We talked to MIL this afternoon and her proceedure is at 5 pm tomorrow, not am. They are using the lasers to give her intense radiation to kill the tumor that has shut off her kidney. It isn't as dangerous as if they were doing lasers to cut the tumor from her spine but it could still mess up & damage her kidney even more.

:grouphug: How is DH handling it all?

I think the board tracker is broke. It hasn't changed in at least a week! :lmao:

What am I doing up?! Wrapping presents. I'm nuts. I should be in bed but I thought I would come here instead and catch up since Friday.

That last scene made me ill! :furious: Why not just call the cops & lock up that SOB? :furious: :furious: :furious:
What an evening to watch a show I have only watched once and that was last year. Holy smokes! Exactly why didn't she call the police. That was crazy!

We have always worn shorts or swim suits with cover ups on the cruises. The one time we wore jeans was to go to the movies one night. The weather has been beautiful!!!

ok I guess I have to re-think my packing a little then. I was packing several pairs of pants. By evening, the kids don't want to be in pants? I hate air-
conditioning and always feel cold then.

Does that make them taste different?

I don't actually eat them myself...

I like to steam vegtables in the microwave too. This way we can eat fresh vegetables and they are ready quickly and you don't lose as much nutrients as boiling. I put in a little bit of water and cover with plastic wrap leaving a small vent. The steam is very hot when you remove them so be careful.
I do this with green beans, sugar snap peas, asparagus, broccoli. It allows the vegetables to be crisp and not soggy.

I think it works the least well with asparagus because I like my asparagus to be perfect. and if you miss the timing the asparagus can get droopy.

we spent the weekend in exciting Worcester, Ma. Hello Carla!!!

Are you on the west side of Boston? I didn't think you would be able to sneak in a meet though, but we did wave.

I am spoiling my kids this Christmas. My DS wants 5 different engines (for Thomas). I already have 4 of them. I got one at AC moore for 50 percent off of one item. The other 3 I won on ebay. Now I am bidding on Spencer.

Brandi - I'm not sure if you have Michaels craft store or not - but they carry Thomas and have 40% off coupons for one item. I bought several of the larger train set pieces this way. Also, Kmart used to carry Brio which is quite a bit cheaper and some of the track accessory pieces are more interesting. We got a station house where you can record a track announcement in your own voice. Giona always loved that one.

Well that is easy to answer....it was the end of the show. Let's see what she does next week. :thumbsup2

No. DD usually stayed in her dress from dinner. We go out on deck 9 to watch a movie or just walk and sometimes DD wears a sweater if she has a sleeveless dress on because the wind gets a little wild when you are moving along out at sea.

Somehow I managed to wake up before the alarm. DD was sitting up in the bed doing the easy sudoku puzzles in my book. LOL! She thinks that she does such a good job on them. :lmao: I have to get on DS's case about getting ready for school. I have a list of sale things to get from Target then I will probably try to get a little more sleep before starting the day around here. I need to make up a cruise to do list today.

The party at the movies went good today. They didn't have a table for the gifts and cupcakes (manager meant there was a place for a table that I brought...), but I only planned on it taking a few minutes anyway and there was a counter that we used. Four of her friends came, plus some cousins, and a few of her friend's siblings that are friends with Sarah. SC3 was very good. The preview for Happy Feet looks hilarious. The kids had a kid pack with popcorn, drink, and a small candy. They were very good. Heck, it was easier than when I just take my own kids!
That is awesome! I am glad it went well for you and that she had a great BDay party!

Caroline, the two things I got that I never use are the cookie press and the apple peeler/slicer/corer. I know someone said they love the apple peeler, but it just seemed like alot of trouble to get set up to me. I can have my apples for my pies peled and sliced before I can get it set up. I did not get the stand though, so that might be the difference.
I said that I like the apple slicer/corer. It doesn't peel them. It is just a round thingie with 2 handles and you slide it over your apple. There are slices and you pitch the core.

If you put just a touch of water, it will steam them. Bury them in water and they get boiled. ;)
Well now that makes sense!!!! :thumbsup2

We love the parks, but if there is one we can't do it would be MK - not because we don't like it, but because we do DL so often. Animal Kingdom and Epcot are our absolute favorites.
Prior to children Jason and I both LOVED Epcot and the thrill rides of MGM. Now we love Magic Kindom cuz of the kids! MGM is my least favorite with the kids. I love them all for a different reasons...here is our current park plan:

Thurs 12/7 - MVMCP at Magic Kingdom
Fri. 12/8 - Animal Kindom in AM then we want to go to the Disney outlets and spend the evening in Downtown Disney...making sure we get to bed early enough so we can get to the port
Sat - Friday - CRUISE
Sat 12/16 - Epcot after disembarcation - Dinner at Le Cellier
Sun 12/17 - Magic Kingdom - Dinner at Liberty Tree
Mon 12/18 - AM in Animal Kindom (unless we did enough pre crusie then that is up in the air) Dinner at Spoodles and Evening-night at MGM.
Tues 12/19 - Go Home!!!!
