Hi all,

Just a quick breakdown of the total so far to help with planning (also this is approx as I have 2 participants and the only details I have for them are there dis user names)

Staterooms - 15
Adults – 25
Children – 13
Male kids ages – 3, 13, 17
Female kids ages – 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 8, 8, 11, 12

Once you have your stateroom numbers please send them through along with any other info you would like to include (for example birthdays or anniversaries, first time cruiser)

Hi everyone.

Nessa - thanks for organizing the FE exchange!!! Your work is most appreciated.

To everyone: Don't forget to let me know if you are going to attend the cruisemates meet on the first day at 2:45 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge - just before the boat drill. I'm compiling a list of attendees that will include DIS names, real first names of everyone in your group and kids' ages (I can put your age in too if you want!) :)

If you haven't already responded, please do so soon. I plan to get the list together in the next couple of weeks after we see if there are any additions to our little group - and then hope to send it to everyone who responds in early November.

Getting closer now! Disney, take me away!!!!!

Hi All,

Jeff i'll let you know closer to sailing if we can make it, as I have a sneaking suspicion that we are meeting with our onboard coordinator then, but we won't know till 30 days prior to sailing – this is the only downside to a DCL wedding – nothing is confirmed till 30 days prior to sailing , which definitely makes things interesting considering our trip commences on the 13th November from Australia :scared1:

Also quick question re DCL pricing – for a cat 6 cabin (which I believe has a veranda) on our cruise $3300 for two people. Does this sound good / reasonable / great / terrible / standard :confused3 ????

Nessa - I sent you a PM with our cabin number.

Can't help you with the pricing as we used DVC points this time.

Does this price include trip insurance, transfers to and from Airport/WDW hotel, fuel surcharge? Any of these things can make a diffence in the price.

DH & I are in a Cat6 (Yes it has a verandah). We rebooked onboard last year with the 10% discount, no transfers, no trip insurance (bought that thru AAA instead of DCL), but with a fuel surcharge of $112. Our total was $3079. So looking at that, if yours includes any or all of those things, that sounds just about right.

What happens if we get there and pay for an upgrade, how will people know that we've moved to a new cabin?

Hi Everyone

I need a huge favor and it is going to sound odd – was anyone not planning on making an evening Palo reservation for the cruise? If so could you please send me a pm – I desperately need your help :worship::worship:

Good point, I didn't think about that, it's includes transfers but not insurance - so it's probably ok then.

Can I make a suggestion – if you were thinking of trying for an upgrade, before you leave home you could print a little note from your pc saying “Hi it’s Erin2470 our cabin number was XX was but now its XXXX happy sailing” and you can hand write in the new cabin number. Then just drop it off at all our cabins, that way we will all know where you have moved too

Those are good ideas for the room change, planning on going to the dis meet, and I'll make up little cards just in case, thanks.

Just stopping by to say hi (and avoid work for 5 minutes ;) ). :)

Hope everyone is having a good week. I can't wait for this cruise. As soon as the weather turns colder I swear I'm going to break out the suitcases and start packing. Knowing me I'll probably be packed by Halloween. :rotfl2: Come on cruise - get here faster.:banana::banana:

Hello All,
Hope you are all doing well and getting excited for the cruise. I have a question for those veteran cruisers. I have been waitlisted for main dining since I made my reservation, what do you think the odds are of us getting into main dining. It won't ruin our trip either way, but eating dinner with a 3 year old at 8:00 could be a challenge. I know she could go to the club, but just in case she doesn't like it I figured main seating would be better.
Thanks all and have a good night,
Kim :yay:

First off, if you just go to the designated place for dinner rotation changes/palo reservations as soon as you get on the ship, you should have little problem getting changed to main. We know people who have been able to do this on nearly every cruise we have been on.

Secondly, IMHO there is no easy solution to the dinner with little kids question. Early is too early because then you have to rush and end your day early and then you are in the "night time" mode - dinner, show, maybe some family fun at Studio Sea, then bed. Our little one is not a huge fan of sitting down for dinner in a restaurant. Mostly she is fine but when given the choice, she opts out. She'd rather eat something at the fast service places or room service, then go to the club. Usually she'll go to the dining room first night and then opt out. Our older daughter is much more of a good traveler, likes the whole experience, etc. but she even sometimes opts out and goes to the club. I like late dining because it extends our daytime hours. So if we are in port, we don't have to rush to get back for dinner. Then we don't have to rush to get read and can go to the pool or do something fun for the whole family (like disney trivia in the promenade lounge, for example) before going to dinner. After many cruises of insisting on early dining, we finally tried late and realized the whole timing of everything just works better for us. Ultimately it will probably be something you have to figure out for yourself. Please know that if you go to late dining the first night and find it is is impossible, talk to the dining manager and he/she will do everything possible to get you a change.

While I'm here.... Please remember to let me know if you are planning to attend the cruise meet at 2:45 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge on day one (Saturday). Just send me a private message along with names and ages of kids.

Here is a list of DIS names I have so far who have said they will attend:

Hi Everyone!
I have been MIA for a while because I was not sure if this was going to happen. It has been very stressful since July 30th or so trying to get passports. My mom was denied twice. Not enough documentation- we finally got it- she was born and raised in Mass.I know we don't need them but being over cautious I wanted them.Ugh! What a hassle!

OK so she got her passport on Wed. now we can celebrate and start packing!LOL!

Not sure about the meet because my DDs- 18 and 15 think this whole Disboard thing is nuts. They can't relate. They think I am nuts when it comes to Disney.OK I am!So not sure what we will be up to.They seem to be the oldest kids in this bunch here.My parents and brother will also be with us.

Have to play it by ear.

Getting really excited!
Linda

Linda, I'm glad you got the passport thing taken care of. And about the meet, let the girls explore and you come and meet us! :thumbsup2

Alright everyone, at this time - 2 months from now, we will be boarding the ship!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I can't wait! I really need a vacation. :goodvibes
