1st time cruise in April for 7 nights on the Fantasy. Spending a few days in Cocoa beach before the cruise so can't use Disney transport then.

Our flight on the day we get back into port is at 11:50am.

Would that make it too tight to take DLT back to MCO or should I just focus on an early private pick up?

Thanks

AK

You will be able to make that flight unless there is some unusual situation that delays debarkation or if there is some kind of traffic situation that impacts the drive to the airport. If you have late seating for breakfast, I wouldn't go to the MDR, but make other plans for breakfast.

Last year, with an express walk-off (at 7:30), a late arrival of our limo and 1 hour of car trouble on the highway, we barely made it to a 10:30 flight. So, if you are certain that the earliest Disney bus departs early enough, you should be fine. Being traumatized by our last experience, this year we opted to fly back the next day and to stay at WDW on debarkation day ... :D

If you get on a bus that is leaving the port by 9am, you should be fine, unless there is some unusual situation on the road. I had this exact same flight time in September and I had time to get through security without TSA pre-check, eat in the food court, talk to home for an hour, and go to the restroom.

I do agree with the previous poster that if missing your flight is outside your comfort zone and would be absolutely disastrous, then make other arrangements. Only you can judge your level of discomfort for missing a flight.

I think you will have no problem with 11:50. Disney recommends not booking prior to 12, but they always get you to the airport hours before hand. If you can pick an airline that does onboard check in, then you'll save a step. If you have the earliest dining, eat quickly and then get off to go to the bus. You'll still likely sit there waiting. Or grab something quick from Cabanas and leave shortly after you wake up. We had an 11:49 flight last time, got off the boat, sat on the bus over 45 min waiting for it to fill, and still had plenty of time at the airport (even with MCOs abominable TSA line)

We did that flight in June - got off the ship around 8am arrived at the airport a little after 9am and sat around for an hour before heading to the gate. We have precheck so it only took us a few minutes to get through security.

11:50 that's a very good time. You are probably going to have a long wait at the airport. Perfect time for getting off a cruise. Enjoy the shops at mco plently of good shops at mco before you head to security.

We got off the bus last Sat at 7:45 - husband was in a panick we wouldn't make it - and got to the airport so early that we had hours to kill. You'll be fine, sans anything unexpected. No worries. They want everyone off the boat by 9:00 a.m.
