Hi Kim we are heading to Vegas too but the last week of May for our anniversary. Still can't decide where to stay. Have fun and this is one where the kiddos stay HOME!

I've not had a chance to follow up on Florida/Universal rates. That's my job for this weekend. Greg is having such a crazy time at work that we might change our plans and do a trip for just the two of us. I think he needs to get away!

I received a promotional offer from Marriott Vacation Club for a 4 night trip to their new Scottsdale timeshare. The rate is great and we only have to listen to their pitch for 90 min. I love Scottsdale. I had to go there twice for work and loved it. So that's a possibility. We also love going to WDW by ourselves and San Antonio. We'll see, that's my job this weekend.

The kids had a sleepover last night. I'm exhausted! Amanda, I don't know how you do it with 4 kids. I only had 4 for 24hrs. and I'm beat and my house looks like a bomb went off in it!!!

It's freezing here again. We had some thawing temps briefly but not long enough to thaw the pool for the diver to go down and see what our pools problem is. So now its in the 20's and frozen again so we wait......I keep my fingers crossed that it will be an easy fix. If it's not, we may have to forgo our Dec 3rd cruise until '06

Has anyone ordered a new DCL DVD? I just saw they had changed the packaging (looks cool) and wondered if the DVD was the same. I haven't ordered a new one since long before our cruise!

Hi all!!

I have a friend from my bible study who is on the cruise now, I'm so jealous! It's still so cold here and we keep getting sick and I've had enough of winter!!!

So my friend told me about her cruise and called me two nights before leaving to ask some questions. She didn't have a clue about cruising and I just could not understand how someone could not obsess, plan, make lists, door signs, go shopping and correspond for months with other cruisers on the Dis boards!!! I actually got anxious that she was just too unprepared!!!

April, our favorite place to stay in Vegas is Paris. This trip we may stay at the Venetian or NYNY (where my family is staying). I will let you know when we get back. We stayed at Rio once which was nice but too far off strip in my opinion. We stayed at Flamingo last time which had a great pool but was very crowded and the rooms were pretty lousy.

I hope everyone is doing well and i think of you all often!!

Hi All, Kim sorry to hear that your weather is still cold. I leave for my mom's on Thursday. She lives about an hour from Detroit. She is having a total knee replacement and I am going home to help her for about a week and half. We changed our plans about Vegas and decided that we would do a four day cruise without the kids. We sail out of Miami and go to Key West and Cozemel. It will give us a taste for these two ports since we changed our Western back to an eastern due to school. I had been a little worried about taking the kids to Key West anyway so this way Eric and I can do it without them. We are sailing carnival and although I know it's not DCL I am sure that we will have a great time. I just hope the crowd isn't too young for us old foggies LOL. It actually ended up being alot cheaper than going to Vegas. so wish us luck. Well guys hope you are all well - keep warm!

April, that sounds like a lot of fun. When are you all going, from waht port> And if you dont mind my asking what was the price? I am payinf $834 or something like that for our trip in Spt that was for a gty cat 12..

Out of Miami - inside state room for $1240 for the four days. That price is for both of us - I am hoping to get a seat sale to Ft Lauderdale. We are going June 2 -6. Hoping my mom is fully recovered since she offered to fly down and babysit. If not my inlaws live right down the street and the kids will have finished school by then so it shouldn't be too hard on them. I have been putting in 60 hour weeks and need something to look forward to! By the way transfers for Carnival are $32 round trip. Aren't Disney's $75?

WOW! That much? My $834ish was total for 2 GTY cat 12, of course it is in Sept. I dont know about that transfer, as we drive down. But I always thought RCCL was WAY cheaper than DCL.

Hi Amanda - is that a three or four day? We really want to go to Key West and Cozumel and you know that Castaway Cay really isn't my cup of tea. I really didn't think that was a bad price. We get two ports and a full day at sea on Sunday. Also what days are you going on - is it Thursday thru Sun? or Sun thru Wed? I am just juggling my schedule at work so I don't have to take any vacation time. let me know I am interested - of course Eric would like a casino since we decided to cruise instead of Vegas.

Hi folks, thought I would check in. It has been a terrible February and I'm ready for March and definitely in the mood to start checking prices for another cruise. I'm just getting over a long bout with pneumonia that I got after my BIL's funeral. I found out that you do NOT want to stay in the hospital that you work at! I still don't have a voice and the kids love it--but they know the day is coming when I will be able to yell at them at a level above a squeak! Hope everyone has had a great Valentine's Day. This is the first I've been on the Internet in nearly three weeks, so it took a while to read all of the postings. Sounds like everyone has great trips planned for this year. How exciting. Kim--I hope you hear something soon on the adoption. That's about it for now. I'm writing off the month of February so I'm expecting March to be extra special!

We've had lots of snow this week, had a great time at the forest school building snowmen, making snow angels, having snowball fights, being snow monsters... you get the 'drift' haaa get it 'drift'!!!!
Watched the holiday video AGAIN last night cant believe it was only 3 months ago!!!

Sorry to hear that you've been so sick. I hope you're feeling better! You definatey need a vacation!

Tracy, good to hear from you. It sounds like you're enjoying your new job. What are the ages of the kids again? I think my kids (5 & 7) would love something like that! How much time each day is spent outside?

Well, I haven't found decent hotel rates or airfare for a March or April trip, so I'm still looking.

Has anyone heard of a discount rate or code for the Ron Jon for next December? Shirley from A Perfect Gift posted a discount code from Florida magazine last year and we got a 2 bedroom at Ron Jon for something like $138 for the night before the cruise. I have to start looking at that so I'm not in my current situation, "all dressed up and no place to go"!!

Kim- Any word from the adoption agency?? I'll keep you and John in our prayers. Also, I'm sorry I haven't done the sticker thing. I forgot all about it until I saw your name online!!! Eeks, sorry about that!

Thank you, Gailyn. Actuall, I'm doing okay--I still don't have my voice back, though. The dear children seem to enjoy the high-pitch squeaks that I try to pass for for talking right now. But their day is coming--someday they'll hit puberty and they'll sound just like that! I've learned a lesson--I've always had this cavalier "northerner" attitude that I can go in and out in 10 degree weather in shirt sleeves. I did a lot of that during my BIL's funeral and I think I've found out I'm just a bit too old for it now. Moving south of the Mason-Dixon line sounds pretty good at the moment (as I bask in a 17 degree morning here).

At present i am working with 3-5 year olds we have a class in the morning & a different class in the afternoon. They are out for about an hour to an hour & a half long depending on the weather & successfulness of the activities.
We may be working with older children in the future as i think the 6-8 year olds would benefit greatly from it, its great for building confidence, independence & self-esteem.
As you can proberbly tell i'm really enthusiastic about it & its great to finally have a job i enjoy!! I have this plan to come over to the US one day & work over there at this & then i would be closer to Disney!! You see my whole life revolves around coming home to Disney!!
Gotta go & do some college work - i've nearly finished my 2 year course & then i'm qualified & will get more money....and yes youve guessed it - i can afford come back to Disney111
