OMG! I'm afraid.I'm lucky if I ever get to put the folded clothes sitting in the hamper away never mind hang them up.

A kindred spirit.... :goodvibes

How do you guys get out of dinner so early? We have eaten at 6 & 6:15 and are not out until 8 at the earliest. Not complaining though because we have enjoyed the company. :wave2:

Well we had the 5:30 seating before and we were always out before 7:00. It was just our family of 4 by ourselves and the kids were not interested in long meals. :confused3

Marielle, you could ship it to us. We will see PJ on 12/6 and can give it to her then. We are driving so no problem fitting it somewhere.

Amy is bringing her extra for me to borrow.

To think....back then you didn't care for the way we posted. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

It was not the way you posted it was just the sheer volume of stuff that you posted. I knew I would never be able to keep up unless I dedicated hours upon hours to this thread. I didn't think I had that kind of time.... :rolleyes1 As it turns out I just got sucked in and I became one of you!

Now we have a travel and homemade tree. We buy ornaments when ever we travel (which is rather often) and they are all on our tree. We always say that after we are married long enough we will have an entire tree of travel ornaments!

We do this too . . .

We have travel, Hallmark, and homemade all on our tree. It is a BIG artificial tree (9ft). Our ceiling in our family room goes all the way up - we could fit a 20 foot tree in here if we were crazy.

So I should make a shirt that says "I'm from Georgia" on the back, visible to anyone who may be seeing me pick up coins? :confused3 :rotfl:

I think a bumper sticker might be more effective!

DS's clothes are on white hangers. DD's are on silver hangers. DH & my clothes are on assorted colors but they don't have the extra connection on the ends that the kid's hangers do. :rolleyes1 DS's shirts are hung up by color after being grouped by sleeve length and if they are tshirts or button down or fleece. :rolleyes1

Maybe it's just me but can anyone else hear Faye Dunaway in this, "NO WIRE HANGERS"

(Just Kidding Lisa. My clothes are lucky to make it out of the basement after they're washed. Some days we have to go all the way down there in a towel just to get stuff.)

OK! I think that I can handle talking about the rest of my day now. Not sure though...so if I disappear give me an hour or so to recover.

No wire hangers here! :) I like the thick plastic ones. :thumbsup2

So...around 1 I walked thru the living room & noticed that the tree was listing to one side. I tested the twine holding it to one wall and noticed the slack. I tried to tighten it. DH came by and we discussed the listing of the tree. I suggested taking the ornaments off, adjusting the tree, then having the kids redecorate it.

Not PA Dutch from what I know, may be New England...not the same thing. :confused3
nah, we don't call them gobs or whatever it said - I just read it was called that by PA Dutch

DH got more twine & hammered in a couple more nails or maybe that is the point where he used those hooks that screw into the chair rail. Now the tree has been moved around a bit more & it leaning more to the back & right facing side (away from the left wall & towards the back wall). I decided to assess the situation.

Thank goodness! When we remodeled we moved the washer /dryer from the basement to the first floor. Now you only have to come down one flight searching....

::yes:: And in my defense I was RIGHT! It is a full-time job to keep up with everyone here! :rolleyes1

I wiggled under the tree & while DH held onto the top I adjusted the bolts screwed into the base. The tree trunk wasn't sitting on the center peg on the bottom so I loosened them all & DH moved the trunk. The back bolt was bending when it met the trunk...explaining the tree leaning in that direction.
