11/25/07 4 Night Wonder - anyone else?

Thanks for the info about the first night being formal night. I guess I need to make sure I pack our clothes for that evening in one suitcase together. Wait, I've read that people say pack things in different suitcases in case all the luggage doesn't come right away. Oh, decisions, decisions. Now I'm really confused about what to do. It would be so terrible if we didn't have our dressy clothes for all of us. Being this is our 1st cruise I really want some nice formal night pictures!! I would love to know what the dining rotation would be also!

Me and my family will be sailing also. We are going down the day before and looking forward to some sight seeing and maybe even a trip to the beach. I hope to visit Grill's for supper. Hope to see everyone on the ship.

I read in a Navigator that dress up night was on Monday night but the cm said that dress up night was when you dine at Tritons which she said is our first restaurant...she did make it very clear though that could change...maybe someone who sailed on the Wonder could clarify dress up night...

From what I have read, you can have formal night on any of the first few nights it just depends on what rotation you are on. Some passengers will be in one restaurant on night one, other will be in Tritons, etc. My understanding is that whatever night you are in Tritons is your formal night. I could be totally wrong though.

By the way, my kids are DS (8) and DD (5) so I am guessing we may meet in the kids clubs Jaime!

I am getting very excited for the vacation. We are going down for 4 days on land before we set sail and my kids don't know anything about it!!! We are going to wake them up the morning of our flight (very early) and take them to the airport. If they ask where we are going we arejust going to tell them that we are going to see some people that they have not seen in a long time. My sister and her family live in South Africa so I am sure that they will guess that is where we are going. Most likely in Chicago during our long layover we will give them their gift bags full of Disney stuff and capture their reactions. I can't wait!!! :yay:

My dd 5 loves to meet new friends so I'm sure we'll meet. Your kids are going to be so surprised! I bet their expressions will be priceless...we told our dd's a while back...our youngest can be very shy so we wanted to prepare her...they talk about there trip all the time...they are so excited we switched to Mickey's Boat!

Is this your first WDW trip and cruise?

I booked my Palo reservations very early this morning (2:30am to be exact). I couldn't sleep. FYI, there was still a wide range of options this morning too so I didn't need to rush to book, but since it's a 4 day I didn't want to take any chances.

Regarding formal nights, I believe it is what they call "dress up night" on Monday.
Sunday-cruise casual, restaurant 1
Monday-dress up night, restaurant 2
Tuesday-pirate night, restaurant 2
Wednesday-cruise casual, restaurant 3

You are in the same restaurant on nights 2 and 3, but on night 3 (Pirate night) you are served the pirate menu.

90 days and counting.... :cool1: :yay:

Is 2:30 am when they open? What time zone do you live in? ...when it's 12:00am in Orlando it's 1:30 am here. We have to wait until the 75 day to make our ressies as this is our first cruise on DCL...but I would like to make them as early as I can. TIA

This is not our first trip to WDW but it is our first cruise. We took the kids in 2004 when they were 5 and 2 1/2. They will be very excited!!!

Also to answer your question (and mine too!) I did a search and what I found says that you can begin booking your cruise extras at 12 a.m. EST on the date that you are allowed.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much...

We decided to cancel our balcony room on Wonder for a cat 12GTY on the Magic...it was only $150 to sail on the Magic...I know the room isn't as nice but it will be nice to have 3 extra days to explore DCL...I hope everyone has a great trip!

So are you saying you're not cruising on 11/25?

Thanks Katy! Just to make sure I'm right, the 11th is the 75 day mark for all of us "1st Time Cruisers"?

Is there a DIS meet set up for our 11/25/07 cruise? I've read on here where alot of people set up a meeting and everyone that has been on the DIS Boards goes to this meeting and everyone introduces themselves and everyone gets to know one another. Just wondering if one has been set up yet or if anyone is interested.

Forgot to ask this...Are you guys making magnetic signs for your stateroom door? I am going to make a few for ours. Also read about the fish extenders but not sure about that yet.

Hello fellow cruisers - have we all managed to book our ressies?

We've booked PALO for brunch on the sea day - could only get 12pm but I'm sure we'll manage:laughing:

Mickeyluv - our door will be decorated and we might even have a fish hanger - if I can sweetheart my mum!

We were lucky enough to get both of the reservations that we wanted: brunch at Palo - 11-12:30 and couples massages in the cabana!!! I would love to meet everyone, just let me know when and where. I can't remember how many of you have kids. Mine are 8 (DS) and 5 (DD). Perhaps our kids will also meet in the kids' clubs.

I am planning on having some door magnets but I am having troubles printing them on my laser printer - the paper gets stuck. I think I am just going to go find some magnetic strips of tape and attach it to some poster board instead.

We are getting closer - 69 days for us. Can't wait and my kids still have no idea!!!!!

I can't believe we are getting this close and we don't have too many people who have actually checked into this thread. Is there another one out there for our cruise that I missed? Isn't the cruise sold out?

I can't wait. I got my room assignment on Monday and my docs should be here on Friday. WOOHOO!!! :yay:

And the kids still don't know!!! :rotfl:
