Like most everyone here we have been FREEZING in the 'burgh. Kids had 2 days off school this week and a 2 hour delay yesterday. Today it was colder than yesterday but they went in at regular time. I really don't understand how these decisions are made. It seems like they have a "rule" about wind chill until they have too many days off or delays and then to h*ll with the rule. Oh well. Elizabeth had lots of fun on her 2 days off - 2 sleepovers with 2 different friends. But she was really ready to get back yesterday.

Oh boy, back to work for me.

Wow! Two days off!! Jessalyn had Monday off (all of the Rockford and surrounding schools were off) -- I think it was due more to the wind chill and the fact that it wasn't going to get above 0. I think it was right around 0 or below every morning this week, but the wind has died down a bit.

I was freaking out last Saturday morning when I had to go to the Chicago suburbs for my hair appointment and it was 7 (but very windy). Now when I go to work, it's hovering at 0 or below!!!

There are rumors that we may hit 20, but I'll believe that when I feel it. I'll probably wear shorts that day.

well just thought I'd give us a quick bump this morning. We are about to go and ride our quads for awhile. I bought an extra tube of ben Gay so I am all set. The day after is always a painful reminder of the previous days fun

Cheri - I went to Starbucks yesterday and since it is in a strip mall, it's just a few steps from the car to the door, so i left my coat at home. Got there, saw on the car that the temp was 23. When I got out of the car, it felt like 70!

Hey Jan -
Tell Dave I'm a definite maybe for that trip. I am a much bigger basketball fan than football but it's fun to take one road trip a year and see a great school and stadium and I think that of all the games on the schedule this year, I'd choose this as first choice. Tell me, how long of a drive is it from Pittsburgh - I know you guys have done the drive so I guess it's not too bad. I personally HATE driving but if it is manageable it might be a fun family trip for the fall. If we come up we definitely will get together!

Good Morninig everyone!!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!! Since this will be our first Disney cruise, and first family cruise, I have been spending a lot of time going through posts here on the Dis and on Cruise Critics. Also reading my new Passporter which came yesterday. Gotta love those Passporters!!!! Anyway, could you guys share some of your experiences on the shore excursions? Which ones have you done and what did you like. Also it looks like you have to book them 75 days out? Is that right? I have got the whole parks thing figured out, but I am going to have to rely on some of you cruise vets now. LOL
