Today on the DCL Magic a strange thing occurred when a man apparently upset that his wife had been hiding a secret life was viciously attacked by an angry horde of fellow vacationers dressed in lime green and using bananas as weapons......

It is amazing. We are supposed to have record highs!!! I am so excited. We might not freeze for Trick or Treating!!!! That will be...well....maybe a first!!!!!

It is really nice here today. We have decided to leave for West Virginia in the morning so we can be here for ToT.

We don't have a designated TOT time. The kids start around dark and keep comming till they are tired. The general rule is to turn your light on if you have candy and turn it out if you don't.

Sometimes the little ones will go out at dusk but usually it all happens after sundown. There is never ever any TOT on a night other than Oct 31 in Atlanta! Even if it is a Sunday!

I found out it is 6-8. My niece is coming over and is going to go out and get candy for me. I was going to pick some up yesterday, but not much was on sale. I was NOT going to buy it full price!

I would at least make her start out doing this (you did make the threat), making her think it will be for the whole night. Cepending on how she acts, you could let her ToT after a bit.

Ok...here would be the situation.

- We tell her she has to stay home and help.
- Whining...
- Explain to her again, WHY she is staying home...
- More whining...maybe some tears.
- Explain to her that crimes have punishment.
- Tears....definite tears.
- Tell her to have a seat and grab some candy and get ready.
- Whining. Whimpering. Kicking. A fit is growing....sirens are going offf all over the county; people are heading for their basements.
- She gets up and tries to go inside...(we sit in the driveway - dogs in house) We get upset and tell her to come back.
- LOUD VOICES!
- Dogs run for cover.
- Doors slammed, whining gets to the point of eardrum damage.
- Dad threatens some more...costume is about to become history.
- More crying and screaming from DD
- Dad is about to reenact scenes from ANY horror movie for the passersby.
- Dad goes inside and the night is over for him....Mom's turn.

Your theory works well if she were to accept the plan...and her punishment in the first place. Chernobyl got nothing on this kid.

ARE YOU NUTS! Like I would ever tell him how to get here? I am able to comment on the posts but he still has no clue the extent of my participation. Please, when I read the comments back I say DH not that his name is actually posted. Remember his mantra "You know I'm not talking to any strangers on this cruise" Yeah honey sure sure whatever you say....

Speaking of things getting lost in the mail,
DH's Uncle got lost in transit to his funeral (he was cremated). They went on without him.

Who on earth thought it would be OK to ship the guy to his own funeral?

I am so furious right now I could just scream

My MIL heard my DH and I talking last night about having our heater guy come back out today b/c it was supposed to be warm...yadda yadda yadda. I stressed to him several times that we needed to leave the front door open.

This AM - with her in the room - I again said to them both - Be sure to leave the front door open for the heater guys.

GUESS WHO LOCKED MY FRONT DOOR?!!!!!

Now I have to take time off work to run out there and let them in...

Breathe...and breathe again...

I'm listening mostly to Trans Siberian Orchestra right now. We go see them in concert this Thursday night in Charleston, WV. It is very good Christmas music. The concert will blow you away! Lots of screaming guitars and pyro .... just what a child of the late '60s loves.

They'll be in Atlantic City right after Christmas.
