11/27/04 the sequel.....

Well, I'm finally starting to pack, finish up my door signs and made a final run to Target today for some OTC meds I thought we might need onboard. Anybody else in a pre-vacation tizzy like me?

Oh Yes, You are not alone!!!! However, when I start to panic I realize I only have three people to pack for and Curt has 8 ...;)

Hi Kim! Just wanted to let you know that I picked up the boy autograph book for you already. It's in my luggage so I won't forget it either. I'll put your stateroom number on it too. Disneyland was crowded today!

Denise ( and anyone else staying in Port Canaveral area on Thanksgiving)...just to add to the excitement, I highly recommend that you and your family head over to the port channel at 5pm and watch the Wonder sail down it. Ron Jons is very close to Jetty Park, which is at the mouth of the channel as it goes into the ocean. Farther west on the channel is Grills, which is adjacent to a public launch ramp. Lots of activity and food there, and the ship usually sounds its horn as it goes by.(I assume you know about the Disney difference with the horn-if not, won't spoil it here!) Either location is great, and gives you a super view. For first timers, the size of the ship is awesome! Get close to the water! We still go occasionally, and love it! Even when we don't have a cruise coming up!!!

Curt, you crack me up. Now I have this distorted image of you in a Snow White costume complete with high heels and a swim diaper with a gaggle of children following you!! Don't mind me if I bust out laughing as soon as we're introduced!

I wouldn't mind meeting at outlook bar on Sunday for a mai tai or two:bounce: :bounce:

Well, like the rest of you, I'm starting to have nightmares about missing the plane, forgetting a suitcase, the kids getting the barffing flu and all the regular pre-vacation stuff.

I still don't know how many of what kind of clothes to bring for the cruise and the 4 nights after at WDW. I did by DS Matthew a black suit yesterday. Penney's had them for 40% off and I had a 10% off coupon. The whole outfit including tie and shirt was only $37. Not the best use of $37, but he said he wanted to "look handsome like Daddy" on the boat.

Well, off to obsess about more trip details.

Have a great day!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Well, 11 days to go and still no docs. TA tells me they're scheduled to ship today or tomorrow. If they come ground, there's a slim chance I could get them by the end of the week, but probably not till Monday. Maybe they'll expedite, but I'm not betting on it. This is cutting it close and seriously cutting into my doc dance time!!! By the time I get to dance, I'll have to quit to get in the car and do the leaving dance!!!

On the plus side, got my Christmas stuff up this weekend so I don't have to worry about it when we get back. I can just enjoy it and put all the stuff I buy on the cruise under the tree, 'cause that's Christmas for us this year!

I agree. I'm getting nightmares about a suitcase barfing and forgetting a child. No more 12" pizzas before bed until the cruise is over!

Well my kids were sick last week with bad colds and I made them go to school anyway (baaaad mommy!) I have had a headache all day and my throat is sore - I will be on that plane on Sunday morning regardless. It would be just my luck that I am the one not feeling 100%. (it always happens). DS has two out of the three reports due on Friday and we are working on the last one tonight and tomorrow night. One of my co-workers came down with flu like symptoms so I get to be house supervisor from 3-7 when I thought I could escape from here before 5pm. I haven't even started thinking about packing. DFIL was agreed to take us to the airport at 5am Sunday Morning. DH still hasn't tried on his suit which he has not worn in quite some time. I am not spending my whole day on Saturday Men's Wearhouse. DIS meet sounds great for Saturday. Hope we can make it - I am already ready for a boat drink. See you all real soon!

Disneefun, who did you book through? I thought AAA was slow!

We booked through DU, although this isn't their fault. My TA says that Disney had serious printer problems and is behind for many cruises. I guess all of you who got yours got lucky and they were printed before the problems started. Me, not so lucky. :(

Disneefun- you must really be having nightmares.

I can't believe how close we are. Of course I've been this close and not sailed thanks to Hurricane Frances. I pray that the weather is good for this sailing and no one gets sick.

No barfing kids or barfing suitcases
Curt you are too funny- can't wait to meet you. But what if there is more than one man wearing a Snow White dress. What if the cruise Snow White has a 5 o'clock shadow? We will all be calling the poor gal Curt.

April we also are racing to finish projects. Anybody know anything about Billy the Kid?

Looking forward to drinks:drinking1

Does anyone know if we're supposed to keep all the cruise docs in the little booklet or are we supposed to tear them out at the port?

I'm havinglast minute jitters and am sooooo afraid I'll forget something. Every day I'm picking up "must have" items that I'm sure I won't be able to live without while onboard.

I can't wait to see Curt, aka Snow White, running around passing out swim diapers. Something tells me he's going to be a lot of fun onboard!

Dreaming of having my first tropical drink at 3 PM at the Outlook bar!

Anybody have any last minute updates for the list?

Does anyone know how many people are seated at tables for dinner? I'm hoping that we'll be seated with another family so the kids will get to meet and talk to other kids. I really want them to be able to look forward to dinner and/or spending some time in the club.

I'm going to try to bring out the Christmas decorations this week and over the weekend do the majority of packing. I cleaned out the refrigerator over the weekend and have to remember not to come home from the grocery store with any "unnessessary" items. Last year I was cleaning out the fridge at midnight before we left!

Well, all for now! Have a nice night.

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a stupid question regarding door signs. Where do you find the clip art for the signs? Can someone direct me to a link? I did a search on door signs and came up with all sorts of info, but not what I need!!

Thanks for any advice.

Actually, Sandy, I'm one of the few members of the "Snow White Cross-Dressers Club" who has a beard, so if there's a Snow White with a 5 o'clock shadow check his heels. If they're less than 1" high, then he's an imposter. Otherwise, he could be a fellow club member. Be sure to point him out to me.
