Sorry Bob. Didn't realize Sam the Eagle had political affiliations. Was just making a simple celebrity look-alike observation

.but she also wants to check out Rensselaer and that is in Albany.

Rensselaer is in Troy, across the river from Albany, and it's a very good school. When I was recruiting for (unnamed fortune 100 company) we hired many RPI grads. Pm me if she would like to talk careers. What is her proposed major?

Wendy - retirement is GREAT! We are SO glad we stuffed our 401Ks which make it possible, although the current economic climate isn't helping any. Been traveling 12 weeks so far this year with another 3 coming in November/December.

She is majoring in Mathematics...Yes, RPI is in Troy, but I say Albany. Why? :confused3 I don't know LOL

Eveing all:

This has been one hectic day for me......I have been on the run all day today.....mostly unplaned stuff.
My son calls me around 12:30ish and tells me, he and his girlfriend to his motorcycle out for a ride to downtown chicago, China town.....then he calls back a few minutes later and tells me he dropped his bike key down a sewer:scared1: ...if I could go to his place, get his spare key and drive to downtown, and bring the other key....well that was a good 3 1/2 hrs of driving back and forth:eek: ....but he did pay me gas money.....and he's going to finish my door signs tomorow for me.....

Well kinda quite around here today.....

Wendy thanks for sharing the pictures.....how is your house? everything fixed, up and running?

Bob & Lisa have a great trip.

take care all

If I bought a 1 day ticket for the day after Thanksgiving, I would be there before park opening. My fear is - if you wait until 5 pm, you'll be hit by a wall of people! Maybe they'll all leave after the 3 o'clock parade, but somehow, I'm doubting it. Turkey day itself wasn't too bad - I guess people are busy around the table and watching football.

Let me be the first to say good Morning!

Yeah, I hear you. I would love to get there earlier, but unfortunately our flight does not get to Orlando until 3:15PM. I did talk to DH today though, and we are thinking of just going to Downtown Disney the day after Thanksgiving, then stay a post cruise night at WDW, go to MK for the day then, when we'll have more time and a whole lot less people there on Dec 6th. That's a slow time, I think.

Thanks Woo, it is more clearer now..

Don't worry Bubba we save all our political chat for texting:rolleyes1

Denise sounds like you had fun last night

Cmom, hope you got to sleep amd didn;t have nana nightmares

BFF-IL, run fast now you can't let that slow chick get in front of you in the polls:thumbsup2

Mina, have a good time, I am not a roughing it kind of girl either, my version of camping is staying in a hotel that does not have room service:laughing:

Jeff, I knew HIM would come through for ME :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Hi Linda, how's Bruce and retirement treating ya?

Morning Bobby NY:woohoo:

Steph, we are wearing the Nana head tank top which is the Tshirt ALL the really cool nanaheads will be wearing on the first day, you can see it on the last page of your cruisemate list that Woo sent you.
Steph, do you and your husband ever get down to New Orleans?

So I am off to get ready I am going to Baton Rouge for the LSU game tonight. We are leaving around 1130 so we can tailgate before the game tonight at 7. So I will be MIA today Nanas.
Woo, I'll tell Kelley hi for you:rolleyes1

Thanks for letting me know about the T-shirt, I did check the website today and hope to order on Monday. I like the tank tops too, but I am a plus size gal, so will it fit me???

Yes, we love to go to New Orleans a few times a year. We like to go to eat there. We like K Pauls, Commander's Palace, Brennan's, and few others. We usually go in December for the High School Football finals. We also go to the Sugar Bowl too.

We are huge LSU fans too. I hope your having fun at the game and tailgating. We are having a get together right now at my Momma's to watch the game. We had tailgate food here. She lives in a small town near Alexandria. I am sitting here watching the game and checking the boards.

What part of New Orleans do you live?

Have A Good weekend!!

I need some advice here from previous Disney Cruisers...

For our flight home, we need to be at airport, MCO by 11AM. Is that possible using DME?

We are seriously considering staying a night after the cruise and flying home the next day, b/c our flight is pretty early and the CM told me when I gave here our flight numbers that it was going to be tough to make the flight. That we should stay over until Sunday.

Do you all agree? I'd hate to be stuck missing the flight with a 2 year old, if you know what I mean and no transportation either. Maybe we shouldn't chance it.
Thanks for the info.

Our flight is also 11 am and we are taking Disney's transportation back to the airport...In April we had a 10:30 flight and had no problem making it...The only problem is if you get into the port late, otherwise you are fine!

Where is everyone??? It's Saturday night and no one is on :confused3

What do you people have a life or something?

In light of the time it took us to get off the ship and through customs recently, I would DEFINITELY rethink those 11 am flights! Of course we had late breakfast, but even those who ate earlier were still standing in line to exit when we went down to breakfast - and we ended up just arriving at the Radisson parking lot in Cocoa Beach at 10 AM!

Hopefully that situation is not the new normal, because it was bad, but I think you're safer to be prepared for it. Camper, if you're arriving so late, why not just come on out to the Radisson and party with the Nanas?

Denise, my husband did the same thing with my mailbox key (WHY would they put the grate right in front of the mailbox???) anyway, the flashlight on the keyring was magnetic, so he managed to fish it out with a magnet on a string. That was VERY nice of you to do that drive for your son!
