty of time", so we just missed the opening, which I HEARD was amazing!!

I take meclizine each morning. It lasts 24 hours and by taking it when I first get up it cuts down on the drowziness (which it is not supposed to cause - BUT...). Kids cannot take this though. He also recommends ginger, which is what we will give Aaron for at least a day or so just to be sure.
