11-29-08 Nana Heads 3: Tiara Bob & The Dreamboats reunion Cruise CONTINUED THREAD #8!

We have to go to dinner. DH lives for that. We are eating at Palo's the night we are in Grand Cayman. And of course, we have to go for Pirate Night, but we're wearing our Pirate clothes. I have some cute dresses, but they require special shoes, and I have been instructed to pack less shoes. I think one whole suitcase was devoted to shoes last time, and I got into a lot of trouble for that.

Trust me if I could cut down on shoes anyone can. Last year I swear I wore a different pair of shoes to dinner every night. I did repeat some of my flips during the day and people noticed. This year, I was able to find 4 dresses with black in them so I only need one pair of black shoes (which is killing me). Formal Night, Semi-Formal and pirate night I will wear different shoes to dinner. So I was able to go from 12 pairs last year to just 7 pairs this year. Although I might sneak in an extra pair of black shoes

Oh..you guys have me really thinking about what I should and should not pack for this cruise. I do not ever pack early, normally it's the night before we leave home. I have a list of things that I need to pack, but I don't pack early. Maybe you guys will inspire me to do better this time.

I did clean out closets and kind of sorted out what summer things that I wanted to pack for the cruise. I guess that counts for starting early.

I'm having a panic attack just thinking about you not being pre-packed yet.

My two year old is driving me crazy tonight!! He's very hyper for some reason. On a normal day our living room looks like a day care center..today, it looks like a tornado came through it. He is for sure, a terrible two today. It's hard to discipline him though, b/c he's so darn cute!

Too funny..I'm really bad about packing. About 3 days before the cruise, DH will start asking me "Steph? When are we gonna pack?" I say..."Maybe later" and well...later turns into midnight the night before we leave..Heck, I'm even throwing sticking stuff in the suitcase on the way out the door that I forgot to pack...usually it's shoes!!

I checked on the trip for my parents last night to Vegas. The flight from Shreveport, La and 7 nights at the Monte Carlo was $704 per person. I thought this was a great price. It was over the New Year's Holiday.

Last year I just kept the list next to my computer at all times so I could all see who I was typing to.

Good idea -- but if you just keep the list handy between now and the cruise, you'll know who everyone is!

Trust me, we've all (at least most of us) been there with trying to learn real names vs. DIS names vs. pictures. Just keep sticking with the posting and you'll figure it out in no time!
