I've been really busy today so haven't posted but have checked in and lurked a couple of times. My sister sailed out today on the Magic and so I've talked to her about 5 times (before she left the port). She was so excited!! She loved her CC gift and we also sent her something and she loved that also! Going to bed now after I check out the main forum. Type to you guys tomorrow! Hey, Greg, take some pictures of the SNOW and post them here. We don't get that much SNOW here and DD loves it!!

Well, I finally made to the end of all the posts. I last looked at this thread on Thursday and tonight I was about 40 pages behind. Amazing...

We have a busy weekend already and it's not even over yet. Yesterday, we were off work, so we went to run errands all day, last night I went to jewelry party, then to a high school football game. Today, I have cleaned out my closet, we put together DS2 new Disney CARS bed, bought groceries, cooked supper for the in-laws and have watch the first half of the LSU - Florida game. We were losing, so I decided to go check the boards. We're still losing now. Greg is screaming at the TV, like they can hear him..

Tomorrow, we have church stuff going on, always busy on Sundays.


This week- DS birthday on Friday. I am depressed...I can't believe he's two already. Time flies around here.

Yes. my name would help! I am Monica. This will be our first Disney Cruise. We are DVC members and usually take 3 trips a year to the resorts, always one for our anniversary around this time (it is the day before we sail). We have a 3 year old daughter who will be along for the cruise. She is in love with all things Disney, especially the characters.

My husband is a diver, so he may do some dive excursions while me and the kid hang out on the ship or beaches. She is happy to sit in a pool all day long!

I have some basic questions to start. How do I get these door magnets I see every where? What exactly does semi-formal and cruise casual mean to DCL? And most important...how do I let them know about our Anniversary?

Welcome!!! I am, Steph(36) and will be traveling with DH (36), and DS2. We are new to this Nana Head Crusing group too! And this is our first time on DCL. It is our 10th cruise overall though.

My husband is also a diver and is planning to dive in Cozumel. Does your husband have anyone that he is going with? Mine is doing the Dive excursion through the ship tours.

I also just stay on board while he dives, I like the ships on port days. And I have already been to Cozumel, like 7 times, so I have seen pretty much everything there.

Ok, I have a question about the Adult areas that you guys have been talking about.. Are kids not premited in the areas? Or are they just discouraged from going to those places.

The reason that I ask is b/c on several cruises that we have been on in the past, we seen several small kids (age 4 months to say 3 years) in the dance clubs/karaoke/comedy clubs with the parents. They were too young for kid clubs on those ships, so the parents just let them come with them and they quietly sit in the stollers or slept. Does this happen on DCL also? Or is it forbidden?

Packing Question- Do any of you pack fewer clothes and have the clothes sent out to laundry half way through the cruise? We normally do, to reduce packing...But now, I am worried about you guys seeing us in the same clothes...

Mostly the kids seem to stay out of the adult areas - particularly the night time clubs. A tip: If your little guy will sleep in the stroller, you can take him into Flounders and they will watch him most night - even if you don't have a reservation for care, check it out because they are SO nice there. We had most of our night time adult time when we were able to do that with our youngest on our first 2 cruises...and our oldest was excited about the lab.

My wife actually (gasp) does laundry a couple of times. Even though we overpack like crazy there are always a few things we need and the laundry rooms are really pretty user friendly and we can usually plan it so we put the wash in...go do something...move it to the dryer..do something else..come back and get it out.

Hi Tom, sorry about your mom. If I remember correctly she cruised with you and your wife last time.

Hope you will drop by more often, I do remember you from the 06.
This group is even crazier that in 06 and several of them were there in 06 too.
