My original plan was to eat at Be Our Guest on 11/16 after my husband arrived from the airport. By the time we got over to the restaurant (2-2:30) they were no longer letting people in.
We had eaten an 8AM breakfast at Crystal Palace. We were passing by the bridge of BOG around 10:30 and people were starting to line up. I wasn't actually hungry of course, but damnit, I got in line with DH!!!
We had the credits to use up anyway. I called my son who was off exploring on his own and told him to meet us over there in a little while.
We get in before my son arrived, so I had to send DH outside to go get him once he got there. I was so excited to be in there!! It was a little chaotic in there. You could feel the excitement. I didnt snap any pics of the menus, but I'm sure you have all seen them. It's kind of a pain in the butt that the screen keeps changing. I don't know if it will eventually be that you order on your own, but there were CM's to do the ordering for everyone. We placed our order, which took a bit of time, even with the CM doing it and quickly decided where to sit so we could put our rose on the table. I let my son choose, and he picked the West Wing. I thought I was going to like the Ballroom more, but it was so bright in there and open that it didn't thrill me. I have to say here, that we ate in the Ballroom at dinner and it has a whole different feel at night with the lights turned down low...especially when we were seated right in front of the window with the falling snow
The West Wing was really cool and definitely my favorite room for a lunch.
I put the rose down and quickly went exploring in the other rooms. I wasn't gone very long, but the food was already at the table when I got back.

Grilled Sandwich of Carved Ham, Gruyere Cheese,
and Béchamel with Pommes Frites
This is what my son ordered. Actually, I should say that this is what was placed in front of him. I pretty much had my fork or face in everyones plate.
I thought it was really delicious and so did my son. I actually likes this better than the one I got at Le Chefs later in the week.
Vegetable Quiche
Mushroom, Zucchini, Bell Pepper, Onion, and Chive Quiche
served with Baby Lettuce coated with Champagne Vinaigrette
I ordered this because I figured it would be something a little lighter since I wasn't very hungry. Although, when you think about it, there's nothing light about eggs, cream, and cheese. Ok, it just goes down easier!

The salad was nice and refreshing. I thought the quiche was ok. I wouldn't feel the need to have it again after trying it the first time. There was nothing bad about it. Just nothing spectacular.
Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style)
Eight Hour Slow-cooked Pork with Mushrooms, Onions,
Carrots, and Bacon served with Mashed Potatoes
and Green Beans Jardinière
DH ordered this. I have to say, epecially for a counter service lunch, I was very impressed. The meat was so tender and delicious. I would definitely get this again.
Passion Fruit Cream Puff
filled with Passion Fruit Mousse topped
with Whipped Cream
Triple Chocolate Cupcake
Chocolate Sponge Cake, Chocolate Mousse Filling,
and Chocolate Ganache
Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake
Vanilla Sponge Cake, Strawberry Mousse Filling,
and Cream Cheese Icing
I tried all 3 (of course!) and I liked the Strawberry Cream Cheese cupcake the best. It was moist and the cake wasn't too dense and heavy. I really liked those crispy little balls on top too. I didnt find any of the desserts outstanding though. I had "the Grey Stuff" at dinner and really liked that!
None of us finished our meals, due to lack of stomach space, but we all really enjoyed the experiece and would definitely go back.
