We just watched The Grinch with DD. :) I can't believe it is on so early this year but she enjoyed it & remembered watching it last year. She got such a kick out of telling us what was going to happen next. :rotfl: She has found it on our video shelf so I guess we will be watching alot of it this year.

Would that be the original?! ;)

I've never been to FL but it'll be december so I'm assuming that's not "chocolate melting" weather that time of year. :confused3
 I did not realize that this is your first trip to Florida!! I am suprised. You will have a blast!!! :goodvibes

I'm thinking of bringing candy canes and/or other holiday goodies like that for the stockings. Has anyone else claimed these?
I am taking candy (chocolate) for the kids and pencils for adults.

I have put it off until tomorrow since she called during Amazing Race.

Hope you come back on! :teeth:

If you want another opinion, my favorite Pampered Chef things (and I do not know the official names): pizza stone and rectangular stone, batter bowl, rubber scraper/spoon thing, double griddle pan, ice cream scoop, mandoline.

I love my pampered chef apple corer/slicer! I also love my rubber scrapers. I also have the crimped cheese cutter. I don't know what it is really called. It works really well. I also like their pizza cutter. I have lots of other stuff...but those are my favorites.

If I had children with me on the cruise I would put their names on the door signs. Lisa is right, when you keep up with them they will be as safe as they possibily can be.

Do you put JoJo on them?? If not, you should. :goodvibes

I also love the ice cream scoop!!!!

I got the microwave cooking pot. I never used it. For me that is the only thing I never used.

I'm glad you got some stress free time. My DH & I were the primary caretakers for his younger brother when he had lukemia. He lived with us for 10 months while DD was 2 yo. My DH gave bone marrow twice & we thought he had beat the darn stuff. But he developed emphazema at the ripe age of 24. He smoked after the radiation & chemo treatment because he was stressed out. He was unable to stay with his parents because of "cleanliness" issues. I remember thinking how much I would love to be in my own house with just DH & DD. I loved my brother in law but it was extremely rough coming home with the nurse here giving him his blood transfusion and try to keep a somewhat normal life for DD. She doesn't remember her godfather much but I wrote a letter after he died and she has ready it often and realizes how much he loved her. Life would have been so different for us if he had beaten the lukemia. DD is in the local medical books because she is the only known case of a child developing chicken pox from someone who had shingles.

:grouphug: Life can be so hard, but somehow, we manage the best we can. :grouphug:

I have to write a research paper for my class. I hate the thought of it. I should have started it a while ago. I still do not even have a topic!!! Ugh!

Finally finished lots of online shopping. VISA will probably be calling and thinking my card was stolen with all of the crazy activity! But got DH's side of the family done (we'll exchange at Thanksgiving since that's when we'll see each other). Hope it all arrives in time.

Also ordered the CAMERA (and extra stuff) for ME (and DH)!!!!!

Isn't there something DIS-related that you can do?????? You've certainly done lots of research!

I just placed a bid on a pair of silver shoes for Eliza. I really hope I win them. I just love having her all dressed up!!!! She is my human Barbie!!! I adore having a girl (although I spend way way way too much money on clothing for her.)

They have the silver glittery shoes for little girls at Target quite often... I'll look to see if they have them if you don't win.

DH & I are going away for the night this saturday. I won an overnight stay at a casino during one of my fundraisers this year. we have to use it before 12/31. I hope we can just get away and not worry about anything. my parents said they would keep the kids but dd kind of wants to stay here with her brother. I am a little nervous. we have never left them alone over night. DD is a very heavy sleeper due to her hearing loss. I am nervous that something might happen & she would not hear it and wake up. we have an escape plan put together in case of fire that her brother who sleeps across the hall from her would wake her & they would go out a window with a ladder if they need to or down the stairs if possible. we used to have a bed shaker fire alarm for her but it was recalled because the wireing had caused some fires. go figure. she doesn't wake up with bad storms or the dogs barking. DS also sleeps fairly soundly but I think he would probably stay up longer than DD & then freak himself out over "regular house noises". OW I guess we will have to talk as a family to see what we are going to do but at least we can go just the 2 of us

Why is so much tougher these days? I remember watching my nephews by myself overnight since I was 11 or 12 and they were babies. But I won't let my own 8 year old ride her bike around the block yet? :confused3 Why are we so much more cautious, or paranoid, today? I ask myself this all the time...

I was really starting to feel stressed out this past weekend. I have so much to do before the cruise. I don't know if I will be able to keep my current dis pace.
