11/29/2015 Disney Magic

Hi! Booked this one as soon as it came out...it wil be our 5th Disney cruise and second one on the reimagined Magic. We are bringing our 13 year old son, and celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary! :cool1:

Patterson Family just booked this cruise!! We have cruised several "other" lines but feel in love with DCL! So excited we have sailed on the Dream and the Fantasy! I can not wait to be on the Magic. Our party consist of Poppy (Chris), Mom & the planner (Sarai), Beastie (Madison, 12) and As of yet unnamed friend of darling daughter, also 12. ( a total surprise for our little Beastie). We will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary.

We are so excited! We just booked our first Disney cruise on the Magic! My husband and I will be traveling with our 3 Disney loving DDs (3,5,8).:cheer2:this is our second ever cruise, our first was last year in CCL. We knew we had to do a Disney cruise as we watched our children oogle the Disney ship that was docked next to ours. Can't wait!! We would love to be apart of the FE too, already collecting and pinning ideas. :)

Hi my name is Jay and my wife, son (8 yo) and I will be taking our very first family cruise together on the 11/29 Magic! We are so very excited as this is my son's first cruise, and my wife and my first cruise in over 20 years. We will be cruising and then driving to Orlando after the cruise for a few more days of magic.

Looking forward to relaxing and enjoying all that the ship has to offer. Our son (Winston) is excited, as he sees the ships and Castaway Cay promoted constantly during his favorite Disney shows (Jessie, Austin & Ally, Dog with a Blog, etc.). He is also really excited about the Marvel Superhero training, although he really wishes that they picked our cruise to be one of the "Star Wars" cruises.

Believe it or now, with everything that there will be to do, my son asked if there will be anyone that he could play chess with. I believe that there are chess boards in the pub, but he will probably bring his own. Let me know if you have a son or daughter that likes to play.

We are also open to anyone that might be interested in setting up any on-board events, like wine/beer/martini tasting, a poker night, etc. We are also familiarizing ourselves with all of the unique Disney Cruise things like decorating the doors, fish extenders, etc. Looking very forward to this!

This is our first cruise my daughter will be 7. We are looking for any advice that can be given. Trying to get more info on the fish extender to see if that's something we want to do.

Currently booked on this cruise as well, but considering switching to the Dream so we can also do a couple of days at WDW and hit up Mickey's Christmas party. Would it be crazy to drive to Orlando from Miami after cruising on the Magic?

We are driving from Miami to Orlando after the cruise. It's a 3 to 3.5 hour drive, and we are renting a car in Miami and dropping it off in Orlando (through my wife's corporate National account, we are getting the car for $39 per day. Costco also had decent pricing). We are planning on going to Mickey's Christmas Party on the Friday, figuring we can pick up the car as soon as we disembark, and should arrive in Orlando by 1PM, with access to MK for the Chrismas party around 4:40.

I like the sound of that! Unfortunately, we have 8 people, so I'm not sure if we could all fit into one rental. I might look into how expensive hiring a private van to take us would be.

Yeah, with 8 people, you might need a bigger vehicle. LOL

You could check out a limo. I know there are companies that specialize in Miami-Orlando trips. Ballpark, if you assumed $55/hr. for a Lincoln Limo that would hold 8-10 people, and 10 hours for the trip (you also have to pay the hours for the limo to return after dropping you off), you are looking at $660-ish, inc. tip). Seems expensive, but it is only $82.50 per person. You could probably hire a private shuttle bus for less as well.

Maybe we will get lucky and find another family that would want to split the ride cost.

We just booked for this trip! This will be our first cruise and we will be traveling with three girls (8, 7, and 5). I am looking to make this an AMAZING experience for them and am really looking forward to the extras (fish extender and door magnet type stuff). We currently reside in the DC area but are a military couple so we have moved around a TON. In total there will be seven of us cruising (myself, my husband, our three girls, my mom and his mom). We are spread over three rooms! Ia m REALLY looking forward to this trip and IS IT NOVEMBER YET????

Hello everyone, We just booked this cruise and we are so excited! It will be myself, my husband, our son (will be 7) and daughter (will be 4). We are a Colorado family, so we are all looking forward to being at sea :) This is our first adventure to anything Disney!

GET EXCITED!!! We just booked this cruise for our family. This will be our very first Disney Cruise! First cruise ever for our children. My husband and I will be cruising with our two daughters (10 & 6). Can anyone catch me up on how the Fish Extender process works?

Hey everyone! I couldn't find a fish extender thread for the 11/29/15 5 night Caribbean trip so I thought I would start one. This will be our 2nd DCL cruise but our first one the magic. We are set excited!

First time cruiser. Still learning and wrapping my brain around the FE process. How many people should one expect to participate usually? Is it usually just 1 gift per cruise? Just wondering if it ends up being tons of people and if the expectation is multiple gifts. Can you shed a little light?

We just signed up for the November 29th cruise! I'd love to participate in a fish extender! It's our first cruise and it's celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.
Thanks!

I think we are planning on heading up to Orlando after the cruise for Mickey's nss Christmas Party (Friday night) and/or the Disapalooza private party in Diagon Alley (Saturday night). Please let me know if anybody else is interested, as I would prefer to charter a nice mini-bus or coach to take us, rather than rent a car. If we get enough people, I would imagine the cost would be fairly low. I am a travel professional and can volunteer to arrange the transportation if there is enough interest. I will keep checking in as our sail date approaches. Thanks!

Hi my name is Iliana from Miami. This will be my boyfriend Esteban(22) and my 2nd Disney cruise, but first time on the Magic. Our 1st cruise back in 01/2015 on the dream was a surprise Christmas present from Esteban, leaving me with little time to research as thoroughly as I like to do. We are looking forward to taking advantage of everything DCL has to offer in addition to experiencing the reImagined Magic!
We are hoping that my parents will be in good health and able to join us as well! I only booked yesterday but have already looked at my DCL countdown clock 100 times! 191 days needs to go by faster!

Cannot wait!

P.S. We are also looking forward to getting in on the Fish Extenders(now that we know what they are :)). Ive been Pinning left and right and saving items I can use to craft together some gifts for exchange already!
