We spent the afternoon at the Ohio State game - beat Minnesota 44 - 0. So still Number 1.

When the Oregon State score went up - big cheer in the Ohio stadium. Oregon State beat #2 USC. Was that the problem?

I am trying to upload some zoo pictures so I can share. I am sure you guys are sick of pictures of my kids but somehow I never get tired of sharing them. I hope they don't bother you guys too much.

Just to give everyone a taste of what I'm up against this weekend, mine got up after a made a yummy vegatable lasagna and went over to sit on the couch to rest her eyes....no taking her plate off....no helping to clear the table....nothing.

I've been running around like a mad lady trying to get so much done today....and she sat there.

The other thing that erks me...she sits there and talks about her daughter and son in law to us - what they are doing wrong with their lives and the fights they had, etc. I finally got the nerve to ask her if she talks about us to them and she said "sometimes." She actually admitted it. I hate how she talks about her own family behind their backs. Just not a nice lady. I'm glad they all went to the hockey game. Gives me some time to de stress.

Karen, I saw the "Ty" posts. Don't know anything. Congrats on the lion costume.

On the purple eggs:
Am I the only one who understood what he was thinking with the purple eggs? (At least I think he was talking about pickled red beet eggs.) Just had to look it up and it's another Pennsylvania Dutch thing. Haven't seen them since I was a kid, but I'll share the recipe I found for those who are trying to understand this concept.

Red Beet Eggs
Here’s how the Pennsylvania Dutch make hard-boiled eggs tastier and more colorful. Great for summertime picnics.

2 quarts boiled red beets
1 ½ cups cider vinegar
2 ½ cups sugar
2 dozen hard boiled eggs

In a saucepan bring beets, vinegar, and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat. Peel eggs. Add eggs to beet mixture when still hot. Cool and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Serve.

Well I guess it is a regional thing. I have never heard of these in my life. Does anyone have a picture?

DH had horrible shingles and has permanent nerve pain. I wish they would have had the vaccine for Chicken Pox when he was little....

Oh WOW Kim, I have heard shingles is so painful. I got Chicken Pox in highschool. My BIL got them in his early 30s.

ARGGG I am with you! I am trying so hard! Do you all have an "ideal" size you think you should be?

I will never see it again! My ideal would be a 10, but I would be happy with a 12, would settle for a 14.

Uhm well I admit here that I spent a bit of money at the Hallmark store. I was in there for a bit from the time I left the library (2:30)and drove there until 6P. DH dropped DD off at 4P and she was in there with me from 4-a little before 6P when we left to go to dinner together. I honestly didn't realize that i was in there that long. Ok, that is not completely a true statement. When all of the sales assosciates comment "Are you still here?" you understand you have been there longer than 1 hour

I was going to go back tomorrow and get the Ariel ornament but I checked Hallmark online and instead of singing (its got a button on the side) she sighs and talks about how hot Prince Eric looks. Ariel Ornament That annoyed me, so I can't purchase it now. Couldn't they just have her sing. At least then it is about her. Yeah I know its when she is on the rock and she does see him but she sings then too.

Ah well. I got the next series in the music box ornament instead.

Worked a couple of new (to me) stores this past week. Very interesting. It's like learning a new job every day, but I can hold my own. LOL. I get to deal with a lot of PEOPLE. argh!! I'd rather be DISsing!. Bumper Sticker please!
