Count us in at the bon voyage party!! I'm glad you guys got this started. I wanted to ask about it but thought everyone would think I was nuts asking so long before we sail. Looks like we all have cruising on our minds most of the time.

By the way .... is anyone staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise?

We are staying at the Best Western the night before the cruise.
DH just called DVC and had us upgraded from a cat. 8 to a cat.5 with a verandah, I am so excited. I know we will use it because our kids will ditch us for the kids programs! We are not bar people so it will give us plenty of alone time.

Lampskies--I check orbitz.com every now and then to check availiability of categories. Lots in each cat. left. We are paid in full so we'll see..........but not holding my breath as I know it's pretty random. Worst case scenario--I will just have to wake up the parents before sunrise to watch the sun come up from their verandah. Unless my dad would just rather give me a key to their room so they don't have to get up to get the door--I'll be really quiet, I promise.

Izzi- I'm looking at your hilarious signature and you haven't updated it to mine yet (i.e. Aug. 2003 AKL).
By the way pops, just checked my reservation on line and I got upgraded to room 8530--is this a good up grade from 2611??

Don't let DCL take advantage of you! I would stick with 2611 and tell them you dont want 8530. In 2611, you will have no problem getting Addie to take naps. It'll be nice and dark! If you go to 8530, you will have all that sunlight coming through all those sliding glass doors. 2611 is closer to the aft elevators and hence quicker to the restaurants and Mickey pool. Also it is only 1 floor below the atrium area. 8530 is 5 floors away! Hardly worth the upgrade! Granted, 8530 is a little larger than 2611, but by the time you figure how much space is wasted with that useless grand piano, its just about even. And who needs all those TVs on a cruise! No doubt about it, 2611 is the way to go!!

Thanks we found out where all the Novermber 29th cruisers are!

This will be our 2nd cruise, we were just Upgraded to a Cat # 9 from an 11. Will be staying at 2066 anyone else, we are bringing our 3 year old and 6 year old with us. I see we are looking at meeting at the Bon Voyage Party.

My family will also be on the 11/29 cruise. myself, DH, DS10, and DD6. We are so excited! I'm also nervous with this being our 1st time on a cruise. This trip has been in the planning for 2yrs....oh by the way we have late seating. Hope to meet a few of you all on the ship.

We are leaving the day after Thanksgiving early, will put ourselves somewhere close to Port Canaveral, we are jumping off from my Dads near Carbondale Il. Took us about 13 hours from there to the port.

We are located pretty close to you, from Bradley, IL. about 60 miles south of Chicago.

We are gonna stay at DTD the night before. Can't say whether its wise or not-- but I need a little Disney Marketplace shopping before we go!

Downtown Disney is an excellent place to shop, best selection, prices can be a little steep, for Christmas last year there were alot of gifts available to purchase. Best time to shop is when the stores first often, you almost have the entire run of the place.

DTD may be on the expensive side but it sounds like there might be time for a run to the Character Outlet at the Belz Factory Outlet Mall!!!!

Wile 13, hurray for another midwesterner, especially one from Illinois! We've met lots of IL cruisers. Welcome to the club! We're located about a stone's throw from the WI border. So close, you can even smell the cheese if the wind's blowing the right way.
