Hey bride-to-be!


Did you ever figure out how to get the gown to the ship without crushing it/losing it?

Not yet, but I think that I am going to bring the gown on the plane and ship the big fluffy thing that goes underneath it down the week before, but this will all depend on the fittings and how they fall. I have my next fitting next friday, so I will have to ask them when I will be done.

Can't they just make things like this simple for us destination brides>

Harsh maybe...but....I am a firm believer if following through on what you say. My DH and I have a "no threats policy." If you tell them that X will happen if they do Y than if they do Y...X will most certainly happen! That goes for good and bad. If you pick up your toys we will do a puzzle together. After the toys are picked up...we do a puzzle. If you knock over your sister I will take away 3 trains...then he will lose 3 trains if he knocks her over. Jake is only 3 and he already knows that mom and dad mean business! I'm not saying we don't have our moments...because we do....but he knows there will be a price to pay.

Consistency on the consequences is the key! Be consistent with both the good and the "not so good".

I have another way to look at how close our cruise is approaching. There will be only 5 more groups of passengers on the Magic before it is our turn. That does not seem very far away!

Speaking of things getting lost in the mail,
DH's Uncle got lost in transit to his funeral (he was cremated). They went on without him.

Who on earth thought it would be OK to ship the guy to his own funeral?

Sorry for laughing, but this is so FUNNY! DrHug is notorious for being late and we (family/friends) all joke that he will somehow manage to be late for his funeral! Someone actually WAS! I have to make sure he sees this!

I just got back from TOT'ing...Oh my, the kids were soooo cute. There were some cute costumes. I'll post pictures tonight. We walked far!! I was surprised but maybe it wears them out. Almost all the girls had those pink plastic princess buckets. Several of them split open on the way back!
I wish John would have put his get up on and come too, the kids would have loved it!
Now back to work for me!

Thanks! I am really glad that they are going to school tomorrow morning. I have to go in and talk to the school counselor. It seems that DS is still upset with his Daddy and has been telling fibs...or has been "getting mixed up in his mind" as he says. OY BOY!!! He had no idea what the results of those fibs would be. Thank God she talked to me first since she knows me. When I sat him down to talk to DH about it he suddenly didn't want to talk about it. He ran out of the room because he was embarrassed. He spent the weekend with a tummy ache & head ache...I think from he guilt after I told him what CPS does. He isn't looking forward to going to school tomorrow but knows that I have already emailed the counselor & she is expecting to hear from him. This turned us upside down this weekend.

So, no I really am not in the mood to pretend to be someone else. There are times this week when I wished I was someone else though.

Lisa -- You definitely need this cruise!
