That would be my hope too! If schools are closed, day care is closed. If day care is closed, I can't go to work. :cool1: A surprise day off is always nice when it doesn't involve puking or fevers!

Do you find people DOING Monty Python funnier than just watching Monty Python? I do. :confused3 Brandie
Absolutely! But perhaps that's because we do lines that are ... wafer thin.:lmao:

(Actually, you should have heard Bill1 and Trey doing the lines on our Nov 2006 cruise. They hit quite a stride with it!)

yeah....I see your point about topsiders Cheri....but we missed you guys at dinner that night!!! You made Fabio cry,....:lmao:

I thought you'd all be celebrating!!!:lmao: :lmao: And we made Fabio's job a little easier!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

CHERI!!! wow, its been awhile. Good to see ya! You should already know that dinners weren't near as fun without the three of you there. (yes, kids...another tender, lovin remark from the mutt---don't get used to it...grrrr.......grrrrrr grrrrr) pluto:

Hey all! It's been ONE WEEK since I've posted!!!!

We're still here and all is fine, but we're busy, busy, busy!!! Trying to work our way out of steerage!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I've read a few posts, but have about 9 pages to go through. . .

We didn't get much snow or ice; DD did get sick on the school bus Tuesday, so she had to come to work with us. (On the way home she told me she had a coughing fit which led to the reverse-peristalsis.)

Yesterday she had a birthday party where the girls made mini-scrapbooks. I sent her with Castaway Cay pics. At least someone in the family is memorializing our vacation!:rotfl: :rotfl: I had a 10-K trail race yesterday; the trails were very snowy and I think I mentally called the snow every possible swear word and in every possible combination!:sad2: :sad2: I finished 3rd in my age group and won a whopping $10 for my efforts.:woohoo: :woohoo: (dripping with sarcasm).

:welcome: Holly! Our DD will be 6 1/2 on the cruise.

:yay: :cheer2: :yay: Bob & Lisa! More coal shovelers to help lessen the burden!:lmao: :lmao:

Hooray for the Bears (sorry Wendy!:sad1: )! I see Indy is making a game of it after all. Go Pats!

Gonna get caught up here- - -have a great night and talk to you soon! (I promise!:thumbsup2 )

Is DH (Bill) the third Bill on the cruise?:dance3: Good thing we call his jr Will or there would be four Bills. Is anyone else travelling with younger children? We will be cruising with Will (age 7 on the cruise), Emily (age 5 on the cruise) and Cole (age 2 on the cruise). -Jennifer:bride:

Hi Jennifer,

Yes, so far at least 3 Bill's counting yours. Cruise Mutt (aka Shell's (Woogal) Bill) is Bill #1; my DH is Bill #2.

Our DD, Jessalyn will be 6 1/2 on the cruise; maybe she & Emily will hook up and enjoy the Club together.

Cheri

Trying to plan an outing for mid-winter break to north of Chicago--Gurnee, IL. That will lift our spirits some!

You must be planning some shopping at Gurnee Mills?? The weather sure won't lift your spirits unless we're having a winter heat-wave!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We are west of Gurnee about an hour (depending on traffic).

Dead, like the Saint's game tonight:lmao:

I was rooting for Josh Bullocks (former Husker) to do well -- otherwise, I had to show partiality to the home-town boys.

When I heard them talking about how long it's been since the Bears have been in the Super Bowl, I started feeling REALLY old!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It didn't SEEM that long ago!

:welcome: :welcome: Brandie & family! We're from northern Illinois -- me, DH (Bill #2), and DD who will be 6 on the cruise. This will be our 3rd DCL cruise.

Speaking of Northen IL (and Gurnee), DD has to read for 360 minutes to get a free ticket to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.:thumbsup2 She just read a book to me while I've been typing.:rolleyes1

Alright, Bill #1, can your cousin pull out the win??? Gotta go watch! Talk to you later.

Tonya -- I'm so glad to hear you're back in your house. I've been thinking of you guys all week.:grouphug: :grouphug:

 Does anyone have their excursions planned for St. Maarten? What is everybody doing or thinking of doing?

:cool1: Since this will be our first trip to St. Maarten, we were planning on taking the kids to the Butterfly Farm :butterfly and then off to Orient Beach.:cool2: We have been well warned of the "scenery" at Orient Beach. Is it all "clothing optional" or just parts? I don't want to scar the children for life.:scared1:

Cheri: princess: Emily loves making new friends. She had the best time in the Club on our last cruise. She didn't want to leave the ship.:sad2: Heck! None of us wanted to leave the ship.

We thought going on a Disney cruise was going to be a "once in a lifetime" trip. DH (Bill #3) surprised me with the cruise for our Tenth Anniversary last year. Now we are hooked. We're already "talking" about when the kids get older, we want to do the Mediterranean cruise. :thumbsup2 We've always wanted to take the kids to Europe (I went to High School in Belgium) and what better way than on a Disney ship. You only have to unpack once. :cool1: We want to wait at least three more years. That way, they can appreciate and remember it. That will be a once in a lifetime experience.

Good Monday Morning everyone,
well the playoffs are over. I know some are happy, some are disappointed. My team was eliminated a few weeks back, so it didnt really matter much to me which team wins.
But now that is it settled, i wil root for the underdog. Who ever the critics say will loose, I will root for.
Who are you guys rooting for?? Just curious.

Minnie had a bad dream last night and woke me up shaking and cowering beside me. So I spent part of the night rubing and talking to her until she calmed down and went to sleep.:sad2:
I thought those days were all over when my kids grew up:lmao:

well hope everyone has a good start to their week,

Kathy

Hi Jennifer: Orient Beach is all clothing optional. But I know there are other beaches on St. Maarten that are a little more kid friendly, if that's what you're looking for. The French side tends to be the clothing optional beaches, while the Dutch side is more traditional.

Great! Jessalyn is the same way! Her problem this past cruise was that many of the friends she made early on didn't go back to the Club (after dinner) as the cruise progressed. She was also miffed that they didn't get to do Captain's Closet dress-up on several nights even though it was listed. (At least that's what she told us!!)

Maybe as the cruise gets closer, we'll have to share some pictures so they'll "know" each other before hand!
