I would love to here more about Discovery Cove...always wondered if it was worth the money??

We never had a bad time at WDW last December but it sure did not live up to pass trips...we found a lot of CM's rude especially at the restaurants and on the buses but thought it was because it was very busy and because we had such wonderful service on DCL.

Did you like the Spiderman ride at IOA... it's our family favorite.

Discovery Cove was very expensive, but I'd do it again! :woohoo:

Because they only allow a certain number of people in per day it was very quiet and peaceful.

The lazy river was heated and was just perfect for Brayden and Holly.

The coral reef was simply amazing!! :cool1: I've never seen so many fish and sting rays before. The best snorkeling I've ever done!!!

We had a private cabana that had its own mini fridge stocked with all kinds of beverages and snacks located right next to the dolphin lagoon! :woohoo:

We had an employee who would come by our cabana every 30 minutes and tiddy up and restock us with drinks, snacks and pool towels. It was so private and hidden (back in the tree and shrubs) that if you didn't know where it was you probably wouldn't find it.

The dolphin swim was ok, but that's probably one thing I wouldn't spend the extra money on again.

At IOA we didn't really have a "family" favorite. Holly and Brayden loved the Dr. Suess area and Grinchmas!

Chayce and I rode the "Hulk" and "Duelling Dragons" about 20 times.

I guess the ride we could all ride (except Holly) that we all enjoyed was Jurassic Park.

At Universal we loved "The mummy returns", "The Simpson's", Shrek 4D and T2 3D and Brayden and Holly couldn't get enough of the Woody Woodpecker area and Curious George.

We are having crazy weather here too. It's going to snow again. 10" of snow expected above 3000'. Should be an interesting drive home.

So Greg, what was it that you hated about WDW? We like Universal and IOA but never find them better than WDW when it comes to service.

Morning all,
Greg Kracken is Gregs favorite roller coaster. He ahd our grandaughter rode it around a few times without having to get off once, they just loved it!!

Did you see the Clyde and Seymour show? I love that show.

Janel took the kids to see the show and video taped it, but Chayce and I stayed and rode the Kracken another dozen times!.....there was no line to ride it, but they still made us get off and go around to ride again. :sad2: Universal just let us stay on! :woohoo:

Kracken was by far the funnest coaster we rode.

Chayce and I both rode on "Expedition Everest" at Animal Kingdom and when the ride was done we both looked at each other and said "that was it??"

Rockin' roller coaster at Hollywood studios was fun, but we tried to get a fast pass to ride again, but the next time open was 5 hours later. :sad2:

Yeah we said the same thing

Welcome to WDW:sad2: :sad2:

Hi Christine!

Well for those of you that got to know us on the ship. We're very easy going and easy to please, but at WDW I'd never met so many rude employees in my life. Most of the time I felt like we were cattle being herded to the next watering hole.

It was almost like they were purposely going out of their way to ruin our vacation.

Oh, I'll pick this up once I get back. My wife just said we need to get into the tire store to get her snow tires on.

Be back in a few...........

It's very sad. I have heard this a lot lately. I have been to WDW where the employees have been outstanding and I have been there when they have been terrible. I think it's all the cutbacks :sad2: I hope they get their act together by next year.

It's funny with the economy the way it is you would think people would be going out of their way to keep customers but it seem the opposite is happening and I don't just mean at WDW, it's everywhere. All I can say is I don't have much money to spend right now but when I do spend my money I better get amazing customer service or I'll go somewhere else...ok off my soapbox now

That's interesting...we found it that way last year too...we have been many times before and have always had the best service...we were always amazed how friendly everyone was all the time...but it was so different last December.:confused3

Greg...I'm glad you said that about Disney. Samantha loves the big rides but we don't, she was excited when I told her about the amusement park in Ohio, she knew all about it, I'm having a senior moment and forgot the name. So we are either going to go there this summer or Hershey park. We'll Keep it inexpensive compared to Disney, have our first DD going off to college in September.
