Yes. I have off Sunday & Tuesday. I only have to work Tuesday on a holiday week unless Tuesday is the holiday. Staff meetings are always on a Tuesday morning once a month though.

Hows your weather, any snow??

Dawn is getting snow today:eek:

I am just cold and foggy, no rain right now, thank goodness:goodvibes

we may get snow towards the end of the year, January through March if we get any.

Got to get laundry and cleaning done today. This past week my time off wasn't my own and I got nothing done around the house. Thank goodness my DH is good at keeping up with stuff, too. He's a good cook and does a passable job with the laundry and dishes.

Temperature is 45, but it is windy and supposed to get windier by tomorrow. That makes for a wind chill and it feels much colder. Rained yesterday, but is dry today. Supposed to start raining again tomorrow. Oh, the aching bones.

Split days off are hard. I use to have them and never seemed to get anything done.
Are you staying busy or has the bad economy hurt you too?

It is really bad here. People are not getting their hair done nearly as much as they use to. My SIL is a beautician too.

I know the feeling. Since we moved back to Oregon I feel aches in places i didnt know i had:rotfl2:

I like having off on Sunday with DH. Tuesday I am home by myself and I don't have to go in till 5 on Wednesday so I basically have 2 days off in a row to get things done. This week was an exception. DD wanted her hair color done on Tuesday morning cause she gets off from work at 8 am and had no classes. DS also needed a haircut. After that I went to the gym and then to my Mom's lawyer to sign some of the last paperwork from her estate. Then we had a Boy Scout committee meeting in the evening. Wednesday morning I had a class at work and then came home and worked on the bills. I started doing my checkbook on the computer a few months ago and I am still working out the kinks.

So nothing else got done.

Business hasn't been too bad yet. I'm still making my quota for my salary, but rarely make much bonus. The 2 years have been a little rough. The owner of the salon I worked for for 23 years sold out and the new company is different in many ways from what we were. We are now the newbies and a lot of our former customers don't know that we are still there because we were only given a 2 week notice before the change. The name changed and people who did call a lot of them just hung up when they heard the new name. Was just starting to build again when my Mom passed and then I just didn't care for a while. Just worked each day till I finished my last customer and went home early if I didn't have anyone else booked.

At 55 it is a lot harder to start over, so I am just sticking it out till DH decides to retire. Then, hopefully, we will be working for Disney at least for the winters.

Laundry here and maybe rearrange the living room to make room for our new, small 4' Christmas Tree.

Sounds like a plan :thumbsup2 That's what I want to do, too!

Hi Kathy, Hi Bev!

Snow basically melted now and has stopped snowing for the moment. Tonight, when it gets cold we are supposed to have 1 - 2 inches!

Have got the door signs done! One more thing checked off the list!
One more time of cleaning the house (you know, the big one--changing sheets, etc) then I'm even done with that for a few weeks! :woohoo: The next time I clean will be December 14th. Doesn't that sound grand! I imagine, I'll have to dust when we get back but a quick flick of the wrist! I think that is one of the best things about vacation! It's not my job when I'm on vacation! :cool1: :cheer2:

Even one more grocery to buy, I'm getting excited just thinking about what I don't have to do... :woohoo:

Knees are killing me with this weather. I've been getting out of bed really early because they hurt  I actually forgot about the arm :lmao: I'm sure it was from carrying Kofi! He's 30 lbs of dead weight!

You should ask your doctor about trying some Prednisone. I think it works like a powerful anti-inflamitory.

Not sure how it would work on you, but its worth asking about?! :thumbsup2
