11/29/03 Eastern-only 2 days left !!! SINGLE DIGITS!!

LAMPSKIES,
Knowing Gassmandy as I do, I can assure you that her loss of a Navigator's Verandah will not cause her any pain and suffering. While she has not verbalized this yet, I am sure she has already planned her "free upgrade" and will become a homesteader in my cabin, 6618, or her sisters, 6610. So I'm sure you'll see her frequently as your part time neighbor! There is no doubt in my mind that she will somehow con us out of our Key to the World door keys. This observation comes from 20 something years of first hand experience.

HAHAHAHAHA! Actually you beat me to it there pops! I was going to tell Lampskies that you had offered me exclusive use of your verandah (and I think something about free baby-sitting service, too???).

Isn't that what grandparents come on the cruise to do....babysit?? I think there is some rule about that actually! My parents are going to be very busy with one 5 year old little boy!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Jason and I are very excited about our 7 day cruise and we are hoping for an upgrade like we got last time. We aren't in the room that much to pay the higher price for the bigger rooms. I would much rather spend the money shopping!! I think we are going to take the Eagle Catamaran trip in St. Maarten and are very excited about it. This will be my first trip to the Virgin Islands. We have been to the bahamas and all over the caribbean, but not there! I can't wait! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Ahhhhhhh ya, that babysitting thing again. It sounds to me like you had better no get back upgraded. It's sounds like it's going to be a noisy in that part of the ship. I'm sorry but I LOVE my verandah. A bloody mary while docking in the morning, and the sound of the waves hitting the side of the ship as I go to sleep at night as the ship is steaming towards the next port.....

Is it time to start figuring out where we are going to meat for the bon voyage party??????

I was wondering the same thing!! I was beginning to think we needed Verandah Man on our cruise to get things going!! We need to all meet up--after the lifeboat drill or whenever! (I don't think anyone will miss our group of 22 at the port, though!). Anyone have any ideas?? Just as long as it doesn't coflict w/ any college football games--otherwise my husband will be MIA!!

It would be cool if someone had a web page and we could start posting pictures of our families???!!!!??? I'm not that computer literate to do a web page--I CAN send digital pics. though. But I saw Verandah Man did this before their cruise--it was really cool!! Anyone able/willing to do this???

We fell to page 5!!! How did that happen?

I have no idea how to set up a web page either, but meeting everyone will be great! I just got a digital camera (for the cruise no less) and I am sure I could contribute a pic of the family!

I had my first cruise related dream last night, if I keep having them it will be the longest 81 days of my life!!!:D

I also have a digital camera and would be willing to post something. I would be able to establish a website but it may take a week or so. I can sure try if you all would like. Jason and I talk about our cruise almost everyday! I can't hardly wait any longer. A friend of mine is taking the 4 night cruise leaving this sunday, I am so jealous. Gina

Gina--that would be awesome if you could do a druise web page!!!!! Like I said--I have no idea how--but I loved the idea when I saw Verandah Man's. Keep us posted--I'll get pics. of our group!!

Boy, these threads drop like a rock if you don't add a reply fast!

It would be great to see someone come up with a website to post pictures and info on our cruise! Wish I knew how to do it! Now we need someone to volunteer to set up a Dismeet on board! I thought I heard my daughter Gassmandy volunteering! I think Favorite Auntie sounds like she would be good at that too.

Even my wife, who considers both Gassmandy and myself a little weird for spending so much time on the boards, said it would be neat to meet others on embarkation day!

Actually, my wife thinks I'm weird about a lot of stuff! (Had to put that in to beat Gassmandy to the punch)

I have never organized a meet before, but I could give it a try if no one else wants to do it. I guess I could just get a head count a couple of weeks before we sailed of everyone that wanted to be included and we could do a formal meet -like a brunch at Palo thing, or we could just all meet during the bon voyage party...OR BOTH! Any ideas on what people would want to do?

I think meeting during the bon voyage party would be easiest for everyone. Brunch at Palo's sound great but it'd be some trick to get us all with similiar reservations for a particular day and time not to mention that it would leave out those with little ones who would like to attend, too. I'll be watching to see what's decided in any case!

The bon voyage party seemed to the the choice of other cruisers. Deck 9 on the pool seems to be the place where everyone was dancing. I, was above on deck 10 looking down and taking some pics of DD's and DW partying it up!!! I met up with some people that we met at WDW. It was definately less crowded. We would never find each other on deck 9.

I like the idea of meeting at the bon voyage party, too. Our group of 22 has 8 couples--& 4 of the 8 have 1 or 2 kids. As it is, we're already trying to figure out Palo brunch/dinner schedules so all can go. All the kid-less couples will go to brunch together 1 day while the ones w/ kids go another, leaving the kids w/ the "kid-less" couples--if that made any sense!! Plus for shy people--the sail away party is probably the least intimidating!

Sounds like the Bon Voyage Party it is! Not much planning needed for that. We have 79 days to nail down a place on deck ....10? That was easy!

I am sure myself and bffitsu will make deck 10......but our DW's and my DD's may need a little more time on the "dance floor" ahhhhh that's why I got the late seating!!!! LOL

I would love to put faces with the names of people from this post. DH and DD are not shy at all, but as for me I am quit shy. They will probably be the ones making the most noise during the Bon Voyage party. My son and I will most likely be sitting in a corner somewhere watching everyone else dance and have fun.
:D
