My wife leaves on Saturday morning and I cant get out of work-- til thanksgiving-- bills are paid.. spending money ready.. mmm I can smell the ocean air already.. and rum.. lots of rum.. Oh I also warmed up the vocal cords for karoke!!!!

My son and myself have so far had the shot. Hubby will get it in the next couple of days. My daughter can't get it for a month, as she just had her bouster shots. Oh well... doesn't sound like "the flu" anyway, just a case of "vacation flu".
I am sure we are okay!
Did I tell you guys that I got a dress for formal night? Yeah! It is black velvet and really nice! I am so excited!

ok - how is everyone feeling this morning? Has some of the excitement gone away? 1wk from this very moment and we're suppose to be on the airplane headed to FL! Do I continue getting us ready? I dont feel like doing the countdown anymore. This is a sad sad day.

Except for Linda & Laurie the rest of you have been wayyyyy too quiet today. So how are you spending your last (?) weekend before OUR cruise? Are you going on as if we are cruising next week? Im thinking now that maybe Sat I'll work on getting Christmas ready (wrapping, decorating) and then wait till Sun to finishing packing/going through paperwork, etc. Maybe by Sun we will have heard from the 11/23 cruisers after they get onboard ship? I can always wait till Thanksgiving morn to finish up but by then I'll be having a few (hey it's vaca 1 way or another!) and who knows what will get left behind!

This weekend I will start pulling out my clothes for the trip (won't pack them until Friday morning (we are last minute packers). I am soooo busy at work that I have to do some work this weekend, so that I don't leave my team in a big mess for the week I am away.
That's about it.....

Hello all...well..here I am thinking how mint it will be 7 days from now and the anticipation of the flight and the cruise....and the week is going to fly since it is real busy at work....and as far as packing....not my job....I just pay for everything....so I don't have to pack...anyway....looking forward to seeing you all....wouldn't it be a blast if some of us ended up sitting at the same table at dinner.....

Started laying out the clothes last night. Not sure if I have enough dresses. May have to visit my sister today to see what she has. My DD (5.5) has started her journal and has a countdown going ("one week until my disney cruise"). She is so excited.

Whats everyones plans if the Magic cancels for next Sat?
We're still flying down on Thurs since our airfare is already paid.
Hopefully we can get a last minute deluxe room on property for the entire stay. Packing for both trips - they can always cancel the cruise between when we leave Th and when we're due to get on ship.

First of all... it will not be canceled! (positive thinking!) But, if it is, we can get back the points we used for our flights, so we could cancel the whole thing. Then, we would probably book a last-minute trip down south somewhere. I NEED to get away, so there is no way we are canceling! Don't really want to do Disney with the kids yet (they are too young), so don't want to end up in Florida (been there too often - would like to go somewhere else).

shhhhh... no cancel-- on a good note-- my dw left today.. she was flying Delta and was bumped in Atlanta-- they gave her a 400.00 dollar travel voucher-- how long was she bumped you asked???? one hour.. I hope I get bumped on Weds... our next trips airfair will be paid for-- hello Disney Paris!!!!! (we get good airline prices )

Hello all....there is no way we are going to get cancelled.....period....6 days to go to the Magic and I cannot wait...and I would rather be sick on a Disney ship then well on my living room sofa....but it won't happen...someone must have had the bug and it went through....it happens all the time in school...workplace...so why should the ship be different? Let's get ready to rock and roll!!!

my excitement is creeping back - the sickness will be in the back of my mind and yes I'll pack for WDW just in case - but I am going to finish packing today

I finalized all the kid's stuff and tried the formal outfit on my son. He looks sooooo cute! I also washed all their sandal from the summer. They were a mess. I also checked out my dresses (and tried them on) and I think I am okay! I may not be quite as dressy as some on the semi-formal night, but in my opinion, one formal night is enough.
Trying decide how many shoes to bring. I have a terribly uncomfortable pair that would look great on formal night. I may bring them, considering that I will only have to wear them for a couple of hours (and I will be sitting down most of the time).
So... what are you guys up to?

ahhh - did you see the post about the illness? guess it started earlier in the week than what was reported. people were puking in wastebaskets trying to get off the ship! hope they get better quick and there is no illness this week - keeping everything crossed

just changed my countdown to 3.5 days! Hey its after 130 and we leave at 130 Thurs!

Just ran through DHs list of clothes and made sure they are in his suitcase. All he has to add is sox & underwear - lol He's got it made. Also checked DSs and my clothes and they are ready to go.
I still have to go through the list that I always check through before we go anywhere - big or mini vaca - lists lots of "stuff" not just clothes

Laurie - are you adding any Christmas decorations to your SPR door? I have a few Mickey Christmas wall/mirror decorations that Im adding to our cabin.

We may have 1 of the shiniest ships on the ocean!

Hello to ya all.....only 5 days to go....actually 5 working days...so when I walk out the door Friday night at 5 I am on vacation....and so looking forward to this trip.....hope all the hype about the illness was just that...hype from the media....can you guys believe we are so close? By the way...what night is generally semi-formal and formal night? Not that it makes much of a difference to me since I will wear my suit each night....so come on guys...talk to me.....anyway....looking forward to meeting you all!
