Lisa, great photos!! Thanks for sharing. I have the same toaster, plus the pop corn popper, waffle iron, and cookie cutters and cake molds. They are so much fun to do for a change.


Lots of errands to do today, plus visit my mom for awhile so got to go, but will be back this afternoon, maybe I can grab top of the page before Dawn gets there

I made a fish extender for a couple from England that went on a cruise in March. They were very excited also. They spent a week in WDW just like you!

someone posted on the other thread wanting to know if we had any teen boys? I said I thought one of your boys (Skyler) would be a teen byt then, but I wasnt sure.
If so you may want to let them know.

They are thinking of changing from 11/8 to our cruise.

What's a fish extender?

Will I need one? Any pics anyone.

I want the waffle iron but we haven't got enough room in our kitchen.

Dawn will show you a picture of her extender, I dont have mine handy.
Basically , you have a metal fish outsid eyour door that people can place notes in for you. The extender is an extension of that. It hangs over the fish and hangs down with 2 or 3 pockets on it for people to place gifts in for you and your family. You can decorate it anyway you want to.

If you do this we will have a list made up of everyone from our group participating and their room numbers then sometime during the cruise you senak around to their rooms and leave a gift in their extender, many leave a Christmas card too. so those who give a gift to each person will receive a gift from each person.
nothing expensive, we give candies, disney themed pencils for kids, all manor of dieny themed items you find in party shops. party favors are great for the kids. some give pirate themed pencils, eye patches, little hand held games, crazy straws etc... You get the idea. Just keep inmind if the room has kids and their ages and try to leave something for each kid if you can. Candy and gum are always welcomed gifts.
Teen boys are hardest but I like to give football or baseball cards, you can often get them for $1.00 at Walgreens dollar table. also tiny books and color books for $1.00 work well too.

There is a web site with tons of extenders for you to look at, I will try to find it for you.

Lisa, go to this thread and scroll down through lots of posts and stop when you see photos . There are a few of fish extenders so you can get the idea.
If you dont want to make one, Dawn does an awesome job of making them and selling them at a very reasonable price. A few people on our 08 thread have bought from her.

sorry this is sideways. It is laying down so the glue can dry. But the disney characters are just ones I got at a scrapbooking store and glued on.

Rainy and cool day here in Michigan--suppose to do this all day. We do need the rain though. David (my ex) is making mushrooms and frying up some fresh fish for dinner this afternoon! YUM! He's finding morel mushrooms by the bags!

My present for mother's day is to NOT change the beds today and do laundry, and clean the floors and pick up the rooms, and clean the bathroom like I usually do on Sundays! I'll throw it all in for Monday!

Finally back indoors after my weekend in the sun its so nice to have good weather for a change think i have slightly sunburnt shoulders now though. Gotta do some wii fit soon but cant be bothered and i am starving marvin so need to find some food.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hope everyone is doing well! We went to an awesome fundraiser today for an amazing family from our church adopting a daughter from Russia. They are so sweet have one daughter and have lost 3 others - one at 3 mos old and the others to miscarriages. Heartbreaking but such a reaffirmation of the goodness of people to see everyone get together to help them out. Must be the day but I am like 20 seconds away from tears all day!?!

Anyway - so lots going on I see. Send out lots of pixie dust for all of the job searching and house selling/renting! Totally jealous about the Italian holiday! That is the top of my "Bucket list" I want to go to Tuscany sooooo badly! Someday.......

Going to bed now before I cry again!

Hi Gang!
Hope you enjoyed Mother's Day! It was in the 60's here today but the sun was shining so it was pretty nice.

Dawn, for the next cruise I'm going to buy a fish extender from you. I'm just not a sewer.

On the November cruise we just used a felt Christmas gift bag and it worked good too. All the little gifts people gave the boys really added fun to the trip. I also thought that the door tag game we played was fun and it gave me a chance to see how everyone had decorated their doors.

Well... the kid's really wore me out today so I'm going to head to bed!
