HI BOBBY AND LISA!!! WE MISS YOU!!! What time is it there?

We are 15 hours ahead of the US here in Russia. So, when it is 3 p.m. Monday afternoon here, it is Midnight Sunday night in Atlanta, GA!

Hello All!

Since I have a few minutes, I thought I would write another post.

We are definitely having a blast, and Lisa and I are already planning our return here next year! The people have been phenomenal!

For those who don't know much about our trip (Gailyn, I did see your post), we are here as part of a team from our church. We are working with three missionaries here in reaching out to the people of Khabarovsk, Russia. So far, we have held two conferences, and this morning we met with about 75 students who are studying English. The students were a blast, and we had a great time answering their questions about America.

We will be returning to the US on Sunday, October 12. We leave Russia on Saturday, 10/11 and fly to Seoul, Korea. We will spend the afternoon and night in Seoul (most of it shopping) and then start the 22 hour trip home from Seoul.

Although we are 15 hours ahead of our own time, the transition has been pretty smooth. The hardest part has been remembering what day it is!

We miss you all and look forward to returning home and posting pictures.:thumbsup2

So glad you are having a great time...So tell us, how is Monday, is it going to be a good day? LOL

Thanks for stopping in and check in again real soon.

Safe Travels
Joanna

Mornin Everyone.

I go to watch the Football game last night, and wake up to 6 new pages... You were chatty last night..

Good morning everyone, Its COLD here. We have turned on the heat a few times. Its time for me to get out the flannel Jammie's. That's OK though. I love them.

Well I found out my new job is ending next week. I'm not upset really . Their is so much here to do before we leave. Rick has spent two whole days setting up the Hallowing decorations out side. Doesn'T seem wort it to me with having to take it down so soon.

We have decided the week before the trip to take down all the fall stuff and go ahead and put up the inside Christmas. That way when were depressed driving 18 hours home and knowing our trip of a life time is over the house will already be decorated. :thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone,

WOW!! I didn't check in Saturday or Sunday, and I had 30 pages to read!!! You folks have sure been busy. We have had a very busy weekend. We went to visit my SIL and neice Saturday and went to the fair with them, played some cards, got home really late. Sunday, church in morning, afternoon shopping, evening church...where does the day go? Now, it Monday morning AGAIN!!!!!!!!! BUt closer to the cruise:cool1:

morning nanas:banana:  Happy Monday. I hope everyone had a good weekend.:) Today I am spending my day catching up on :laundy: again. We were gone so much of the weekend I did not get much done. I also have to bring all the fall/winter clothes out and put away the summer clothes.

Bob-Thanks for the update from Russia. Glad things are going well.

Marie-I think I have seen red licorice string at CVS, Krogers, Meijers. I am sure if they have red they would have black too. Cute spider cupcakes by the way. I may have to make some too. The kids are going to a Halloween party. Maybe I will make them for that.

Wendy are you off today? Sounds like you need a day off. Do you always work 12 hour shifts? My neighbor is a nurse and she did 2 12 hour days in a row last week:faint:

Well I need to go make sure DD is almost ready to go. TTYL

Morning Nanas! It was a little chilly here this morning as well... guess it's that time of year. Getting ready to go the ENT doctor to see what my sinus CT scan turned up. Gotta get back though because today is Monday and 12:30 will be here really quick!!! :thumbsup2 Gotta see what's going on in 2010, don't forget!!! Be back later to check in.

I have been to walmart and they have red but no black. I also have no idea what to use for the eyes. If anyone tries to make them lat me know how they turned out.

I also wanted to mention that we did have some very bad and upsetting news here yesterday.....my niece, lost her baby yesterday. She was 24 wks and was still born...she had a full abruption. So needless to say, we are all very sad. My niece herself at this point mentally wise is having a very difficult time with this.....so if I can ask again for some pixiedust directed her way, I would appreciate it......thanks and I'm glad that us nana's can stick together thru the good and the bad times.

Denise

Oh Denise I'm so sorry! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

WOW another one for me...Kathy am I in first place yet? :confused3

Ya know, after I typed this, I realized I am a loon, I can't believe I am doing this. :rotfl2:

Just call me :crazy2:

Good morning Nanas!

Lotta work to do today as I am meeting with a design firm tomorrow that I haven't ever worked with before. They asked me to be part of their pitch to a local college and it'd be a sweet piece of business to pull in So I need to know what the heck I'm talking about tomorrow. That might be a challenge.:rotfl2:

I need some help. Has anyone seen any string licorash in black and any kind of candy I can use as eyeballs? I'm making cupcakes that look like spiders.

Marie...A girl I work with just printed this recipe off at work yesterday and asked the same question...I will find out if she found any of the licorish and let you know...she also was looking for the eyeballs...
