Mel, maybe Chris & my Bill can start their own DIS DH support group! He was gone Wednesday night when the 2009 dates first came out and I called him to ask if I should book one of the secret porthole rooms since they appeared to be available. Of course, he was not as excited as a good husband should be. You'd think he'd just finished a DCL cruise. . .

The feedback I got from him was "if we're going to have a room with daylight streaming in, it may as well be a verandah room." Otherwise, he finds the inside cabins to be fine. Can you see where this is going?????? Can you guess what cabin we'll probably end up booking?????

Time to get some super-powered Miracle Grow for our money tree!!!!

Hi Cheri-
Wellll... you won't get that secret porthole room because according to my TA I just took the last one. Last night I looked up the room they had given us on deck 2 and wasn't too thrilled when I figured out it was pretty much right below Rockin Bar D.

So I was gonna change it to another room further back and then thought about the secret porthole rooms so just asked. We got one of the ones closest to the forward elevator (deck 5). I hope this won't be too high up as far as motion sickness goes, but hopefully we won't have the rocky seas we had this year. It will be a western and everything I read is usually the westerns are less likely to be rocky than the easterns.

Yeah... Chris wouldn't even talk about it. Just rolled his eyes. Believe me I understand. Don't they know you have to grab your opportunites early to save $$. Duh!

Well, I hear screaming in the other room so I'll be back later.

Wendy... sounds like a lot of us have a similar problem with the DH's. I told mine about the secret porthole I procured and he was like "it's 2 years away..."

I know, but you have to book them that far away to get them! I mean I realize anything can happen in 2 years... because my last cruise was moved 3 times...but why rain on my parade?

we arnt sure about the 09, depends on Gregs job, but we will try.

Going to do a little Christmas decorating today and then work with Pixie some more. She is still afraid to leave the house after being lost a couple months ago. Poor baby is having a terrible time.
She will go in the car but gets nervous still, but we cant get her to walk, even out to the drive way on her leash. She starts shaking really bad, then sits down with ears down, head down and tail between her legs and will sometimes pee from fear.
I think we have our work cut out for us with her, this will take a few months I'm afraid.

She told me it was for 4 and in the review I read they had a family of 4 in the room. Might make a difference which one you get because some don't have steamer trunks. According to the review this one does. It's 5024.

i think it's the "secret verandah" rooms that are only for 3 as I tried to get one of those for the 09 to Tortola and the DU rep told me I can't with four.

Yep, the secret porthole rooms on 5 can sleep 4. We did it in July 07. The kids had a blast switching beds.
