Actually the 8-12 year olds are split between 8/9 and 10-12 but they do combine a lot. I really hope they keep it this way.

I understand the desire to remove the 13 year olds from the Stack - but if they want to create a "new" category, I think they ought to take the 13 and 14 year olds and create a new category for them.

Oh Jeff, I sooo agree. I can't imagine Skylar, who will be 13 in January, in with almost 18 year olds. In fact, I probably wouldn't allow it!

I've had Elizabeth all morning. We watched the Toodles stories on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.com, read books and played with the ball. What fun! She's so happy now that we've figured out she has allergies! She's a whole different girl on Benadryl.

I agree too! Jordyn will be 13 next year. I would not want her in with 17 year olds. That is too much of a gap between 13 and 17.

Well I boxed of 4 boxes of stuff I don't need any more. The basement looks a little better. Still have more stuff to go through. Lots of old kids clothes. I need to go to Home Depot. We have a rental house and our renters just moved out. Tomorrow we will be doing some painting there. TTYL

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers everybody. This situation is really hard on Lisa. I called her when I headed out to lunch, and she was sitting at her desk crying at work.

Now, you ladies know us men. We may be the bu** of a lot of your jokes, but there is one thing we don't tolerate, and that is someone making our ladies cry. So, needless to say, I am not a happy camper right now. Lisa is just upset because she doesn't know what else to do, and I am in the same boat.

Sorry to be a downer today, but I don't understand how someone could treat a child like this.

First off:

Welcome Gailyn and Family....gland to have you joining us. This is a great group of people....the majority have traveled together before and so its like a little family re-union with losts of new additions
My name is Denise...traveling with my friend Sue. Booked this cruise on the 11/06 cruise and since then...got divorced but got to keep the trip in the divorce settlement!!!! So my friend Sue....(we went to highschool together) but we are still very very young was nice enough to come along with me...... and thats my story!!!!


Bob: really sorry to hear about this. It's so sad when the younger children are dragged into these things. But at least she was able to talk about it and express her feelings. So I will keep you in my prayers that everything works out..for everyone involved.

I wasnt able to read all the posts yet....will catch up when I get home this evening.

Didn't you just have a garage sale! The same thing happens to me. You get some of the stuff done and it looks so good you just keep going! It's too bad we don't get it done before the sale! Wait...with kids that's impossible!

For those worried about your 13 year olds being with 17 year olds, relax.

We have taken a teen twice and after the first evening ice breaker games to get aquainted both times the younger teens just naturally hung out together as did the older ones.

16 and 17 year olds DON'T want to hang with 13, 14 and 15 year olds. It is just natural for them to separate, plus counselors have always been in The Stack any time it is open. They interact with the kids all the time.

They do lots of cool things with the kids, scavenger hunts and brains verses brawn , dances, smoothie and pizza parties, movies etc...

Our teen was a grandaughter, and she loved it and we saw her many times with her new friends, they were all the young ones. She said the older teens go hang around the pool and chow down pizza or the guys seem to hang around the video games all the time. She never had a problem with the older kids and never saw anyone experiencing a problem.

I'm sure your teens will be the same way, the younger ones will just naturally hang out together, especially when they meet other teens on this thread. They will be in a small group, safety innumbers.


Now if this was the Carnival Glory I would say put a chain on them for safety ,
