12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2 Part 10

Continuing shopping saga. New post....We then went to the mall and spent some quality time at the Disney Store. We needed to get baby shower gifts for nephew (had the cute boy) and niece (due to have a girl right away). Shower for both is next Sat. Since we have a boy and a girl we got Mickey and Minnie little jammies. Too cute! Then we went to Sears and picked up a pink and a blue Pooh blanket to go with the outfits. We also got their Christmas presents while we were at the Disney Store. Little stuffed "first Christmas" Dumbo and Aristocrat kitty (bad me, I don't know her name!!) and another Minnie and Mickey outfit for each.

I was at Let's Dish this afternoon. Went with a friend and made 7 meals for my family, 7 for a friend who just had twins, and 2 for my friend with the sick baby in hospital. I LOVE that place! The other places I have heard of are:

Dream Dinners
Super Suppers
Mix It Up Meals

None of those around us.

DrHug also had to stop at Shutterbug to drool over the cameras. Brack, he ALMOST bought the Canon 5D. We'll see if he has time to go back before we leave. He will have to work a few extra days to pay for it and that won't leave much shopping time. We did pick up a backpack there that will hold his laptop, his c-pap, and camera gear. I am really happy about that. No more big bag for me to have to "hold a minute please." Now I get to hold a minute please a very comfortable backpack!

Any good Tarheel can not speak or say that word; it is akin to blasphemy. If we must acknowledge them it is usually spelled like this or as Dook. A person from there is called a Dookie (or sometimes worse things but this is a family board).

Alright I am caught up and it only took a little over an hour! What a slow weekend so far.

I keep hearing the word "slow" here, but I have 15 pages to read!

If you have a firewall installed (you should...) it may be blockng it. You have to find a way to tell the program that DING is not a bad thing trying to hurt your computer and it should allow it to connect. We are using Zone Alarm and it blocked it; we added Zone Alarm to the list of safe programs that are allowed but it still gave us a problem. I need to look into it some more but that sounds like the problem.

Thanks Andy. I turned off NIS and then it worked. Of course I turned it back on and so far so good. My only problem is I get the warning popups alot now.

We had a very good weekend retreat in spite of the rain and cold Friday. Then the cold and wind yesterday and today.

Hope JoJo stayed dry. Oh, and you too Brack!

BTW for those of you wondering this weekend has completely thrown off my calculations about the # of posts we will eventually hit. If things continue at this rate we probably will not even hit 60k. In fact this weekend will probably be enough to ensure that we do not hit 70k before the cruise.

It is really beautiful and it was such a good deal on Thursday. It was $34, down from $89.

I need to transfer the pictures from my camera, I don't think I took any of butterfly princess. Not my favorite costume. But dang she was cute as Ariel, she did not even need a wig. We just brushed her hair.
