Hope everyone is having a great time in Tn.

Put Hope down for her nap, started the beans and Mac. salad You forget how much their is to do with a 22 month old not to say I also have my 2- 20year old nephews They always come home with me aftedr the beach I guess Im the cool Aunt. They are up till 4am then Hope ges up at 8.am I am crazy

OK What's this TN thing that everyone is at. I have a lady on my team who lives outside of Chatanooga and she said her friends from Long Island always take these great vacations and then one year she took the family to Gatlinsburg and the kids still say that was their best vacation ever.

So tell me, what is so memorable about Gatlinsburg that 2 kids one pre teen and one teen would love so much? Please share, as I own a timeshare and can trade into TN if I wanted to.

Thanks Greg!! The big 4-9 . Eek Nope we don't own here. We found this place by an internet search about 12 years ago when friends of ours and us were looking for a place to go for a long weekend. Long story short, one of our friends bought an ocean front place here the next year and we come down every other year or so and rent a place and have agreat time hanging out.

Here's the fun (and depressing for me) part. When our friends bought their 2 bedroom plus den condo it went for about 175K. We never even considered it as money was tighter then. I could shoot myself. Similar units are now selling for 750 K.

believe it or not I haven't taken a photo yet! But will post something when we return. Bethany is just north of Ocean City Maryland and just south of Rehobeth Beach Delaware. It's an incredibly family friendly, somewhat upscale beach resort. There is a huge complex here (Sea Colony) where we stay that has beachfront and tennis village villas/condos. And then there are beach houses up and down the coast as well.

We just came back from the pool as it was too hot mid day for the beach. A nice breeze usually rolls in around 3 and people leave the beach around 4 to get ready for their evening activities. We plan to head down and hang out until sunset, then dinner, then fireworks that we watch from the beach around 9:30. Don't know if we'l make it though as the girls got up at 5:50 a.m. today!!!!!

OK so by replying I start working towards post 6666 LOL but there was no way I would stay at 5555.

I trade through RCI, very happy with RCI. I always get what I want and I am always trading in prime time...School breaks and summer.

What resorts do you own in? We own a 2 BR sleeps 8 in Vistana Resort in Florida.

Would that be the Sheraton Vistana Resort on International drive? If so, one of our timeshares is just a half mile up the road at Kingstown Reef Resort.

I'm considering trading into the Vistana because they're doing some refurbishment at the Kingstown Reef and I don't want to stay there with construction going on.

We're on the wait list with Interval International for one of the Disney Villas, but if it doesn't come through we'll probably end up at Horizon's by Marriott or the Sheraton Vistana. I wanted Marriott's Grand Vista resort, but they also have construction going on.

How do you guys like the Vistana?

Hi Okie,

Glad the neighbors dog was a little friendlier this time.

The shock collar reminded me of the time a buddy of mine got one for his dog to train him not to bark. (he had a big black lab).

Anyway, this shock collar came with a remote control with a button you could push to give the dog a shock every time you wanted him to avoid a certain behavior.

My buddy got the collar out of the package and inserted the batteries and said "I wonder how big of a shock this inflicts?" so he put it around his neck and hit the button... I had to help pick him up off the ground!!

Seems the collar had intensity settings...1-10 and he had it set to 10!!

Still plan to go to Bethany tomorrow with Joshua and try to catch a few minutes with Jeff/Mina.....weather keeps calling for thunderstorms....lets hope not!!

Rick plans to go look at motorcycles-he doesn't care for the beach that much

Hope the bears are being kind to the nanacampers ...gosh, we haven't had anyone check in....you don't think the bears ATE them do you

Vistana Resort is awesome, they have 7 pools, 4 restaurants, a general store, mini golf, tennis courts. Self contained, so you really don't have to leave if you don't want to. They have arts & crafts for the little ones. We love it. What other time shares do you own?

hummmm....I might have to change my plans for Nov. 27 & 28. We have reservations at Floriday's Resort for two nights before the cruise.

They have a great pool with a spray park for the kids, but no restaurant (just a bar and grill thing?)

We've got a few timeshares, but the ones we use the most are in Utah and Oregon.
