Hmmm. Strange. Well, I finally found you and I sent a request. If it shows a photo of a blonde sitting beneath a T-Rex, that's me. I also went in and changed my privacy settings there, so maybe those who haven't found me will be able to. Apparently you have to use "Shari Meyr" to find me instead of my user name, and you need to make sure you are searching for a Facebook friend/user instead of searching the web. I'm not too savvy with FB as it seems disorganized to me (as well as that all those "fun" apps and add-ons force you to consent to "them" accessing all your FB info), but it IS an easy way for people to "connect." My problem now will be keeping "who's who" straight if it's not the same user names or profile pics as on the DIS.

If any here are on MySpace, you can find me as user "taswira." Profile pic there is me with Chip 'n' Dale on DCL. I have LOTS of pics there (unlike my FB). My profile is private but if you send a friend request and note you're from the DIS, I'll accept.

I'll be headed back to WDW one day next week. My AP expires on the 6th, so I need to renew prior to that and actually visit the parks or I'll end up having to pay $14 parking if I show up with a not-yet-activated pass after my current one expires. Gee - That's enough to buy a counter service lunch and drink! Don't you wish WDW was like DCL, where when you get hungry you simply go eat without forking over more money?

I wish all life was like that ... but then I'd be more "pooh-sized" than I am.

Oh, and it's 397 days left!!! (28 days to Vegas).

Searched but couldn't locate you. It searches by real name or email address. It's also possible you have your privacy settings where you don't show in search results. I had to change mine for users here to find me.

Are you standing by a tree in the pic? There are 69 people with that name on FB, and at least a few look like they might be wearing a gray sweater of sorts.

OK. Looks like we are friends there now. I was a bit confused because FB sent me a request to confirm details - that the way we know each other is that I've been a member of the DIS since 2009. Since I've been on the DIS since Jan. 2002 (and it says so beneath my avatar) I thought - Huh? Then I realized it was that we have known each other on the DIS since 2009, right? Sometimes I'm slow to catch on - lol.

Anyway, I'm glad I found you there.

Shari- a friend and I figured out it is really easy to hide all of the farkle, farmtown, yoville, bedeezle stuff on FB if all you are really interested in is updates from friends.

When a post shows up for one of the aps on your news feed roll your mouse over the right edge of the post. A drop down box will appear that says hide- click on it and move to "always hide" click and they are gone. You only have to click each annoying ap once. If ever you change your mind you can go to your settings and undo the hide setting for any of them.

It makes FB much nicer and SO much easier to deal with. I know some love the games, quizzes etc but I really just like the connections. I don't want to know the day I will die, how many hours I would take to kick a vampire's booty or who I am going to marry but I sure liked reading how much Frank is liking the new ship!

Thanks. I know there are also a zillion privacy choices for apps (if you dig deep enough) in Settings. Sometimes I do enjoy a few of those crazy tests if I'm really bored though - lol. FB just doesn't click with me. I'm not knocking it, just explaining why I personally don't do much with it. I know I must be old fashioned, because I gravitate to social networks like MySpace, NING, Twitter (ok - That one can't be old fashioned) and others. Sometimes I go an entire week without even looking at FB. But the one thing I find attractive about it, just as with MySpace and others, is the ability to search for and (hopefully) find even long lost friends. However, if you don't know their email address and they don't have a unique name or a recognizable profile pic, you can end up sifting through hundreds and sending requests to people you don't even know.

Have a great time in NYC. I've been all over the world, but unfortunately the only part of NY I've ever seen is JFK. I think someday I need to go do "the tourist thing" there at long last to not have led such a sheltered life!

Frank - I, too, was expecting your name to be Donald - ha-ha. I just have to think to mentally link your name with your user name, and to not end up saying, "Hey, Donald . . ."

Question: What do you like MOST about the Disney Dream? The AquaDuck? The virtual portholes? Just that it's a NEW Disney ship?

Although there are a few things I am not impressed with, I think the Dream is a beautiful ship and I love what DCL is doing with the "virtual portholes" and with adding a second adult restaurant. Still, unless my "Captain Tom withdrawals" become too severe, I have no immediate plans to book the Dream. I do want to hear whether or not guests notice the 15 sq. ft. LESS space in the staterooms (and even more of a difference in the downsized "Royal Suites"). My own plan is to wait for the Fantasy and hope it's a bit different, but I'm thinking that except for minor differences in decor it may be a clone of the Dream (like the Magic & Wonder are nearly identical). Still, my hope for a Cruisin' Nuts sequel is aimed at the Fantasy.

The AquaDuck, and, the fact that Admiral Donald is the statue in the lobby.

The virtual portholes are also something I wondered -- "Why didn't anyone think of this before?"

Maybe I can get the rest of my family to join next time on the Dream.

I added a Cruisin' Nuts ticker graphic (see the bottom of my signature here) to the NEWS page of our website. If anyone here would like to use it, you can upload it to ************** or other ticker creator and make a custom photo ticker with the Cruisin' Nuts graphics. Just trying to keep promoting Chip 'n' Dale!
