ok I know this is going to sound really weird but I have never drank a Martini

I have probaly drank about everyother alchoholic drink but not that one. What is in it? Vodka right?

My most important job as a high school senior was to mix my Dad's martinis and have them chilled and waiting for him when he got home. Gin & Vermouth, he preferred a twist of lemon, stirred gently and never shaken so they didn't bruise. I guess his work days were as awful as some of mine. I just can't handle the martinis to overcome them. Gee, I miss him.

I checked the prices today for the New Year's Eve Southern, I'd love to go!! The prices are really steep. I'm not sure I'd ever talk Greg into that.
