EWE!!!! FIL & MIL like to tell everyone about how they would fight over the pig's brain in the eggs some mornings. The first time I heard this was over dinner at DH's house when they were visiting. I guess I passed the gross out test since I kept on eating.

we went to DD's Parent Teacher Conference and COOL THING!!! I found out why her K teacher wanted her to have this teacher. She hates the diebels standardized test and refuses to teach to the test. She says it is more important that the learn to love to read than to read nonsense words quickly. OOOH I like her so much!!!!

Do you know what would be cool? If I could breath through more than one nostril. I hate sinus infections..

At the Halloween party last night we were talking to some friends (their son went to Kindergarten with Sophia) and found out they had been on a Disney cruise. Guess which one? The one where the Magic caught on fire! They were your shipmates.

Another DIS degree for separation.

Of course when we told people we were going on our 7th DCL cruise, we got the blank stares and uncomfortable silence . . . Then we tried to talk about the "friends" we met on the internet - some more blank stares.

Not to self.

Do not discuss multiple DCL cruises or internet friends other than at the DIS boards. Your neighbors think you are locko.

Tonight DD asked when exactly we are going to go to Sophia's house. Just think what they will say when you have some of those internet people show up in the neighborhood.

The community board thinks the mods are messing with us. Do you think Lisa would ever mess with us? I think she is too tired from carnival to even waste the energy.... but I don't know about the others....

Thank you, Kim! I don't have the energy to even think about anything else between carnival, fundraiser delivery Wednesday, and coordinating the cruise events. My brain is turning to mush!

I need to have DS & DD do this with their good clothes for the cruise. I keep putting it off but time is running out.

DrHug and I need to do this too. I reminded him today and he said he will try his suit on the day before we leave. We can then run out at the last minute and buy one if it does not fit. Pathetic.

I need Mary Poppins to come fold my laundry? Any idea how I can reach her?

You just reminded me I need to rotate the laundry. The washer rinsed a bit ago.

Oh my, we had a meltdown at AK today. John and I pretended we didn't know them.

We should make the effort to take pictures during this time as well as the good ones. People would believe us then.

One thing that shocked me (and DD13) at the party tonight. People do NOT know their pirates. Now, I realize that many do not know Captain Feathersword because that's a preschool thing. But at the party there were several Captain Hooks and many Captain jack sparrows, one Davy Jones and a few general pirates. People would just say to any of these kids, "Look, it's a pirate. How cute." I guess we are way too pirate obsessed, but you have to recognize Hook and Captain Jack, right????

Anyone worth their sea salt would!

Me too, still have a dry one in the dryer and a wet one in the washer.

One more story from the Halloween party tonight. We decided to leave while the party was still happening (long day, DD13 was really tired, etc). Had to pull Walt off the dance floor. Got his tears calmed down. Then he said, "But I have to DANCE, Mommy!" Carried him away and he looked back at the dance floor and said, "Please, go back that way!"
So, I'm looking for a volunteer on the cruise who wants to stay on the dance floor all night with a 3-year-old...

Dennis and I had a fun shopping afternoon. We went to a new Kohls that opened about 20 miles away. Found Aaron a black suit ( ). We also got several other items at good pirces on sale, including a packet thing made of spongy stuff that holds 2 wine bottles. We think they will work GREAT for packing wine to ship to the hotel. AND they were regular $20 but were on sale for 7.40! Love a bargain.
