My goodness the board is quiet this weekend! Becka may have to recompute! ;)

Watch out, Angie! You may have to see the math formula again! Besides, I'm sure Becka's calculations accounted for a potential weekend slowdown... right, Becka?

We should be over 46000 by now, we were under 200 yesterday and today we have less then two pages. eek!

Pj :p

I have had chicken pox three times! I have never had them strong enough to become immune from them. Now we are worried about me getting shingles. Mom had shingle several years ago and I wasn't able to help her with treatment, the doc was worried about me getting it too. And I have been told too old for the chicken pox vaccine and the shingles vaccine is just going through approval now. After the second time at 21, the doctor said the next chance I had to test and see if I was immune by having contact with chicken pox, now I can't take the chance of being around kids with it. If I have kids, my future DH will have be the sick nurse, :rolleyes1 .

Pj

I just saw on the news this morning that the shingles vaccine is approved and the gov't is recommending that everyone over 60 get one.

Brandi, have a great musical day at the celebration today!
I have seen the beet eggs up here, but have never eaten one, lol

Dennis, welcome back!

Elaine; Dream Dinners, The Dinner Source, Dishes for Dinner, Entrée Vous, Dinner Express.
These are just a few I am sure there are many more. I searched meal assembly on google.

Off to Sunday Breakfast at our favorite breakfast cafe. Check in later.

Thanks PJ - today's service was beautiful! All of the planning paid off! We were doing the "long" prayer and it started with the guitar group singing a prayer (the the pastor did the rest of it). It was the last group to perform, it was all I could do not to cry. It was such a beautiful service and all of the "work" was done. It went off without a hitch. I think I almost cried because I could feel the stress lift off of my shoulders!

Good works Brandi! I am glad it went well. I wish I could have been there to share in it. God Bless You!

I did think about this, but I hope Becka will be sensitive to my aversion to these formulas and do the calculations behind the scenes. :lmao: :rotfl2: ;)

When I make them I boil the eggs and peel them. Then I make the mixture and pour it over the WHOLE eggs while the mixture is still warm. If the eggs are hot it isn't important. You need to "shake" the sealed egg container ever now and then so your eggs get an even coverage. You should let them sit overnight to get a nice color. This mixture will stain your clothing! They are delicious. You should give them a try![/QUOTE]

I have had them before, in Montana, and they are delicious. I love beets and boiled eggs, so this is a treat for me. Of course, I like FOOD, so there ya go.

Becka's been lying to all of you

This is due to her "craftiness" although she says carving pumpkins is not "being crafty."

Well she has been found out! That second one with the Minnie would certainly be crafty! Very nice! :thumbsup2

I say pumpkin carving is crafty... Sorry, Becka, your secret craftiness has been exposed. Soon you'll be embellishing the carving with gems and adding back-shadow carving to the other side of the pumpkin (saw a book on this in the store yesterday...)

Just wanted to pop on here & say HEY! I will be around later tonight. It has been a rough weekend here. The kids are out of school tomorrow too. I have recovered from the carnival. Yesterday morning I couldn't tell if I hurt more sitting down doing nothing or moving around. Catch ya later! :)

Brandi,
Sounds like your service was beautiful. All of the hours of practice and planning paid off!

So, now are you working on developing the DIS Geek show for the cruise? (Oh no... then we'd have to have everyone pack instruments too!)

I'm thinking #11 would be Duke? But just what did you write?? :lmao:

Any good Tarheel can not speak or say that word; it is akin to blasphemy. If we must acknowledge them it is usually spelled like this or as Dook. A person from there is called a Dookie (or sometimes worse things but this is a family board).

Keep warm Brack! Is DW joining you?

She visiting her Mom in NC so it is just the DISDog and me.

:thumbsup2 Thanks, Brack. Spread the word to those who do not know the way of the Heels.

And that reminds me; I forgot to acknowledge ruley3 as a fellow Heel in my hoops post!

Wow Kim, sorry to hear about that. The problem is, the vaccine does NOT guarantee anything. I know many people(kids) who have still gotten chicken pox so I am sure they can also get shingles.

exactly why i would want my child to get them naturally......

I'm highly allergic to animals but we have 2 minature poodles. they don't have fur. they have hair, therefore they don't produce as much dander as other dogs. I saw a labroodle (sp) last week they also only have hair. I never thought I could have a dog but we stumbled upon a terrier poodle the new years eve after we were married and we have had poodles ever since. they are so comforting--they act a lot like cats--sit on your lap and pet. they also love getting in the window like a cat and laying there watching the outside world.

Missy

That's JoJo the DISDog. He's a poodle and is asleep in my recliner right now.
