Hey, you guys that are veterans what did you do on St. Maarten?

Tyler, who was 4 last time, wanted to stay in the kids' club after being off the ship for about 10 minutes. So after taking him back there, I took a water taxi over to the shopping area and walked forever checking out the stores. Nice and relaxing day! :thumbsup2

Yes, Cheri, we love Gurnee Mills. Last year we went there also for winter break then up to Wisconsin Dells at the Great Wolf Lodge. We also are reading for tickets to Great America. We had them last summer but never had time to use them. My understanding is that they are also discounting adult tickets also. :yay:

Talk to you guys later.

I used to enjoy going to Gurnee Mills & Great America, but we haven't been there for a LONG time -- that hour drive is sooooo far!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: For the reading program, it looks like they are offering up to four tickets at a reduced rate to encourage families to go.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Have a great time at G.M. & the Dells!!!!

Cheri

Uh ... groping innuendos needed? I'm still working on Mike, but I've actually talked to him on the phone and I think maybe ... maybe ... well, I know he's interested:lmao: . Yesterday when Wendy called me (she was pacing outside her home during the first quarter of the game insted of watching it!), I even offered to take him to Orient Beach with me. She seemed to think THAT would work! :rotfl2: Hey, if you come up in July, then we'll have the perfect time to convince him then, too.

Groping will be a start, and then Orient Beach should help. :rotfl2: You'll need to convince (or remind) him of all the pleasures that await him in Key West, Cozumel & Grand Cayman!!! :lmao: If we get together in July, you can offer more persuasion in person!!:rolleyes1

Plus, it'll be our 9-2/3 year anniversary -- that's worth something!

Good morning everyone,

Well it's rainy and cooler today. A very nice change for me. I love 65 degree weather, it reminds me of home. (Oregon)

Nothing exciting around here today.:upsidedow
The furniture repaiman didnt make it yesterday, so he will come today and fix the couch and loveseat. :thumbsup2
That is the excitement for the day around here.

Anybody got some excitement in their day today???

Good Morning all....

Sad news here at our house...yesterday our little :dogdance: got attacked by the neighbor's dog. Lucy-our 9 pound Min Pin was on her chain outside and Rebel-the 85 pound pit bull/rottweiler mix "rolled" Lucy around in the snow and gave her a couple of puncture wounds on her side-at first we thought her shoulder was popped out of place by the way she was crying and limping when we got her in the house....but after a frantic drive to the vet's office we found out she has a swollen shoulder-vet thought she may have wrenched it when she was trying to get away from the bigger dog. Vet says she will be sore today and we could give her aspirin--I didn't know a dog could take aspirin......Called the neighbor who is now checking on their electronic fence to figure out how her dog got out...what a day..:scared1:
Then my DS's glasses snapped....didn't have any contacts because as a good teenage boy would do, he kept forgetting to tell me he needed new ones.. .....thanks for listening to me rant and rave..:lmao:

Was going to go the "home show" in Philly today but I have to work tomorrow and my friends want to go late and stay till it closes--too late for me...I need my beauty rest....and lots of it!!!:lmao:

Hope you all have a great day.....

Okie,
hope Lucy will be feeling better soon. She was probably lucky the other dog didnt do more injury to her.

Christine,
I see congratulations are in order!!! :woohoo:
According to our cruise list you are the proud mommy to a 2 year old girl :rolleyes1
What a strange coincidence that you named her Fiona, Brandie has a daughter by the same name and the same age.

Oh stop it! It's all fixed now ...but I did tell Brandie that perhaps that was the best way to get a babysitter onboard ... just make her part of someone else's family! :rolleyes1

I'm really wondering how Fiona's going to take this trip. I have no idea what she's going to be like 10 months from now; she's normally an extremely independent little girl, with a soft spot for both of her parents. But lately, it has been all Mommy, all the time. :confused3 I think it's just a phase. Sometimes only Mommy can change diapers; other times, only Daddy will do. No problem, just a little strange. I guess it just is a part of keeping us on our toes!!!

On a nice note, she's finally started saying "I love you" back to us, which is lovely! The thought that follows that one is it is only a matter of time before she says the opposite when she gets angry at us! :scared1:

Some background... My siblings were MUCH younger than me, so my mom jokes that Fiona is actually my third child, not my only child. So for a first time mom, I'm actually pretty laid back... though Fiona still manages to scare the bejeesus out of me every so often!

*laugh* We'll see!

Brandie,
I think Fiona will have a great time. Most little kids know they have the run of the ship and love all the attention they get from everyone around them.

Are you going to have her in a princess dress sometime during the cruise??
Many do that for formal night and it looks so cute!!! I love seeing the little girls all over the ship with their princess dresses on, especially when they go to meet the princesses in the atrium. The photos are so awesome when the kids are dressed like the princesses.

well time to do the :laundy:

*crossing my fingers* I'm hoping she has a blast! We have so much fun when she's laughing.

I hope to get her in a princess dress. That involves some participation on her part... princess: We'll see if that happens. She's always been a bit of a fashion diva. :rolleyes1 For a 2 year old, she has some strong opinions! She stole our "Happy Anniversary" buttons from our WDW in October and demanded to wear one.... and I had to wear HER "1st visit" button! Punk! :rotfl2:

Oh, and I work from home... guess I should be listening in to this conference call about Daylight Savings changes... :surfweb: in MARCH... *yawn* 50+ people on this call, so I'm not being missed! :rolleyes1

*wave*
