12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

bluemoon1070 - When I look at your signature, the bottom half of our cruise logo is cut off. That's because of the maximum sig size for the DIS. If you edit your sig to remove the spaces (reduce it to only one space) between the two graphics, they should both show on one line next to each other and nothing will be cut off. Maybe it's just my view (from my laptop), but I know that when it bumps to the next line it can take up too much space for the DIS standards so it gets cropped. :surfweb:

I feel like the time is passing so much faster now and our cruise will be here before we know it! :cool1:

We find DVC points to be a much better use for cruises than paying cash. Especially when considering upgrading to a nicer room. It is much less points to upgrade from a inside room to a outside with balcony then it would be to pay cash. This is one of the best surprises with being a DVC member, I think. For Adventure's By DIsney trips, I find that paying cash is morer reasonable then using points (but we haven't done one yet).

Totally agree with Bluemoon......this cruise is on points for us and we have a great stateroom 7622.

Since we are brand new DVC members, I have no idea about the points! I am hoping to learn more too. :)

Where is everyone staying the night before?
We are thinking the Radisson because it offers free parking and free shuttle service. and it is soo close to the Port!

We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas. We are taking the Disney Cruise Lines transportation to the port like we did last year from BLT.

cyndixo - For some reason I've been noticing signatures more than usual lately, and I just looked at yours - "Disney Magic , 12/04/10 to 12/11/20."

You get to stay aboard until 11 Dec. 2020? Ten years - Lucky you! :rotfl2: (Just kidding as I know it was a typo - lol)

I keep thinking I should shorten my sig, but I'm set on keeping our cruise ticker and our logo along with next year's ticker and since our cruise is nearly here, my sig won't be as crowded after we return and I remove its ticker. Even then, I'm going to keep our logo graphic "for the memories." :goodvibes

I've seen signatures where the countdowns are in the same spot and it flashes one and then the other. But I'm not sure how to do it.

Direct me to one of those sigs and I'll see if I can figure it out. I've seen them but can't recall where here. If the board allowed HTML I could tell you how, but it doesn't.

And for anyone who would like to use the smaller graphic for our cruise (the one I use in my sig), you will find it HERE. The code to copy and paste into your signature for the small graphic is:

hehehehe thanks Shari fixed it....

I can't find the sig I saw originally. But I did see one that took me to http://www.**************/rotate.php Through them you can create multiple banners and then it'll rotate. Not sure if other banner services do this also.

I've used Mickeypath to create rotational countdown banners as well, and no HTML to worry about.
Thanks, Frank and lins4ever! I use Mickeypath but never did a rotating banner yet there. Guess I didn't even notice. Do they need to be the same size to work?

I wish I knew BB code well enough to customize things with it, but I learned HTML back when it was 1.0 and have stuck with it through its evolution, along with javascript and a bit of flash. This old dog is not good at learning new tricks! But it's safer not to allow HTML on message boards, so I'm happy!

I just looked at Mickeypath and it says "you need to have created mutiple Countdown banners or Photo banners."

I'm thinking that although it does rotating banners, it wouldn't do a rotation of our cruise logo (not a banner) with banners. I think in my case I'll stick with how I have it and then just remove our cruise countdown when that one is over but keep our logo plus next year's countdown.

One thing I notice, on my computer anyway, is that on occasion only two of my sig graphics show up here, but if I refresh the page all 3 appear. :confused3

You should be able to rotate both countdowns, but not the cruisin' nuts logo that's square.

I know. That's the one I was talking about - the square logo. I'll just leave mine as it is for now. Nice to have the option though. ;)

Just saw this today and didn't know if everyone else was aware of it. Sorry if it was discussed in earlier postings.

While I don't have an effective date, I was just informed by shoreside concierge that St. Thomas is changing to no longer be docked. Tendering will now be required.

Additionally, the St. Thomas butterfly farm closes its doors for good on July 10th. (See their website: http://www.thebutterflyfarm.com/ right under the red "$5 coupon" in red)

Just thought I'd pass these along since I have not seen them reported.

Thanks, bluemoon1070. We did know about the tendering in St. Thomas and discussed that quite some time ago in this thread, but I did not know that the Butterfly Farm closed.
