11/29/03 Eastern-only 2 days left !!! SINGLE DIGITS!!

Hi,

2 Adults 2 Kids, room 2004 I believe, and we were upgraded. This will be our 2nd cruise however the first with our 2 1/2 year old and a little nervous, Flounders will be very busy, any tips for making reservations with them as far as how much and how often? Should we plan to send him there for early dinner?

Also did we ever decide where we are going to meet all the people her on the Dis Boards?

I am SO excited. A girl I work with just got back from her first disney cruise and I was looking at her pictures! I want to go now! I don't pay mine in full till the end of the month so I don't know if we have been upgraded yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed! I know we are going to do the eagle Catamaran excurion on St. Maarten. We will book in advance. We are also considering doing one of the special cruises in 2004. They have 2 7day cruises that go to different places and then the 10 day cruise that is at Christmas time! I am thinking we need to do the 10 day! Who knows! I am ready! I won't start packing until the week before though!

Yes teh sail away party, such a great time, also looking forward to the 70's night, 80's night, so should we all wear like special color shirts or something for all the Dis'ers?

:p

Gassmandy........I see we have deck 10 on agreement now, which side of the ship? Port or starboard? I've been on the port side the last two times.

66 days left and all catagories still have availability!!!! I see the "navigators verandah" is now available to book thru DCL, I don't believe it was the last time I checked.........gassmandy...are you upgraded yet??????

Does anyone have any suggestions for the excursions? I know we are going to do the Eagle Catamaran on St. Maarten. We were thinking of taking the one to trunk bay, St John from St. Thomas. Although, I do not want to miss St. Thomas. Any suggestions? Also, has anyone ever done the stateroom gifts? I was thinking of purchasing one of the gifts to have in our stateroom for my husband when we got there. I just want to know if they are worth it? I want to surprise my husband since this is our 1 year anniversary trip! Thanks, Gina

If you were thinking of doing the St John snorkeling excursion, so the 5 star one, not the one that goes to the beach. I did that one and it was no fun. Also, those are in the morning and there is still the afternoon do see St Thomas (which I don't like very much....) Just my 2 cents!!

Oh yeah, I have never purchased or received a gift in the stateroom, but I have heard that Shirley from the perfect gift does a fabulous job...you might want to try her.

Lampskies--no upgrade yet.........but it sounds like you're rooting for me.....LOL! As far as side of the ship--I always get them confused--I like the side facing the terminal so as we sail out through the channel we can wave to everyone at Jetty Park. More fun than staring at just the water! But--I'm easy!

princssdisnygina--we had someone order the champagne and petit fours tray for us and it was neat--also had the fruit/cheese tray. Like Favorite Auntie said--I heard Shirley from The Perfect Gift has awesome stuff! Loved our stuff from DCL--nice way to kick off our vacation! Definitely order from one or the other. Shirley will work w/ you and customize a basket to your exact likings.
Getting closer......can't wait!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

DH and DS 7 and I will be sailing. We are going for our 10 year anniversary. This is our 2nd disney cruise. Our son is giving us a hard time about staying in the kids club while we go to dinner a Palo's.

It's easy to tell port from starboard. Port has 4 letters in it and so does left. Therefore starboard is the other one! And it's your left, or the driver's side, not facing at the ship. Of course that one only works if you're not in Australia, New Zealand or England!

So....the side facing the treminal as we sail away should be the starboard?!?!?!

Ok, we are meeting on deck 10 during the Sail Away Party, right? Is anyone planning on doing the lime green thing so the group is easily identified? ( I haven't been on a Disney cruise before so I don't know much about the deck 10 configuration, identifying may or may not be applicable, so I defer to you seasoned cruisers)

Lime green is not my color...if we pick midship, forward or aft we should not have a problem finding the group..

Any word on the website? If no one can do it I can ask my nephew to help this weekend... That way if we post pictures of the groups it will be even easier to identify everyone!:D

ok--still feel like a moron--left=port and right=starboard. Got that and hopefully will remember that cool trick (four letters). Now--like Favorite Auntie asked--would the side facing the terminal be the starboard side seeing as if I were to face forward as if the driver of the "car" --that would be my right side?? Cuz if I were facing back (aft--got that part down but "forward" is a dead give away), then the terminal would now be my left hand side--meaning port!! So to figure out sides--do we face forward in the direction the ship will be moving?? Meaning terminal side =starboard?? I promise I graduated w/ a 3.9 GPA. Still feel like a moron, though!

Favorite auntie--I think that would be cool--the website. I would have done it already if I weren't computer illiterate.

Yes, Yes you're correct. The starboard side will be facing the terminal because we pull straight out to sea. Now if we had to back up.....

I like the website idea. Kind of like this 10 most wanted on the post office site, huh?!? I can picture it now:

WARNING
Be on the lookout for these disboarders. Associating with these people could be dangerous as repeat cruising is likely to occur soon after. They can be spotted by their constant net surfing and propensity to seemingly overplan a trip. If you spot one of them, please turn them into the first DCL castmember you see!

OK, I called my nephew, but he is not home...I know he has set them up before, and he is a good kid, so I think he will help me. No promises though.

Gassmandy, I am now thoroughly confused!

No need for a green shirt for me......I'll be the one with the ESPN mug welded to my hand and the HUGE smile on my face knowing after three years waiting and one canellation we will finally be in route to St. Thomas, St. John etc....
