I keep forgetting to ask... since we are sailing the week after Thanksgiving, is the ship decorated for Christmas?

Chuck :goofy:

Last year we went at the same time and the year before that
and I believe both years the ship was decorated, I know last year it was for sure. But they did have to finish up the gingerbread house. It was done by day 2 of the cruise.

we stopped and watched them some and it smelled soooo good!!

we also signed up to decorate gingerbread houses as an activity on board.
ask the first day as guest services desk if they are doing this and if you can sign up for a time. sometimes you can sign up early before it fills up.

They give you all you need. You can take it back to the room and eat it or donate it to the crew but you cant take it off the ship. It really is a fun project to do.

CC was completely decorated to the extent for what they do. Mostly the dock area and the tram. One time we had carolers as we got off the ship singing by the post office which was really nice. I got it on the cam corder.

One year we did a 3 day cruise the first week of December and they even had santa Goofy riding a Ski Doo around the water area.

Chuck those are great pictures.
I havnt seen the new Nemo show yet. I liked the old show Tarzan rocks but just havnt timed it right yet to see the new nemo show. It looks really bright and colorful. how was it? worth seeing?
I also havnt done the Nemo stuff at Epcot at the Living Seas exhibit.
last time I went it was open but they had a problem so you could go and see the aquarium but not see the nemo stuff and ride through in the clam shell.

years ago you could ride through the aquarium part, I'm sure its the same, just different style of seats.
when we get moved back to Florida I will check it out.

Greg,
you got me worried today.
Usually you post if your going to be gone all day:confused3

I am hoping you and your family are out having fun somewhere and that nobody is hurt or ill.

Hope we hear from you soon.

Kathy

Great pictures everyone!!! They look great.

The ship should be decorated for Christmas. It was the week after Thanksgiving last year and it really looked good. It puts you in a holiday mood for sure.

Hey Kathy, since we are going to do a short trip this year, what are the 3 day cruises like?

I am considering either a week at the parks in a value or a 3 day cruise. It looks like they would be close to each other price wise.

Oh well, if you are not going to stay around and talk, I will just keep posting until I get the Top of the Page!!!!!!!

Maybe not!!!!! If Kathy would have stayed around and posted with me I would be there already!!!!!!!!

Hey Brantley!
Hope you and yours are doing well!

We are at Bethany Beach, DE for a long weekend vacation but on our way home tomorrow. :sad2:

Had pretty good weather. Blazing hot the first two days. Then a day of rain and gloom. Today was decent - great morning and then threatened storms a couple of times that closed the pools and had them clearing the beach..but we still got in a lot of beach time.

Say hi to Cierra from Lizzie.

Hi jeff,
good to see you posting. I know your allhaving a great time.
we have a new person on the 08 board. dont know if its a couple or family.

catchya on the other board.

Kathy

Brantley,
we love the 3 day cruises. It is like a 3 day weekend to us.
But after doing the 7 day it feels like it goes by too fast.:sad2:

They do have the new Toy Story show which is NOT on the Magic.
we have done 8 or 9 3 day cruises.

A few things are different. Basically the lay out is exactly the same, just a different theme in the club area and the nice eating restaurant. One is Tritons, one is Lumiere's.

You only have one port Nassau. many dont like Nassau and will stay on the ship.
I like Nassau.
When we go on cruises we go to see different cultures and how they live as well as the geographic differences and such. Many are turned off because Nassau isnt as clean or nice new buildings like other islands. To me it is seeing a different way of life and makes me more thankful for mine.

All the people we have met were so nice and friendly.

There are several great excursions there as well as exploring on your own.

Atlantis has an awesome aquarium. floor to ceiling windows for excellant view for all ages. Tour takes over an hour and they move fast. some is outside and inside. But when its over you can go back through at your own speed and really enjoy it. Plus you can see the magnificient architecture of the inside of atlantis.

the 2 hour historical city tour was great and I am NOT a history buff at all.
we saw Queen Anne's staircase, 2 forts, one of which had a guided tour because it was really in great shape. It was like a mini van, so we were in small groups which was really nice.

we also took a tour of the bay which showed us all the multi million dollar homes of the stars,
from the water taxi.
another time we did on our own the Pirate museum which was $12 per adult and $8 per kid. allow about an hour. It is self guided and very interesting, but the first part is really dark. It is a night scene on a pier but after that it is well lite again. usually a pirate greets you to take your tickets and watch and rings if you dont watch him.Ha Ha!! Some really get into their part, others don't. But is they seem extra nice, tease them a little and they will really get into being a pirate for you.
This is about a 10 minute walk from the ship, it is a large purple building 2 blocks behind the strawmarket which is on the road along the water front. You can seeit from deck 10.

There is a horse and carriage ride on the first road too. as you exit the security building at the port , everyone has to turn right on the side walk which takes you to the first road, the horses are on your left, straw market to your right 5 blocks. You cant miss them.
These carriges look run down a bit but it is still fun to do, because we just dont get to do this sort of thing at home.
They charge per person and the amount is according to how long a rid eyou want. Last time we did about 25 minute for $15 each. they do narrate but it is hard to hear them due ot the traffic noises. But it is well worth doing once.
we took our grandaughter onit last year and she loved it. she sat by the driver.

so yes the 3 day are fun and well worth doing. Right now check allseas travel and dreams unlimited for prices. There are lots of specials out there this year.

Plus since your a repeat cruisers there will be a gift waiting for you in your room.

of course the parks are fun too??

Kathy

Man, that was a lot of work!!!!

I'm getting a little rusty!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

just think of it as finger aerobics:lmao:
Look at all the exercise your getting. This is so good for peoples health.
Great for the old cardio vascular system , not so good for the back side:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
