Hi all!

Jeff, congratulations to your DD! That's a great accomplishment. I'm just happy my DD doesn't drown. :rotfl2: She has her mother's athletic ability. Poor child.

I'm back from an eventful night of sleeping on the floor of our state aquarium. It was a fun trip. Two of the girls escaped and went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. One of the chaperones saw them leave but didn't wake anyone else up. Her daughter is diabetic and was having a sugar issue. Umm, hello. All she had to do was shout and she would have had 4 other adults wide awake and moving. I just can't believe that I was actually asleep. Must have been sheer exhaustion.

We slept next to the shark tank, which was really cool. So when I wasn't sleeping I was watching them swim by all night. Of course my DD got this idea in her head that the glass was going to break and they were going to come and eat her (there were some very large ones). I told her they had to finish chomping on the Juniors in front of us and then through my butt before they got to her. So I figure I slept about 3 hours. :sad2: It's going to be a long day. Maybe I'll try to nap.

Next year, my princesses have decided they want to go to Great Wolf Lodge, the indoor water park. :rotfl2: The heck with educational, they want fun and comfort. :rotfl:

Sounds like your adventure went as well as it could. Glad the kids had a good time. I think that was great that you got to be by the shark tank.
That would look cool with the lights dimmed.

I vote water park next time:goodvibes

Kathy

thanks for all the kind words about Lizzie. She is still so excited and cant wait to pick up all her ribbons. She was even thinking of going to practice tonight (a night she doesn't normally go so she can actually have one night at home after school) to get them. :rotfl:

Busy busy week on tap for me. I have some writing to do for a new ciient, a strategic marketing plan to draft, a new business meeting this morning and another new business proposal on the horizon. Oh and I have to keep up with my current clients too.

Plus, my favorite sports team, the Pitt Panther basketball team is going to be number one when the polls come out today. It's going to be a great week.

Happy monday all.

Jeff, i got tired just reading about your schedule this week:lmao:

No plans here for the week. Just waiting to get the paper work to fill out to try and refinance our house before buying a second house to use as a rental.
We need to get all that done before we move back, so we may not get to go back until the end of May, but thats ok. It will be worth it:thumbsup2

It is still pouring rain, going to be that way all week and the wind is coming this afternoon:sad2:

I am thinking about making cinnamon rolls today but its so hard to get it warm enough for the dough to rise up. I may do cookies instead. Decision, decisions:lmao:

Well I decided to post a couple of photos to brighten the morning.

For those who have dogs you know how they sit. NOT my dog. This is how she sits all the time. We dont help her get in this position, she does it all by herself, all the time, crazy dog:rotfl2:

This is what happens if Greg tries to lay back and relax on the couch, he always has company;)

later all, have a great Monday,

Kathy

Good morning everyone! Happy Fat Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, Paczik Day or whatever you call it!!

It's Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day for us. We will be going to DD's school for pancakes tonight. Unfortunately they are not on my diet and I will eat my yummy protein bar. :headache: 20 more pounds and maybe I'll try one or two again. :yay:

Okay, back to work so I can pay for my Disney addiction. Enjoy your day all!

Hello Nannas!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

Kathy, great pictures. Makes me wonder who really ownes the couch!!!:rotfl:

Morning all,

Brantley the dogs defiantley own the entire RV. Couch, chairs and bed:lmao: :lmao: . They are so big that they really take up a lot of room.
When Greg gets home they want to sit or lay where ever he is.
They think they are tiny lap dogs and both will try and get on his lap at the same time:rotfl2: It gets pretty funny most days.

The minute he gets home they run to meet him at the door, then they play fight all the way to the kitchen in front of where he is walking. They jump, growl, hair raised up. Generally go nuts until he puts down his lunch and brief case so he can pet them. Then they wait to see where he is going to sit so they can race to get their first. They even push open the bathroom door to go and sit by him in there:rolleyes1 No privacy here with those crazy dogs.

well its pouring rain, lots of wind and in the low 40's. with the wind it feels like 30. Of course the wonderful odor of wet dog after a bathroom break is always a welcome event each day:eek: Thank goodness for doggie wipes!!

No plans here today, gotta pay the rent today but thats it. Of course that means walking about 1/4 mile in the pouring rain to do so and back again. I could drive it but it makes me feel so lazy to even think it. The walk is not the problem its walking in the wind and pouring rain:sad2:

Thats right it is Mardi Gras time isnt it. Being in Oregon I dont think much about it. Thats a bit too much partying for me, but people sure seem to love it.
Good luck on the 20 pounds.:thumbsup2
My brother started loosing weight in January and has lost 16 pounds so far. It is hard ,but when it comes off slowly it stays off easier too.

I know from experience. I lost 112 pounds once but it was due to illness. I tried for years to loose the weight then got sick and lost too much. But it has stayed off after 25 years and i am happy about that.

Bob, a man who usually cruises with the nanaheads went on weight watchers and has lost over 100 pounds. He looked great on our cruise last November.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!
Dont work too hard, the week is just beginning.

Actually, I've been seriously watching my weight for 15 months now. The 20 pounds is what I have left. I've lost way to much for me to even mention on the boards. :scared: The number is now too scary and most people go :scared1: . So 20 pounds should wrap it up. I'm hoping to get there by the cruise. I'm watching what I eat but not being crazy about it now. Pancakes and syrup still aren't in the diet though. Thanks for the good thoughts. I can use all of them.

Thats awesome that your down to 20 pounds. You should be proud of yourself.:goodvibes I don't care what anyone says. Loosing weight is just as hard as stopping smoking, maybe harder. Our society is built around eating.
Hopefully by the crusie you can reward your achievement with pancakes one morning;) We make a habit of walking around deck 4 at least 3 times after each meal. After dinner is the hardest because we want to dash to the show. So sometimes we have to do it after the show. Thats why I always take a jacket! If it is rainy we walk deck 9 because it is mostly under cover and it cant blow in like deck 4. Maybe we will see you walking there too?

Oh my gosh, the clouds just opened up and is dropping buckets of rain. It is so loud on the RV you cant hear yourself think:scared: I hope that doesnt last too long!!

Kathy

I actually lost 6 pounds on the last cruise and I ate whatever I wanted. :rotfl2: My DH's eyes bulged when I told him how much I lost.

I think I have been on a diet so long that my body was like "heavy cream sauce??? carrot cake??? Mickey bars??? YAHOOO!!!" So I ate on the cruise and just started back eating right when I got home. Not to worry, I did NOT deny myself.:rotfl: :rotfl:

And don't you just hate the sound of heavy rain on the RV's roof? We bought our RV in Jan 07, our home flooded in April 07 and my worst memory is of it parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot listening to the rain pound on the roof all the while knowing that my home was going under. But on a positive note, we had a place to live for 3 months while the house got re-built (we moved it back to the property once the water receded).

Goah I am glad you could rebuild your house. That must have been aweful.
we have been in the RV for 10 months now. Should be back in our home on June1st, well actually we will be cleaning and painting the inside first, then back in, so maybe the 7th of June. Will send for our furniture to arrive on the 7th or 8th too. YEAH!!

Loosing 6 pounds on a cruise is a feat in itself;) Congrats on that!!:thumbsup2

Good night everyone,

Kathy

Bringing us back from page 2. Good morning all.

I'm tired of cold weather and ready for spring. When is it going to get here?? :cold: :cold:

I am with you!! I am more than ready for spring, better yet summer:goodvibes It has been raining for the last 48 hours straight, no breaks. It just get lighter then heavier again:sad2:

Tomorrow they say we shoul get up to 2 inches of snow, so our temps are dropping drastically today and tonight. The foot hills that surround us are suppose to get 6 to 7 inches tonight and tomorrow:scared:

We are suppose to be done with that kinda weather:rolleyes1

I WANNA GO HOME TO FLORIDA !!

Of course then I will complain about the humidity:rotfl2:

Have a good day everyone,

Kathy

Kathy - That is way too much snow and rain for me. At least NJ is usually dry in the winter. We just get cold. I think its supposed to be a little warmer for us tomorrow. Of course when I leave its dark and when I come home its dark so I miss the middle of the day nice weather. Oh well, the job pays for the Disney fixes.

I have a question, does this group do Fish Extenders? No one on my last cruise did them so I never bothered to buy one. I just want to start planning if this crew does them. I'm an anal retentive planner. Good thing my DH is the same way.:rotfl:

I'm off to bed. My ear is bothering me and I really hate ear pain. And the dang dog has taken up grunting in her sleep. :confused3 I think I need to leave the room because she's driving me crazy.

Yes we did fish extenders all 3 years we cruised together. I am sure if we ask the group as it grows they will want to do that too:goodvibes It really is fun and doesnt cost that much to do.

As people join us we will mention it and when we get a cruise mates list put together we will add a section that lists all those who want to do it and their room numbers for us to print off. That way everyone who wants to do it can.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Jeff, Brantley, and the rest of you are you interested in doing the FE gifts again this year??

Speak up fellow cruisers. Bev how about you??

Good night all,
Kathy
