I keep forgetting I'm a day behind and I'm reading Elaine and Brandi's early morning posts getting ready to reply and stopping and reminding myself that they are not here now....

Why should that stop you? It doesn't stop the rest of us....hence the thread count.

I finally realized that I need three tabs open to catch up

One = where the last thread page is (I usually read the last 2 pages first)
Two = where I left off
Three = where I left off

When I start reading the earlier pages I start posting and I sometimes forget which page I was posting on so I need two where I left off tabs. I'm sure there is even a more effective way to track and someone will share it with me.

I didn't realize there was a "Fine Art of DISing" until I started following and posting in this thread.

Carla, sweetie! You just need to right click on either the quote or reply in the bottom right corner of the post you want to respond to & "open in new window." You can reply & hit post then close that window & go back to the one you were reading from.

OK, here's your problem. When you are reading thru the thread be sure to save the page you are reading in your favorites / bookmarks. It will say that you already have something saved with this name, would you like to replace it....click on yes & when you open the thread back up in your favorites file you will be right where you left off.

DD is working on cleaning her room. You'd think it was a fate worse than death (of course when I was a kid I felt the same way and my mother would eventually become exasperated with me and clean it for me)

Anyway DD just said "How about if we worked in ****s?" I said shif ts, there is an f in there - S-H-I-F-T-S,okay?

Hi guys. I'll go back and catch up to the 50 or so pages that I'm behind...but in the meantime, I'll give you a recap on my life...


...work stinks....60-70 hour weeks...really killing me lately....
....football banquet last night...lots of fun but 4 and a half hours...come on people!!!

...of course nothing was organized so I jumped in to work the admissions table and then jumped in to help sell and organize the spirit table (sweatshirts and stuff)

...boys are at the "super bowl" and from the looks of my house when I walked in after church...I'd say they had some trouble finding all their stuff.

...why do DH wait till the last minute to get stuff together...they find time for fantasy football...catching up on ESPN, reading the sports section and even making themselves a hearty breakfast....and then trash the house when looking for stuff b/c you're late to a game?

....okay moving on....

...I am so behind in cruise prep stuff...no costumes ready...packing consists of throwing stuff in the guest room to be sorted out later.

....I am finished Christmas shopping for my parents and my kids...kinda/sorta....I'll pick up a few more things. I really need to get stuff for my nieces and nephews before I leave on the cruise otherwise they won't get anything.


....like I said to my best friend at the banquet last night...I haven't taken a deep breathe all day!

OK, I am off to take DS to the doctor's office. We went to urgent care but the pediatrician has office hours 2-5 on Sunday so instead of having us wait 1 1/2 hours to be seen there, they called & made an appointment & sent DS home to rest. Sounds like an URI. Hopefully it will be easy to fix. Later!

Hooray!!! I have finally caught up! That took sooo long!! I have one of those confession things. Because I can see movies on demand at home and I see a lot in hotels and on planes, we have not rented a movie in at least 6 years. I always buy the kid movies, or if it was one I really liked or wanted to see I bought it. (i have a problem with late fees) Anyway, tonight we went to rent a movie we could all see, just for fun and DD was totally confused. She had all these questions about how long we could keep them and what happened if we did not get them back on time. She had no idea a place like this really existed. I am such a bad parent. People were laughing at us in line. We just don't watch a lot of movies that aren't on t.v.

Have you seen "Little Manhattan"? We saw it on a flight to DW last year and I LOVED it! ANyway, I was thinking of it because I just ordered it on DVD from Amazon. Great, nostalgic, puppy love story. Good family movie. They didn't distribute it to many theaters, so we would have missed it if it hadn't been on the airline fare. So, I would recommend it for any who haven't seen it.

well I had to go into work this morning I left around 1:30. I think I got more done there today than all week long.

Watching football and packing oh and DIS'ing. I was on a 5 game win streak....not anymore. I started Rex over Brady...I thought Miami sucked and Rexie would have a day. Oh, my. Hopefully Brady won't score anything I can feel less terrible about my DB choice. Losman hasn't scored either.

Lisa hope everything goes well with DS. I have to say - that one yr pic of Kaitlyn and William is SOOO adorable! And I cannot believe all the jet black hair. She looked just like a baby doll! (still does!)

That is why I don't want a laptop, I don't like the keyboard or the mouse "look-a-like."

It's kinda cool now Caroline. I have the keyboard and a wireless mouse, so it is just like a desktop. Ta Da !

I never thought about what I would do if I leave a week earlier than planned! Maybe I will have DH keep you guys posted while I am computerless.

I have been trying to post from my Treo700p cell phone, but it doesn't work. We can read posts on it though.

AND, we are bring the laptop WITH a keybhoard and wireless mouse. Ta Da !

The gig is up Becka. You are officially crafty! We've seen the pumpkin and the cakes - you've been holding back on us. You aren't anti-crafty you are perfectionist crafty. that's worse - that means your crafty is uber crafty because its perfect!

I know what you mean Becka. If I wasn't such a perfectionist I would be perfect. Flaws taste just as good, and it all goes to the same place.

It is just the two of us this morning? I was hoping to sleep in a little but when DS woke up he asked me to make him some pancakes and since I am such a softie I got up and made them for everyone.

MrsMork woke me with pancakes, eggs, and coffee....in bed. How sweet was that? Blueberry pancakes. So I ate 'em and fell back into a coma.
