Hi Wendy,
hope your FIL gets better soon.:goodvibes I know how disappointing it feels to think your going home then have to spend another night at the hospital.

Really quiet around here today isnt it??

Kathy

Verna and Elmer ... so good to hear from both of you. But I have to say that I believe Verna a little bit more as I can't say I've ever seen or heard of a 30-point buck. I"ll get you catch 48" catfish in the pond across the way too?

Verna's right ... menfolk git all the brakes. :rotfl2:

Hi Verna,

You tell Elmer he needs to help you with all those chores.:thumbsup2
These are modern times and the men need to help out at home.

That way you have more time to post.:goodvibes

I think you must have scared the Inspector away after you got after him the last time. He seems to be lurking, not posting:confused3

Its not quite hunting season here yet. It starts on the 7th of this month.
I see deer everytime I go to town. I only saw one doe this morning though.
I think they are starting to hide because they know the hunters will be coming soon.

You tell Elmer I said to help you with those chores so you can post again soon:woohoo:

Kathy

The nice thing for us about cruising the week after Thanksgiving is gun season starts that Friday so we miss it and don't worry so much about deer running amok.

:wave2: Hi Jessie!

Good evening Nanas. Not much at the outlet mall for us today. Elizabeth came home with a bootee of clothes though!

Denise, Sorry to hear about the baby.

Wendy, Hope the fever goes down and stays down so your FIL can go home.

Thanks for the Hurricane Nana file Shell.

Not much else going on around here.

DD is so worried about missing a week of school that now I feel so guilty for taking this cruise this time of the year. They take so many notes in class in 6th grade. Going to talk to her teacher soon and see what we can do about this. Anyone with 6th or 7th grader have any suggestions or advice about what you might be doing?

Okay well time for bed for me in a bit so I'll check in tomorrow and see what all you guys are talking about.

I know I don't post all that often so it seems none of my questions seemed to get answered but here's another one for you guys...who is really going all out and formal for formal night? DH doesn't own a tux so we are just thinking of taking a couple of his nice suits. I was thinking of going dress shopping soon but not real sure what to look for long gown formal or what?

I have to give Jordyns teachers about a months notice and they should get her homework together for her. She will most likely have a ton!:headache: My goal is to have her work on it on the Wedneday and Thursday before we leave and hopefully she can get most of it done. I probably will not pull her out for a week again. It is just to hard on her. It is a lot of work!! We are thinking of cruising in November of 2010, but we will most likely go the week of Thanksgiving. That means DCL is out:guilty: , because it will be waaaaay out of our budget. I think we may look into RCL or go on Carnivals newest ship.:confused3

About formal night:My DH will be bringing a dark suit. He may even bring his fire department dress blues. I will be wearing a formal T length dress.

I also wanted to mention that we did have some very bad and upsetting news here yesterday.....my niece, lost her baby yesterday. She was 24 wks and was still born...she had a full abruption. So needless to say, we are all very sad. My niece herself at this point mentally wise is having a very difficult time with this.....so if I can ask again for some pixiedust directed her way, I would appreciate it......thanks and I'm glad that us nana's can stick together thru the good and the bad times.

Denise

Denise, so sorry to hear the bad news. We've been there and done that also and it took a long time to get over it. :sad1:

Here's some pixie dust for your family. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Morning Nanas, off to work for me too Okie and I am way tired. Yesterday was very busy for us. Plus Mike's dad wound up in the ER needing emergency surgery try dealing with that while working and it was crazy busy:scared:

His surgery went well and hopefully he can go home tomorrow.

Gotta run nanas

Wendy

Hey everyone....

First off, the important stuff. Denise,.... I'm really sorry to hear about your niece. I have no words because I just can't even fathom what that'd be like.:wizard: :wizard: for you and your family.

Nowwwww.....
Kathy? I never got an official rulebook but I'd like to change my vote, please. Someone made a big mistake and I'm on it......

Hope everyones having a great weekend. I'm still stripping wallpaper and spackling holes---finally getting the bathroom to look decent. I made us some shrimp/corn chowder for dinner and Woo did up a turkey breast....mmmmm (I bet its better than deer OR possum meat) This will really show my age---wasn't Pogo the lil dude in the cartoon strip a possum?

Ok.... time to go munch on some woo grub.
enjoy!

Hi mom! Sorry I haven't been around too much. Work is really really busy and I get weird (er) this time before the trip. I promise to do better.
