12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Yikes! I am such a detail-oriented person that it seriously embarrasses me when I make mistakes. It took until today for me to realize that on the "mini forum" I recently created for our cruise HERE, when I made threads for "Ports & Excursions" I listed the ports from the western! Anyone who saw it (Frank - Didn't you notice? lol), please forgive me. My only excuse is that my western with my mom is rapidly approaching . . . and that I'm losing my ability to multitask? :lmao:

I hope everyone is having a great week. The weather here has been beautiful lately. Come on down! :goodvibes

Also, I have considered making a page for video links, such as to official DCL ones (ONLY pertaining to the Magic or our destinations on this sailing though), and any other good videos of the Magic or the destinations we will visit that any of you may suggest to me. Just needs to be valid and safe links though, such as YouTube, etc. What do you think?

Great idea! Perhaps some simple amusement like silly enthusiast videos like this?

Sorry, robert88, but I'm not clicking the link because I don't know who you are or why you are here. :confused3 I can see that you joined today, have made 20 posts in the hour or so since you joined, have posted your video links all over the place (and even tried to embed a video in one), and have no info in your "About" on your profile. I didn't think people with so few posts were allowed to post links. I guess that has changed. I am not trying to be unfriendly, but your posting pattern is highly unusual for a new member.

Are you on our cruise? If so, please provide your info and I will add you to the list. If you are traveling with someone already on the list, please advise. Thanks!

CAUTION: I would advise others here to please DO NOT click on that video link until we know who this is. Hate to be paranoid, but this posting pattern for a new user is rather suspicious!

I've been fighting a cold, so it must've slipped my mind. Besides, it's more fun finding out how long before one finds an error on their own, eh? ;) LOL

Ha-ha . . I can get so OCD that catching myself (or someone else catching me!) being "wrong" sticks in my brain for months. I know it's ridiculous, but that's just how I am. But I DO admit my mistakes, and I sure made a whopper there . . and I'm not quite old enough to pass it off as a "senior moment." :rotfl2:

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. I almost thought I was coming down with something last week, but it was only that the temps kept changing hot/cold/hot again. That always does it to me. It's lovely out now, but I am hoping for some semblance of winter soon so I can wear my favorite clothes. :yay:

Shari I thought of you today.. Kohls has Chip/Dale lounging pants!! they were yellow... very cute!! I almost bought a pair!

we leave tomorrow for WDW~ I only have Natalie packed so far.

Oh, my! Were they in adult sizes or just for kids? I have a $10 Kohl's certificate I could put towards them, and their store is only a couple of miles out the front gate. If they have them for grown-ups, it looks like I'll be making a visit! :goodvibes

How long will you be at WDW? I am taking my mom on her B'day on Monday, probably to HS to see the Osborne lights. If not, then most likely MK.

Have a great trip! :santa:

the lounge pants were all adult sizes. there were a ton of different Disney characters!! I think they were 20.00 but with some kind of sale price of course!

We are coming home on Tues.
Fri is MK Crystal Palace and the Xmas party
Sat is AK Chef Mickey
Sun is Epcot Le Cellier.. our first time
Mon HS we are winging it. :) we are cool with doing 2 counter service that day
Tues MK Kona at the Poly new this year too.

I cant wait to see their faces when we pull into the Polynesian!! :)

Cool - My Kohl's certificate will pay a big chunk of it. I'll head over there tomorrow. :)

If you do HS on Monday and are there when they turn on the Osborne lights, we might run into you as that's probably where my mom will want to go. I'm sure she will opt for a wheelchair so we should be easy to spot. I'll have my Taswira/Cruisin' Nuts name card on my Chip 'n' Dale lanyard.

Ahhhh . . the Polynesian . . That's a real treat! :cloud9:

the kids do not know we are staying at the Poly. they think we are at the POR. ( we stayed there last year.) so it is a fun surprise for them. :)

I am sure my son or husband will have on some kind of Pgh Steelers shirt. I love the Osborne lights!! and just listen ... we normally are screaming "John or John jr " every 3 minutes! :rotfl2:

Well, as of 10 minutes ago my mom is saying she doesn't want to go to HS on Monday after all, because it is EMH and likely to be really crowded just before EMH starts (before we "day trippers" and others leave the park) at 8. So her decision (as of this moment) is MK, which is open until 11pm that day. But she is SO unpredictable, we could end up anywhere! I also hope to take her around to the various resort hotels as usual, to see the holiday decorations.

Back on-topic to our Cruisin' Nuts cruise - I am betting we will see many additions to our cruisers not long after Christmas, early in the coming year. Many people tend to rebook for "Same time next year," so maybe we'll even see an increase before Christmas. :santa:

Hi all, we are back from 5 days in Las Vegas. Five days of sunshine. We are back in Chicagoland and it is raining. ;)

Taswira - I didnt know you were going to WDW I am arriving on Tuesday sorry I will miss you.
Whether you miss me depends on how long you will be here. I live an hour from WDW and have an AP so I am there often. I plan to go Monday because it's my DM's birthday and her pass expired this month. Since she can get in free on her B'day with the "Celebrate" promotion, we'll be going provided she feels like it (She turns 87 so I never know - lol). But anyone is liable to run into me at WDW any time. ::yes::

And Magic3forme - I found the Chip 'n' Dale lounging pants at Kohl's today. They were marked $30 but were in a 50% off area. But the pair I took to the checkout was missing the price tag. The cashier had to go back to check. She came back holding another pair and said that even though they are supposed to be more, she would sell them to me for $10 because (she claimed) that's what the sign on the rack said. So I used the $10 discount card I had and bought TWO pair for a cash cost to me of only $10.65 including tax! Nice, huh? I will keep one pair out to use but pack the other away for our Cruisin' Nuts cruise. Thanks for the notice on this! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you at least had a nice SUNNY time in Las Vegas, Judy! Welcome back! :sunny:

Shari: wahoo!!! I always love a bargain!! :)
we are almost all packed up
just need a few more things!!

WDW here we come!! :)

hopefully I will see some of you there!!

Thanks! We brought some money back but I am sure there will plenty left for you to win. Have fun. Days were in the 60s but warm in the sun. Nights went down to 30s. They say it is the coldest it has been since March. Even with the 60s we managed to get in some pool time. We stayed at Paris, where are you staying?

I'm staying at the Hilton, on the monorail line. I know it's not the most convenient, but I got a good deal, so I'm not complaining. I just wish they didn't close Star Trek: The Experience...
