Since...I am usually up quite late, I will check it out later and tomorrow morning you will have an itinerary :goodvibes

I'm in so long as it is on a GREAT ship and during a time we can get away school-wise.

Jeff...What are your breaks in PA? Ours are 2 days for Thanksgiving, so I can take her out for 3 days...Christmas thru New Years, Presidents week in February and of course Easter/Passover.

Ok let me correct myself. The cruise must ALSO go to St. Lucia.

First it was as long as the kids are off, now it's "It must go to St. Lucia" Next you'll tell me you'll go if you can get a balcony cabin for $499 a head.:rotfl:

We have everything you have but we DON'T have the President's week. Only one day for that. For me, I think Thanksgiving week would be ideal or perhaps Easter -- but it has to be the week leading up to Easter Sunday, not after -- since they often tack on a day or two in addition to Good Friday and Easter Monday so we might get away with only 2 days off (Monday/Tuesday).

LOL - St. Lucia has really been my dream destination. It looks so much like Hawaii...

OK I might be 32 years old but I just had a great night at the fire house. Since it is fire prevention week alot of our stations are doing something. A friend called and asked us to come to here. I figured gosh two fire houses in two days what fun. Well I was shocked.

I got to ride up in one of the buckets on the trucks and was 9 stories high. I felt sick but was really cool. Then I got to actually ride in a fire truck for a long time. My friends little boys got to ring the bell and sound the sirens. It was soooo cool. :thumbsup2

For the person asking what we get for holidays in PA this month we get 2 days off for Columbus day. Thanksgiving is 3. They had to make the Monday after Thanksgiving a vacation day because so many kids skipped for the first day of Hunting. Christmas is Christmas ever to Jan 2ND

And in my district we get 10 excused vacation days if proved educational. And boy did I make the Disney cruise educational on the request form. :rotfl:

How about this itinerary
Probably can't post a lot of details here but here are the ports of call. Thanksgiving week next year.
Departure Port: San Juan, Puerto Rico
Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island; San Juan, Puerto Rico

Woo Hoo I have actually been somewhere Jeff hasn't:cool1: :cool1:

Since we got married in Disney our honeymoon was also spent there. So for our 1 year anniversary I insisted on going some place tropical. Hawaii was just too far so we when to Sandals St. Lucia. It was an amazing vacation but Jeff I gotta tell you it just doesn't compare to Hawaii.

I also found 2 choices for August 2009 for Southern Caribbean - one with Barbados and St. Lucia as a port. The other Dominica.

Here are the itineraries:

Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island; San Juan, Puerto Rico

Ports of Call: San Juan, Puerto Rico; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; Roseau, Dominica; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; San Juan, Puerto Rico

Been searching for years for that Maui feeling somewhere in the Caribbean. I was sure St. Lucia would do it. St. John was pretty close but I guess it just isn't there and a return to Maui will have to be on the calendar.

The biggest problem we had was that the beach wasn't swimable:mad: It was very rough and rocky. We did go snorkeling but it wasn't even close to Maui. Of course, I didn't know this until I finally went to Maui. I'll tell ya I think the only place better than Maui is going to be Tahiti:goodvibes
